The next day, they would be playing at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Cosette's hometown. She knew if they lost, Toronto wouldn't be happy with her, nor would her team be happy with her. Not to mention, her ex would be there. But as long as she stayed focused and let nothing distract her, she could win this for her team, for Toronto, and for herself.

It was about 6:30 the next day, and the game was at 7:15. Cosette was doing pre-game interviews as was Noah.

"So, Miss Rentz, recently you've been competing with the young talent of Noah Dalton. But you're not as young as everyone else, how does it feel?" One reporter asked her.

"The kid has talent, definitely has talent but he doesn't know me when I'm angry. I've been in the league for 7 years. The people I played with are retired or captains, this kid is playing with people like Cassie Carlo, Lakyn Smith, the young talent. I played with the experienced talent." Cosette said.

"What are your thoughts on Lakyn Smith?" Another reporter asked.

"Lakyn Smith. Well, I've had my thoughts on her and if I say them out loud I might be kicked off the team or my C might be taken away. All I'll say is she has to know where she belongs. She doesn't belong with people like me, and Noah Dalton, and Cassie Carlo. Nor does she belong with NHLers such as Connor McDavid, Sidney Crosby, Alexander Ovechkin, Auston Matthews, David Pastrnak, or Wayne Gretzky for fucks sake! She skates around acting like a hero, when she can't touch the puck at all! I'm not going to teach her the lesson, cause that's a job for my teammates. I will take down every Western, player by player. And I'm saving Noah for last." Cosette snarled and then walked away, back into the locker room.

Meanwhile, "So, Mr.Dalton, how do you feel about your rival, Cosette Rentz?" A reporter asked him.

"She is definitely something else. She had impeccable talent that I've never seen from anyone else but she isn't what she used to be. I remember the original Cosette Rentz in her prime time, when she scored almost every game and was unstoppable, its like now, she gave up." Noah said with a shrug.

The reporters nodded and soon Lakyn came over.

"How do I feel about Rentz? I hate her. I absolutely despise that girl. Just because she is "a role model" doesn't make her the absolute best! I mean, she was an alumni player when she was 20, but thats besides the point!" Lakyn rambled about her arch rival, Cosette Rentz.

In the Eastern locker room, the chants of, "Welcome Home!" Cosette be heard, Toronto had been waiting for their girl to come back home and Cosette was finally home.

Soon enough it was game time, before starting line ups, a few clips played of the Eastern team's best plays. Then, Toronto did what they always did.

Toronto has given Emersen and Cosette the nicknames, Lightning and Thunder, Emersen being lightning and Cosette was thunder since it was rare they weren't together on the ice.

The song, Thunder, by Imagine Dragons started playing as a montage of Cosette and Emersen's best and most phenomenal plays were being shown.

The crowd started chanting, "Thunder!" as the video played, Cosette was a brutal player and a nasty one at that. Then, they showed her infamous moment. The very first time Noah Dalton and Cosette Rentz faced off against each other.

It was a photo from the ceiling above the ice, a sea of blue jerseys as the thousands of fans could be seen in the photo, it truly was a historic moment.

The ending was a quick close up of the side of her face and on the other half was the side or Noah's face. Everyone knew it was about to get serious since Toronto was where they first faced off.

"Till death do us part, bitches." Cosette smirked at her team, skating to center ice.

"Nice to see you again Noah. I mean, not really, cause I've been doing a lot of research and it seems like your girlfriend, Lakyn, has been cheating on you." Cosette teased him, the ref dropped the puck and Noah was distracted so Cosette quickly won the faceoff, passing to her wingers.

"That bitch!" Lakyn screeched as she skated quickly behind Cosette who had the puck again.

"C'mon Rentz, get the slapshot." Natasha muttered as she watched her best friend skate into the offensive zone, winding up for her powerful slapshot.

Cosette missed by an inch but was able to regain control, quickly passing to Cassie. Cosette nodded and skated back to the bench, fist bumping Natasha, "Go get em Tash." Cosette smirked at her.

*Time skip to after the game*

Cosette had an amazing game, on the other hand, Noaj had his worst game yet.

Cosette had brought home a win for Toronto in a 6-1 game, Kristian scoring the only goal for the Western team.

This would be the beginning of a long goaless game drought for not only Noah but Lakyn as well.

It was time for post-game interviews and Cosette was ready.

"So, Miss Rentz, do you think there was anything you would have done differently this game?"

"Yeah, I do." Cosette said, biting her bottom lip and rubbing the back of her neck.

"We didn't have to start the fight with Noah Dalton. Natasha meant good things, but we that distracted us, letting them get their only goal in. Natasha always means good things in fights, but today's was uncalled for and absolutely unnecessary." Cosette said, shaking her head in disappointment.

In the other locker room, "Any thoughts on Rentz's performance tonight?"

"Personally, she did a stunning job but for my teammates, she demolished us all. I don't think anyone realized how serious she actually is now that she is back to get her status back. And I'm worried for my team cause I don't want nor need her hurting them." Noah said, defending his team.

"This was just a slump, correct?" A reporter asked again.

"A slump? Hopefully the rest of the season isn't like this." Noah said with a slight sigh as he ran a hand through his slightly damp hair.

The Battle of Noah Dalton and Cosette Rentz would be one for the ages, but when friends and teammates interfere, all hell breaks lose and sometimes, you have to put your enemies aside and deal with the problems at hand.
