Chapter 7- Gaining new admirers (New Multiverse)
Sun explores and gains a useful item
—————-
New Multiverse
Sun was still stuck in this new place and had to use the many tricks he used on his Ink, on Ink 2.0. He didn't know why they were obsessed with being near him but he fully blamed his Ink.
While looking like an idiot Ink was dangerously charismatic. He had seen this when they interacted with others and somehow convinced them to do truly insane things. Who thought bungee jumping without the cord sounded like a great idea?
Thankfully it had never worked on him, as he could see the inner demon in their stupidly pretty eye shapes. The villagers had warned him that the Devil can be deceiving but he never truly believed them, until now.
He was currently in what was called UnderSwap, happily exploring the surroundings without having the leech attached to him. It was a rather quiet place and he thought he would visit again in the future. There was an odd skeleton who kept staring at him, but they always teleported away when he got near. He felt mostly sadness when around them, so was more than happy to not be near them.
It had been easy to move around this multiverse, once he had been taken to the Doodle Sphere. It looked identical to the one he was used to and staring at the hanging AU's had given him an idea. Using them as a final destination he started teleporting around this multiverse, thrilled at gaining more freedom.
Of course Ink 2.0 found him eventually but this was the best he could currently get, so he enjoyed it while he could. He had met so many monsters and was annoyed when a goat monster kept trying to feed him pie.
He much preferred it when the monsters tried to attack him...well that was until they spotted his stupid scarf. Even when he tried to cover it up it somehow became visible when around other beings.
He was growing more concerned that it might be possessed and started keeping an eye on it, wary on what it would do next.
"Sun-Sun! There you are! You get lost way too easily. Let me take you home, where it is nice and safe"
Sun groaned at Ink's voice, already dreading the fussing that would occur.
"Where is your Dream? Why don't you go and play with him and leave me alone!"
"He is super busy. You know this my cute little brother~"
Sun was unimpressed with the answer as it was too vague for his liking. He might not like the other Dream but he would have been a wonderful sacrifice, to the crazed Creator. How the other could be 'friends' with this Ink was a mystery.
"Oh yeah, Sun? Want to meet the Council? They have been dying to meet you"
He didn't bother replying to the clearly rhetorical question. It was not like his opinion would be taken into account either way.
"Fine but you are carrying me the whole time. I'm getting cold and i refuse to walk anymore"
"Ok!"
Why Ink allowed and even encouraged his childish behaviour was confusing. Surely it would grow boring eventually but weirdly they looked pleased, every time he made a random 'request'.
He grunted as he was suddenly grabbed and soon found himself in a large room, surrounded by hundreds of skeletons.
"Let me show you our seats! They are so comfy. Dream insisted i change them after having to spend hours here"
Sun stopped listening to Ink and instead sneered at his surroundings. There were way too many monsters here and he didn't appreciate being gawked at like a strange new animal. He had enough of that with the villagers for a lifetime.
Ink tried to put him down but he tightened his grip.
"No. I am not losing my heater so soon"
"Awww, you do care for me!"
He grumbled as he was adjusted in their arms but thankfully Ink finally sat down. The background noise started to quieten down before Ink's voice rang out.
"I am here to update you on Nightmares latest crimes and the request for volunteers to join the Star Sans"
Sun had no idea why Ink was going on about this, as the other Guardian hardly seemed an issue. Sure they caused some damage but he had noticed how they had never killed anyone and left as soon as the negativity reached a certain level. How did Dream never notice this?
He had met more of the Bad Sans, as Ink kept dragging him along, even though he did nothing but sit and watch. He had started chatting to the other monsters but was quick to shut them down, when they tried to intimidate him. He refused to put up with that behaviour, especially from any Nightmares lackeys.
Ink was having so much fun with Sun! He was so much more interesting than Dream, who was too rule-abiding and people pleasing for his liking. They always ruined his fun but with Sun he got to do anything he wanted!
Sure there were a few attempts at playfullying dusting him but the passing months had really calmed them down. Now he rarely had to dodge surprise attacks!
He squeezed them tighter in glee and smiled at how they didn't react, except for a slight hiss. Sun was such an odd being and he was tempted to see if he could make more like him for his multiverse. The other never looked at him for answers or to solve his problems, like all the other AU's did.
The only reason there was a Council of Sans was due to Dreams meddling and wanting to 'unite' everyone for a common goal.
Bringing Sun with him today was a step to solidifying their place in his multiverse, making it much harder for the other Ink to take them back. He was sure that swapping for his Dream was a good enough trade.
While pleased at the positive attention Sun was receiving, there were some that looked a bit too Interested in them. Nightmare was the main issue, as they kept looking at Sun in contemplation, no matter what Ink did to dissuade them. The idea of ending them was becoming very tempting, the longer this went on. It might be fun fighting them but he did not appreciate others getting close to histhings, without his say.
Another annoying issue was Reaper, who hadn't looked away from Sun, since they had arrived. He did not want to test Suns immortality any time soon and made sure to tug on Sun's scarf, to make it more visible for the other. The frown that caused, was wonderful and he hoped this would keep them away.
Not many knew but the Death god had a soft spot for children and often kept far away, in fear of harming them.
The meeting was rather dull and he was annoyed that he had no volunteers to fight in AU's. It would have made it easier to keep an eye on Sun when fighting. He was wary of leaving them alone in the Doodle Sphere. Who knew what monster could grab them when he was away.
"Oi, Ink. Who is the kid?"
What a perfect opening he had been waiting for. Perhaps UnderFell Sans wasn't totally useless.
"This is my little brother, Sun! Treat him well~"
He preened at seeing a few monsters stiffen from his tone and ignored the searing glare he could feel from Sun. He rested his skull on top of theirs, barely listening to some issues several AU's were having. He much preferred when he could dump this boring stuff on Dream. Maybe he should go and grab the other?
He was relieved when everyone seemed to be done but sadly the cuddles would have to stop, as he really needs to 'persuade' a few monsters to join his fights.
"Be good. Big brother will be right back!"
"Please don't"
Sun was glad this meeting seemed to be ending soon and watched as Ink went to annoy some other monsters for once. He had grown bored in their hold but now he would have to wait till they could head 'home'.
He was tempted to run but didn't want to chance ending up somewhere with even more beings. He was going into isolation for days after this, no matter what Ink 2.0 said. He was not budging!
"Why hello there. My name's Reaper. How come I haven't seen you around?"
Sun turned to the voice, unsure why they were floating high above him and out of his reach. He had no clue what AU this one came from, as there seemed to be more every single day. He had even started comparing them to rodents, at the rate they were multiplying.
He was surprised that Ink could make so many but for some reason he felt this was dangerous...meh, not his problem. This can be someone else's issue, he was a 'child' after all.
"I just got recently kidnapped so that is probably why....you feel weirdly familiar. Are you sure we haven't met before?"
"SUN! I'M BACK!"
Of course the idiot comes back when he finds something interesting. He was soon dragged away but waved goodbye to Reaper, feeling strangely fond of the monster. He was a tad shocked when Ink's voice lowered into a whisper, just as they stepped through a portal.
"You should avoid him, Sun. He is a Death god and is very dangerous"
Sun thought his self preservation instincts were pretty good, so was confused when all he felt towards this 'Reaper' was sadness and longing. Just why did he want to be closer to them?
-
Nightmare had gotten regular updates on Suns activities from his many spies and wondered if he could bring them over to their side. It would make his job much easier in the future, if this counterpart was not fighting against him.
It had also been much easier to do his job recently, without his pest of a brother. It was nice having free time again without feeling the balance about to break at any second.
He groaned when he felt a spike in positivity, annoyed that Ink still hadn't slowed down in his Creation spree. Ink might not know about the balance but it seemed with Dream missing, they were compelled to make more positive AU's.
He got up from his chair in the office, grabbing his group in order to spread more negativity. When he arrived at the newly created AU he smirked at seeing Sun nearby and ordered his group to distract Ink.
When he got closer to them their skull snapped in his direction and he was given a truly impressive glare. They were such a funny variant.
He lowered his tentacles behind him and sat a foot away, waiting for his chance to get closer to them.
The fight was going well but he was more focused on looking over at Sun. He frowned when he noticed how dull their aura was, especially when compared to his brothers. Guardians should reflect their emotional spectrum and this Dream type was looking closer to his.
Nightmare swiftly crushed that feeling of worry, reminding himself to think logically. This was just a stranger that looked like Dream. He doesn't care. He shouldn't care.
Sun eyed Nightmare but was more focused on their tentacles. He smirked every time they twitched, due to the emotions changing around them. They reminded him of a cat's tail, which constantly amused him.
He was startled when Nightmare started talking to him but he sat in silence, just listening to their chatter. His attention was about to fully switch to watching the fight, when Nightmare suddenly stopped talking and searched for something in their pocket.
He grimaced when they held out an object towards him, glaring at it in suspicion.
"What is it?"
It looked like a black rectangle with odd pointing out bits. Just who invented this stuff? ...If in doubt, blame Ink. It had become his motto and an excuse when meeting other monsters, with it working surprisingly well. Just what sort of reputation did the Creator have?
" It's a phone. Surely Ink showed you one? "
"Nope. So what does it do?..it's not food is it?"
Nightmare huffed in annoyance and sat closer towards them, forgetting his plan to take things slow. He explained how to use it and demonstrated its different functions, pleased at having their full attention. When he handed it over he was surprised at the excitement he could feel coming from them.
"Thank you"
When Sun looked at him he blushed at the small smile he was given. They looked so innocent when they weren't scowling at everything...perhaps Ink wasn't as insane as he thought for keeping them around.

Ink 2.0: *trying to show off the Council building* So, what do you think?
Sun: *Busy hissing at all the beings in his personal bubble*
-
Nightmare: I don't care about Sun at all!
Sun: *smiles*
Nightmare: ...how hard would it be to dust the Creator?
