Lily and Storm both came running into the kitchen when they heard you open the cupboard that housed the big bag of cat food, the two of them making small mews and pawing at your feet.

"I know, I know, you're hungry. Just give me a minute." You took out the measuring cup and weighed out the cat food, filling all three dishes equally. Three dishes, two cats. You pursed your lips, wondering where the third could be.

"Mogwai?" You called out, pushing open the living room door "Here, kitty."

With no cat in sight and no rustling to be heard you figured he probably locked himself in one of the rooms, that or he was with your boyfriend.

You checked the downstairs rooms, all empty. 'He must be in the bedroom.' You thought to yourself, shaking your head at nothing in particular. You and Nick had a rule to keep the cats out of your bedroom as their hair got everywhere and it was a pain to deal with, especially when you were trying to sleep and it was suddenly everywhere, itchy and uncomfortable. Occasionally this rule would go out the window if either of you wanted some fluffy cuddles.

You knocked lightly on the bedroom door before entering, to let your boyfriend know that you were there. "Hey honey, is Mogwai in her-" You were cut short when you realised Nick was streaming. Thankfully, the door was far enough away from his setup that the microphone wouldn't have picked up your words.

Nick turned around, lifting one side of his headphones off his head so he could hear you. "Sorry, I didn't realise you were streaming." You said sheepishly.

"It's fine. Yeah he's here, he wanted to say hi to the stream." He chuckled, and your eyes landed on the ginger cat in his lap as Nick lifted one of his paws to the camera as if he was waving. You smiled at the sight, it always made you happy to see Nick playing with the cats, it was cute.

"Come on, Mogwai. It's dinner time. Pspspspsps." You made noises to call to him, he jumped off of Nick's lap and slipped through your legs in the doorway. "Have a good stream," You gave Nick a little wave before leaving and making sure the door was closed behind you.

The two of you hadn't announced anywhere that you were dating yet. Although you weren't too bothered about anyone finding out, it was nice to have some privacy in your personal lives. You weren't a streamer or an influencer of any kind so you were a little worried if anything that people wouldn't take too kindly to it if they were to find out. You'd been careful not to show yourself until now but it seemed it would only be a matter of time now before people found out about your relationship.

As you made your way back downstairs and entered the living room, you loaded up Twitch on your laptop. You often played your boyfriend's streams in the background while you did chores or work. You liked to support him, even if you didn't always understand what was happening in the game. You were also curious to know what his chat were saying about your guest appearance.

Once it loaded you could see the chat was going by pretty fast, it was still readable though. Most of the messages were just questions about who you were, whether you were dating or not. It didn't seem like Nick had answered that question yet. A few moments passed before a donation came in; 'Sapnotfound donated $5- Who was that? Was that your partner?'

"Thank you for the five dollars, Sapnotfound. No, that was just (Y/n), my.... housemate," the slight hesitation before finishing his sentence sent the chat wild. Half of them were speculating and coming up with their own ideas of the relation between the two of you while the other half were trying to control it, telling them to respect Nick's privacy.

You laughed a little, knowing that Nick didn't like lying and wasn't great at it. You kept the stream on while you grabbed your sketchbook to work on a new piece. You listened intently to his commentary as you sketched, one thing you loved about him was his voice, it was so soothing to listen to.

You paused your drawing for a moment when you heard another donation come in. 'anime_gf donated $5- Is your housemate single? They kinda cute'

Nick thanked the viewer for the five dollars, a little surprised by the question he had been asked."Uh, no they have a- they have a boyfriend." On his face cam you could see Nick looking between his two monitors, trying his best to focus on both his game and his stream chat at the same time. You smiled at his answer, although you'd been dating for the better half of a year it still formed butterflies in your stomach whenever he would refer to himself as your boyfriend.

For the next hour the stream carried on as normal, the occasional donation but they seemed to be more game-focused now. As Nick as wrapping up his stream and finishing talking to his chat, he received one last donation. 'Victor R donated $10- Would you ever do a stream with your housemate?'

Nick thanked the viewer again for the donation before answering the question, "I mean, sure if they were up for it but I'm not sure they'd be interested. They don't really play games much."

Once Nick finished his stream, he made sure to turn everything off before heading downstairs. He stood behind the sofa and wrapped his arms around your shoulders. "Hey." He greeted you with a small kiss on the cheek. You put down your pencil and placed your hands on his arms, leaning your head back to look up at him.

"Hey." You repeated his hello back to him.

"They were all asking about you on stream." Nick removed his arms from around your shoulders and climbed over the sofa to sit next to you, wrapping his arms around you again.

"I saw." You rested your head on his chest, feeling it rise and fall slowly every time he took a breath, it was the most relaxing feeling in the world. It was moments like this you longed for most in the world, just enjoying each others' company in the moment.

"You were watching me?" He questioned, resting his own head on top of yours.

"Mhmm." You closed your eyes, snuggling closer and focusing on the comfort of your boyfriend's arms.

"So what did you think about that last donation? Would you ever want to stream with me?"

"With you? Of course."

A few weeks later the two of you were preparing for your first stream together, you'd decided that Nick was going to teach you how to play Minecraft, since you had no real idea how the game was played. You set your laptop on the desk next to Nick's monitors so that the two of you were in front of his web cam.

"So, what do we say if they ask about us?" Your boyfriend asked you, he'd told you before that he didn't mind whether they knew or not, it was completely up to you whether you wanted your relationship to be known to the internet.

"Well, we have been going out for nearly nine months now so I guess it's not too big a deal if they find out."

"Does that mean I can kiss you on stream?" He looked directly into your eyes, knowing that it would make you fluster. You playfully hit him on the shoulder.

"You know how I feel about PDA," you laughed. "That's a no." You gave him a quick peck on the lips. "Ready to start?"

Nick started the stream and introduced you to his viewers, you were relieved to see that there weren't any negative messages in the chat. It didn't take long for the two of you to load into the game and for the teaching to begin.

Once the stream hit the two hour mark, the two of you started to finish up what you were doing and you both closed down your games as it was getting late. You both decided to stay on a little longer to talk to chat and interact with Nick's viewers. They mostly asked about his content and when he next planned to upload on YouTube but there was the occasional question directed at you about your hobbies and interests.

Nick noticed a question in the chat directed at you and read it out loud, "Do you have a best friend?" He looked at you expectantly for your answer.

You didn't miss a beat with your reply. "Yeah I do, you're my best friend." You smiled at him as he turned back to focus on his chat again, mostly to hide the small flush appearing on his cheeks.

"You should get another," He replied as you tried to hold back a giggle.

"You don't want to be my best friend?" You asked him jokingly.

"I can be one of them, but... You need a couple back ups." This reply just made you laugh even more, not completely understanding where his train of thought was headed. It was safe to say that he was definitely starting to get a little tired, it seemed almost like he was on autopilot.

"Where are you going?" You asked him again, wanting to know where he was taking this conversation.

He shrugged in response "I'll be around." You really couldn't contain your laughter at this point as his voice raised slightly in pitch. God, your boyfriend was an idiot. He was an idiot, but you loved him for it. "Seems like a lot of responsibility on my end." You shook you're head at him, laughing once more.

"But you're like, my best best friend." You put a hand on his shoulder so he would turn to face you.

"Good. I love you, just... get another one." Your laughter melded together with Nick's as he joined in and you couldn't control yourselves.

Eventually the two of you finished up your stream and said your goodbyes to the viewers. You stood up from your chair and placed yourself in Nick's lap for cuddles, wrapping your arms around his neck.

"That was fun," you gave him a small kiss on the cheek. "We should do it again sometime."

"With you? Of course."
