8| First Fear: Conquered
I wish I never opened this door.
Fresh tears seeped out of my eyes as my widened eyes stared at the man in front of me in disbelief. How the hell?! Isn't he dead.
Br@1n. The man that I was sold to. The man that inflicted all of that pain unto all those people. The man I watched die. But now he's standing in front of me, alive, wielding the weapon that became my greatest fear. A whip.
After those years of getting whipped nearly every day for two years, I thought I was able to forget. But no. Seeing Bryan Alen alive and in the flesh, just brings back all those memories that I struggled to forget.
Walking backwards subconsciously, I reached behind me for the door handle, but it was gone. I turned around and screamed.
What the hell?! There's no door anymore.
I hit the door hard and tried to create some type of hole for me to escape, but all that did was cause a rub tire in the satchel and bloody my knuckles.
I couldn't feel the pain in my knuckles; all I could feel was the urge to escape and find a way out.
But when I started to think about the way he tortured all those children, including me. Bloodlust clouded my thoughts.
I want to harm him. I want to kill him! So many people were sent out for sex trade and the sorts and he was there enjoying it.
Running towards him, I grabbed a wooden plank that was lying on the sawdust covered floor. I could think straight. All I could hear was, I will make him pay!
I used everything in me and jumped at the man at the side of the shed and hit him hard in the head. But the strange thing is that I could feel the plank going through him.
And then, poof!
Everything disappeared, the eerie shed was gradually replaced by the area that I first saw when I got here.
I looked around in confusion and stared at my bloody knuckles.
The knuckles that were covered in blood and grime were now covered in a faint glowing power, it made me feel so at ease, and the pain was gradually replaced with a soothing feeling.
I could hear a faint hum and a warm breeze past by my right ear. "Seems like you've conquered a fear,"
I looked around at the source of the voice and found that Fameya was her again. "Fameya? Where did you go?"
She smiled and walked up to me, "I was always here, you just needed to leave."
I scrunched up my eyebrows and stared at her, "so why am I back here?"
"You're here, because you have completed your first step to embracing your fears and making them your strengths,"
"Could you explain?"
She nodded as her beautiful blue gown swayed in the gentle breeze, "you have to face every fear you have before you can start your quest to closing the portal. You've just conquered you're first one, now you have to do the rest. When you have conquered all those fears, come back here,"
I lifted my hoodie over my head and stared at the beautiful grass below, I let my feet gently graze over the cool water, "how do I come back here?"
"You have to be at peace, mentally and physically. Then picture the place you want to be and meditate on it,"
I nodded, "so if I want to go home......" she cocked a brow,
"Doesn't work like that Missy,"
I sighed and muttered some words. "As the instigator, what do I do when I reach the portal?"
"You need to learn the Marchua. It's some prayer sort of things. You need to know how to deal with your power. But that is not for me to teach you,"
I smiled and nodded, "then who?"
She laughed and then walked some distance, "that's for me to know and you to find out."
I chuckled along with her, because for some reason, her laughter seemed to make me feel more at ease. Same with Juhaia. It's probably a thing about these people.
I looked at the lake then turned back to her, "why could I heal myself?"
"That is probably the Power of The Ushna. You know the combination of your mother and fathers powers." She said slowly, "I don't know how many of these powers there are, but you need to find a Sodzhnam clan member to teach you the way of the clan,"
I looked at her in shock, "you want me to meet my parents?!"
She smiled and shook her head, "yes and no. Sadly, meeting your parents is one of your fears. And it's the most pressing one too. I wish I could do something about it, but I can't. This is your battle," she walked back to the bush after saying this and came back with a beautiful yellow dress and a mirror.
"What are they for?" I asked, pointing at the items in her right hand.
She put the mirror in my hand and dropped the dress on a rock. "Look at yourself," she said.
I did as she said, and my jaw nearly dropped, my eyes were a striking yellow, the same colour as Azura's. They exited a faint glow that made my entire face look better. "Why are they yellow?"
"Yellow is your original eye colour, and since you have yellow eyes, the next fear to conquer is meeting your mom,"
I looked at her in horror, "no way! I can't," she just chuckled a bit and looked back at me,
"Just wear the dress," she slowly disappeared like before after saying that.
"Fameya" I groaned and found a small piece of string to tie my hair into a ponytail. I wore the flowy dress and stated to feel the same pain from the day before.
I held unto my chest and let the drakes slowly envelope my vision, the only thought I had was the troubles yet to come
