AntiVoid
Dream was fidgeting nervously as he stared at the 'window' and the odd view it was showing.
He had no clue why Error had insisted on showing them this but they had looked rather unhinged at the time, having grabbed both twins and dragged them into the AntiVoid before running off.
He was pretty sure he heard something about 'a useful distraction' but he wasn't too sure, his focus fully on what the window was showing. Even his twin was silent for once, both tensing as they heard the Nightmare variant call out for 'Sun' yet again.
"..what is this?"
Nightmare said with forced calm but Dream could easily sense their unease, with their tentacles swaying far more than usual as they observed their variant fervent searching for their supposed counterpart.
"They seem to be much older than Sun.."
Dream pointed out the obvious, just as lost on what kind of place the babybones could have come from and lost on what he even could say. The child was rather tight lipped in general, able to talk about seemingly everything without revealing much at all and neither felt the need to push further.
Dream was honestly impressed that Ink was able to get so close to them, startling when a hand suddenly landed on his shoulder.
"Ink! Dont scare me like that!"
He half heartedly scolded, gaze still glued to the odd sight in the 'window'. He had no clue how long they had been watching, the endless white of their surroundings hardly helping them to keep track.
"Sorry! I thought you would have noticed me but you seem far too entranced. Did Error leave on his weird show again? I swear he is obsessed with it. He should really try better...."
Inks voice trailed off, finally noticing what they were looking at, before rudely pushing the two twins aside to get an even closer look. He ignored their annoyed muttering, his expression going blank as he eyed the scene.
"Why are you like this, Creator?! You only needed to-"
" Don't be so loud! You are going to wake him up ."
Nightmare shuddered at their dead tone, their soulless gaze now focused fully on him. He was about to open his mouth to demand an explanation, when he spotted movement coming from Inks scarf.
He nearly choked as a fluffy golden cat head peaked out, yawning and giving him an unimpressed glare, easily able to recognise that specific look from anywhere.
"What the...Sun?!"
Dream felt his brain break, the realisation of Sun being able to change form not the most surprising fact they were a very odd babybones but was far more baffled with how comfortable they looked to be that close to Ink.
What exactly had he missed?!
Sun grumbled in annoyance at how loud everyone was, letting out a mrewp when Ink gently pet his head, enjoying how comfy their scarf was. He purred when Iris woke up as well, snickering at the deadly glare they gave the Guardians for interrupting their nap time.
As he shook off his grogginess he squinted at his surroundings, tail twitching in displeasure at seeing where they were. He glared up at Ink, his ire marginally waning as they let him feed from their magic.
They had an intriguing magic. Far different from what he was used to from Creators but it still invoked a certain memory. Why was it so familiar...?
His thought process derailed as he spotted them , his ears folding back and hissing at the 'window'. He growled unhappily, only settling down when Iris began grooming him and Ink pet him some more.
This Ink variant was truly his favourite by a long shot but he was still unhappy at what he was seeing, switching his displeasure to the two Guardians. The ruffled chicken was his main target, sensing they had something they wanted to say.
"Sun...Is that your broth-"
"You must be mistaken. I don't have a brother"
He coldly dismissed, daring them to try and argue that. His co-Guardian had made sure to hammer that point across and he felt no urge to try and change things. They had a wonderful system going, before his Birth multiverse Ink had to complicate things. It was an unspoken agreement that they ignored each other and communicated as little as possible and that had worked out great for them!
He did not need to try any of this bonding nonsense, not willing to forgive the many things said against him. He was no longer as forgiving .
Nightmare winced at the hurt his twin tried to hide at Suns harsh statement, knowing how much they cherished their own bond between them and most likely bewildered why no one else would want the same. They were far too optimistic sometimes, using a tentacle to pull them closer to him, when it looked like they were about to argue more with the child.
He didn't fancy being In between a shouting match right now and Dream may not have noticed, but it was now blatantly obvious which side Ink would choose. Why the Creator had become interested grown fond of Sun was a mystery but considering how he was also intrigued by the odd little Guardian, he didn't have much room to talk.
"..he is currently blocked from entering this multiverse. I have made sure of it. What would you like to do, Sun?"
Ink said neutrally, his soulless gaze stuck on the 'window', hands twitching closer towards his red paint vial to the alarm of both Guardians.
Sun was honestly surprised he was being given the choice at all, this Creator truly being an anomaly.
Sure, Carro was somewhat similar but he wasn't clueless to how much more powerful this Creator was to the ones he had met so far, no matter the harmless persona they portrayed. He had tolerated enjoyed their company but he wasn't foolish enough to dismiss that fact as well.
He knew he would be able to do little if they chose to let them here, taking a moment to truly consider his options...and test them at the same time. Fresh lessons had reiterated on achieving multiple results, with as little effort as possible.
"I don't want to see them at all. I don't want them to find me"
"What?! Wait, Sun! Don't you want-"
"Whatever you want, Sun"
Ink interrupted Dream, forcibly closing the 'window', as he had plenty of knowledge pertaining to Code.
Dream was speechless, his eyelights growing when he noticed something odd coming from Ink.
How had he missed so much..? How was Ink even capable of this ?!
Before he could blurt out a question a tentacle covered his mouth, his twin rapidly shaking his head. Both silently watched as Ink easily soothed the agitated Sun, Dream twitching when Sun shifted to their babybones form but still looked unbothered by being held by Ink.
He still had teeth marks from when he first tried to pick them up without warning, looking at Ink weirdly for how they could have accomplished.
This changed so many things....
