Dream found Nightmare in the forest unconscious, he probably was in some bigger fight again and pushed himself through the limits.

Smaller skeleton healed him and when Dream wanted to take his brother to his castle Nightmare woke up.

-WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! - He yelled at Dream when he noticed him.

-I found you here, so I healed you and wanted to take you to your ho- -Dream was cutted of by Nightmare.

-Just get lost and don't make me see you ever again. - Nightmare hated Dream, or at least it was what he wanted to believe.

-Of course, sorry again then - He smiled and teleported to his room.

-Why do you always smile like an idiot - Nightmare quickly ended up in his castle. All of the Bad guys were worried because their boss wasn't home from few hours.

Meanwhile Dream sat quietly in his room, he began to cry, not wanting to worry anyone skeleton forced himself to create even stronger positive aura. Nightmare felt the negativity at first and was proud of himself. But then that strong positivity came in.

-Guys, go to Dream's base and tell him something mean, I don't know. His positive aura is pretty strong and it's annoying. - Nightmare ordered and his crew disappeared in their portals. Killer came back almost few seconds after.

-He's crying and sometimes even whining in pain, when we were closer we could feel that strong positivity, but we don't really understand what's happening. - Killer explained, Nightmare was a bit shocked and just told everyone to come back.

Nightmare then felt how Dream's aura completely disappeared. But he knew that Dream was alive, if he died then Nightmare would die too, or just get weaker.

The positive sibling also knew about that, so he just made his aura so weak that he could stay on at least one HP but wouldn't annoy Nightmare anymore. He was hugging his knees crying again. Then he began to choke on something and he passed out.

Nightmare couldn't accept the fact that he was worried about Dream, his small little brother that he still deeply loved. He only headed to his room and went to sleep.

When he woke up he became even more worried, Dream's aura still was so weak that Nightmare still wasn't able to even feel it. What if Dream took his words too seriously? What if he wanted to make himself GONE? Just like he wanted?

Nightmare only teleported to his brothers base, Ink and Blue were out, like all that time from few weeks. It seemed just like they abandoned him. When the older sibling opened the door to his smaller brothers room he saw how Dream was laying on the floor almost without any life left inside.

Why didn't he came before? Why did he abuse him so much mentally? He only ran to him and took smaller on his hands.

-Dream..? Dream wake up, it's okay, I won't hurt you anymore. Ink and Blue will come back soon to check on you right? They wouldn't want to see you like this, come on! Open your eyes...! - Nightmare felt tears in his eyes.

-You will wake up soon, you're just very tired right? You wouldn't give up on yourself so easily! I know you, just show me that good old Dreamy! Just... Open your eyes, o-or even move your head a bit! JUST SHOW ME THAT YOUR STILL ALIVE BROTHER! - Nightmare began to cry, he was responsible for this and of course he was aware of that. He broke that positive guardian, he was the one to make him give up on his life.

Then Nightmare saw a book next to them, it was opened, when he read the first sentence he understood. Dream putted himself in a long sleep, in a sleep that will never end. And to believe it was only because Nightmare was so mean to him all that time.

-There is a way that will bring you back right brother? You wouldn't do something that dumb only because of me, you're probably faking it just to scare me! - Nightmare shouted and just looked at the almost lifeless body.

-Why? - He asked knowing no one will respond and broke down in tears.

-Did they really left you? - Nightmare said looking at the cabinet where normally a picture of Dream, Blue and Ink was, but now it was somewhere else.

-What happened? And WHEN happened?  When I could still save you if I wasn't so selfish? - Nightmare hold Dream to his chest in a gentle hug.

-You always giggled when I hugged you like this... Will you ever smile again? Or even open your sweet little eyes..? - Nightmare felt happy at the old memories when it wasn't that bad.

-Guess you start caring about some things only after you loose them? - he laughed quietly and kissed Dream in the forehead.

-I will find a way to get you back, I love you brother! - Nightmare slowly letter go putting him on the bed.

-I love you so much... - Nightmare covered Dream in blankets and teleported back.

Years passed, Nightmare explained situation to the others and still there was no way to wake him up. King of negativity slowly gived up, he wanted Dream back, but he understood that there was no way.

Dream was gone, and it was only because of him.
