Escape (DreamNap)
( ✨ANGST✨ CUZ DREAM'S PRSION BREAK)
SapNap gripped the handle to his axe tightly, teeth gritting slightly. "Looking for something?" He asked lowly, causing the male before him to jump. Dream spun around, blinking a few times in shock as he stumbled back a bit. His expression softened, a smile forming on his lips. "SapNap!" He exclaimed. "I'm so happy to see you." He began to approach the shorter male, hands reaching out for his boyfriend. SapNap took a step back, raising his axe and holding it before him. Like he was pointing it at Dream. "Get back," SapNap demanded, voice shaking slightly. Dream froze, blinking again. SapNap took a shaky breath before speaking. "I told you to stay in there," he said sternly, gripping tightening on the wooden stick. It felt as though he could snap it in half at any moment. Dream's expression turned from one of excitement to one of displeasure, dull eyes glaring slightly at SapNap. "Or you'd kill me," Dream spoke softly, blinking slowly. "Right?"
SapNap gulped slightly, eyes staring at the tip of his axe. He could see as Dream grew closer, his netherite chest plate making a soft tinking noise as it touched SapNap's weapon. "Then do it," he said in that same tone, it seeming harsher than before. "Kill me. Kill me right now, Nick." SapNap's eyes widened slightly, breath growing shakier as his hands began to tremble. Dream knew SapNap wouldn't do it. He would crumble if he even tried.
Dream raised a hand, placing his palm against the blade of the axe and pushing it to the side slightly. He inched closer to his distraught lover, whom had his head hanging as his eyes swam with bright orange tears. What was he doing? Why couldn't he get himself to stand up to Dream? Why did it seem like he couldn't do anything? He tensed as Dream's ice cold hand cupped his cheek, trailing it down his face and grabbing SapNap's chin with his thumb and index finger. He made SapNap look up at him, his obsidian colored eyes glistening with an orange hue. It was a sign of being annoyed and angered. Some would take it as a warning, but Dream didn't. He knew SapNap couldn't lay a finger on him even if he tried. "You know I did it for a reason," he stated coldly, brows furrowing as he stared into SapNap's eyes. "You don't like the reason, but you know I wouldn't have done it if it weren't for a good cause."
"Good cause?" SapNap scoffed, grabbing Dream's wrist and prying it from his face. "What 'good cause', Dream?" He asked, backing up a bit. He didn't know where the sudden feeling of confidence came from, but he wasn't complaining. "This!" Dream exclaimed, arms spreading as his lips curled into a wicked smile. "The power, SapNap! I did this for the power!" SapNap felt himself tense....what happened to Dream? SapNap felt himself tearing up again as he remembered what his love use to be like. He was so sweet, so caring. He was selfless, but it was something that SapNap had admired about him. Now be was blinded by the power he held, turning his closest friends against each other. It broke SapNap's damaged heart in two. "No one cared when I didn't have it," Dream spoke, snapping SapNap put of his thoughts. "Everyone had their backs turned to me– no one did the things I did for them. Now look at me. I'm practically a God now!"
"You're wrong." Dream blinked in confusion. His expression changed, brows furrowing as his crazy looking eyes stares at SapNap. "What?" He hissed, glaring slightly at him. SapNap hesitated before locking eyes with Dream. "I said you're wrong," he spat, Dream scowling slightly. "About what?" He asked, SapNap's grip slightly loosening on his axe.
"I cared," SapNap responded quietly, voice cracking. He glanced down at the ground, Dream's mouth hanging slightly agape. "George cared. We cared way before this....were we not enough?" Dream's eyes widened slightly. He laughed slightly, eyes stinging as tears threatened to form. "Liar," he hissed, SapNap looking back at him. "You don't care. NEITHER of you care!" He boomed, clenching his fists. "If you cared, then why did this happen?! Why did I need to seek validation from everyone else!? If you cared so much, why–"
"stOP BLAMING ME!!" SapNap shrieked, drawing his axe back and swinging. Dream just barely managed to jump out of the way, SapNap's axe banging against the stone flooring. Dream felt shock course through his body, gripping the cut that he got on his arm. The axe managed to strike him. SapNap trembled as he growled, eyes stating deeply unto Dream's. They were now bright orange, tears streaming down his face. "I'M TIRED OF BEING BLAMED FOR EVERYTHING Y O U DID!!! I'M NOT GONNA BE YOUR FUCKING PUPPET ANYMORE!!!" Dream was still trying to overcome his shock as SapNap stood straight, hands never letting go of his weapon. "I've been itching for a fight with you, Dream."
"SapNap– SapnAP!!" George shouted, hurrying down the stairs to his injured friend. SapNap lay on the floor, blood trickling down the large cut on his stomach. His eyes were shut, shallow breaths leaving him as he tried his best to stay awake. He winded at George's shouting, head pounding with excruciating pain. He hadn't few cuts on his pained face, blood leaking from the one on his forehead. George began to involuntarily cry as he ran to his friend's side. He carefully lifted SapNap's head, using his other hand to brush his black locks out of his face. "SapNap? SapNap, open your eyes," George pleaded shakily, cupping SapNap's cheek. His hand trembled as he did so. SapNap's eyes squinted open slightly, causing a tiny bit of relief to come to George. "H–Hey– stay awake. Techno's almost here. He has a potion, o–okay?" He spoke, SapNap letting out a shaky breath as he tried to nod. "He–," SapNap started, voice being faint and raspy. "H–He's after Kinoko." George's tear filled eyes widened, too shocked to speak. Dream did this...? And now he was after their kingdom..?
