How cliche
Another older dream, also copied and pasted from my art book, but it's not nearly as badly written as the previous one. And it's much longer lol.
So as usual this all began with me on a quest. I was on a journey with 6 "friends" (honestly I've never seen them before, but dream me thought of them as friends). I don't remember their names but there were 4 guys and 2 girls. My friends had convinced me to go with them on their quest to kill a "monster" that they told me was evil ( like Sauron's level of evilness lol) and they were trying to find it.
This monster that my dream called a Cavwasten ( or something like that, I don't know, this isn't even a word lol ), can see a few days into the future, and it has, what the people in my dream called, nature magic. It can control the earth and plants at will, but only if it touching the ground. It's range of what it can control at once is limited to what it can see clearly. They are immortal, But now there is only one left in the world the rest have been killed off. I was told that it is evil and would try to destroy the world as I knew it unless we stopped it. So I agreed to help them kill it.
Heres a drawing of a Cavwasten, drawn by me (obviously):
Altogether we estimated that it would take us a year to reach the Cavwasten's lair. We packed light(ish), bringing only the armor and weapons we had and one of us had a satchel full of food for the journey that we'd restock when we had the chance. My weapon of choice was a sword (dream me was actually pretty good at sword fighting, probably because I watch the Lord of the Rings too much lol).
At first the journey wasn't very challenging for the first few months, but once we were halfway there, we started running into trouble. Someone we guessed as a servant of the Cavwasten kept attacking us at the worst of times. He was also skilled with magic. Like one time we were crossing a canyon cliff side when we saw him standing in the other side where we were trying to get to, when he held his hand up towards the top of the cliff and caused boulders to fall from it and destroyed the path in front of us. And on the few times he spoke to us he tricked us and would make us think we were going the wrong way when where going the right way, this caused us to waste days trying to find the correct path.
One day however we were standing in some ruins near a river when the Cavwasten's servant literally appeared out of nowhere and, using his magic, had me pinned against a wall with his sword at my throat. He threatened my friends to turn back or he would kill me.
My "friends" only gave me an unconcerned glance and told him to go ahead and kill me and that I'm not important to them. Apparently they only needed my skills for their quest, but I was still expendable and unimportant to them. They never thought of me as their friend.
With them having said this, the servant guy ( ok it'll get old to keep calling him this so I'm just going to go ahead and call him by his name, Jack XD ), Jack with an expression of sympathy to me in his eyes, proceeded to swing the sword towards my neck. I closed my eyes before it hit me, but a few seconds after, I still didn't feel any pain so I opened my eyes only to find myself standing in a cage looking into the emerald green eyes of the Cavwasten who was outside of the cage I was in.
Obviously I was terrified at first, after all here in front of me was the creature who I believed was super evil and would kill me. So it was a great surprise to me when he wrote 'hello there' in the ground with his claws. Confused at what's happened in the past 5 minutes, I slowly said 'hello' back at him. The Cavwasten proceeded to write 'do not be afraid, I won't hurt you'. I relaxed somewhat and decided to take a look around me.
The cage I was in was a corner of a relatively small room that had a weapon rack in the back of the room and there was an opening big enough for the Cavwasten to fit through, and I could somewhat see what was outside of it. What little I could see was what seemed to be a cavern with crystals on its walls that glowed slightly.
The Cavwasten wrote 'he will be back soon' and looked to the space on his right in front of the cage I'm in. I was in the middle of asking what he was talking about when Jack once again out of nowhere, appeared where the Cavwasten was looking at. Then I remembered that the Cavwasten can look into the future and probably foresaw him coming back in that moment lol. Jack then proceeded to draw his sword and told me to give him my sword that I still had. The Cavwasten then wrote 'she will not try to harm me' into the ground, but I still gave Jack my sword and he put his back in its scabbard. Then I asked him what happened back at the ruins. He explained to me that he tricked my not so friends into thinking he killed me by using his magic into showing them an illusion of him cutting my head off. And he had teleported me back here into the cage I was in, while he lead them away from the right path to the Cavwasten's home.
Jack told me that he felt sorry that my "friends" betrayed me, and that he decided to give me a second chance. Of which I was thankful for. I asked him what was going to happen to me now, but before he could answer the Cavwasten started writing in the ground again. He wrote to Jack 'she will become a protector of this sanctuary with you'. This caused Jack to have a sad look, but at the time I didn't know why. I asked 'what sanctuary', and Jack explained to me that I was at the home of the Cavwasten, the very place that I was originally trying to find with my now enemys, on their quest to kill the Cavwasten. It is the last safe place for the Cavwasten, a sanctuary.
When I told him about what my former friends said about the Cavwasten, about how he was evil, Jack told me that Cavwastens aren't evil but people kill them for their power. Whoever kills one will get its nature magic and immortality, and so they have been hunted to near extinction. My former friends want that power and they tricked me into thinking that Cavwastens are evil to get me to help them.
Then I asked what a protector of the sanctuary does and Jack said "come on, I'll show you around the sanctuary first then I explain the rest", then he unlocked the cage door and nodded his head towards the doorway on the other side of the room. And the Cavwasten walked out of the room and Jack and I followed.
As I walked out of the doorway I was met with the beautiful sight of a huge cavern with pillars made of crystals, of which I assumed was made by the Cavwasten. The Cavwasten looked back at me and saw my awestruck face and gave me what could be counted as a smile lol.
The room that had the cage I was in, was at the far end of the cavern and at the opposite side of the cavern there was an incline on the wall that went about 50 feet high and at the top there as a huge gate. This was the only exit and entrance into the sanctuary.
I can't quite remember what the rest of the cavern/caves looked like but there were a series of caves that each had a purpose and Jack and the Cavwasten showed me around the place lol.
After the "tour" of the place, the Cavwasten left Jack and I and went to some other part of the sanctuary and we started talking. I started asking about the sanctuary protectors, and Jack told me about how once I say the oath become one I will be immoral just like him and the Cavwasten ( dream logic, idk ).
Jack also told me about how there were 4 other sanctuary protectors that were his friends, but they had died defending the sanctuary from 10 hunters that wanted to kill the Cavwasten. Poor Jack almost started crying while talking about them. And all of his friends were also skilled with magic. While Jacks magic is mostly illusion magic and telekinesis, each of his friends have a different kind of magic that they could control. One knew healing magic, another could control fire, one controlled water, and the last one could control the weather. Ever since that day when his friends died he's been the only protector of the sanctuary.
Then my dream had a bit of a time skip to a few weeks later.
Jack and I were practicing sword fighting when the Cavwasten ran into the room we were in and wrote 'they are here' into the ground. We then heard a loud bang coming from the entrance to the sanctuary. Then the Cavwasten wrote 'they found a way to hide from my foresight' ( don't ask me how, I have no idea, dream logic I guess lol. in fact some of the stuff that's going to happen next probably won't make sense either lol ).
Jack and I then proceeded to run out of the room we were in and made our way to the gate. The Carvwasten stayed in the room and didn't follow us. Once we reached the gate we drew our swords and stood there for about 5 seconds then the gate broke open and my former friends walked through with their weapons drawn.
They looked surprised to see me with my head still attached to my body, but that did stop them from still trying to kill me. Without saying a word to us they swung their swords in our direction with the intention to kill us.
And also in that moment, the ghosts of jack's friends appeared to help defend the sanctuary ( see, I told you there'd be things that won't make sense in this lol ). They blocked the others swords and stood ready to help Jack and I protect the sanctuary. Jack was both happy and sad to see them again. I was just shocked that there were ghosts in front of me lol.
But regardless of a bunch of ghosts showing up, we still had a sanctuary to defend and so the battle continued. And so we fought, I was fighting against one of the guys while Jack fought the guy who I considered to be the leader of the group. After a few minutes of intense sword fighting, four of my former friends were on the ground dead. And Jacks ghost friends (lol), were helping us fight the last two.
At this point so far, Jack and I only had a few small cuts and bruises on us, but somehow the guy I was fighting managed to throw me into the ground, but before he stabbed me the ghosts killed him when his back was turned, this caused Jack to looked back at me. This gave who he was fighting the chance to stab him with his dagger and so He stabbed Jack in the stomach with it and Jack fell to the ground. At that point I screamed "no" really dramatically ( kind of like how Frodo did when Gandalf fell to his "death" XD, some of you probably have no idea what I'm talking about lol )
I jumped to my feet but before I could stab the guy, the Cavwasten showed up and with a flick of his tail, my former friend started to turn to stone and sank into the stone below him.
Since that was taken care of I ran to Jack and kneeled down to my knees next to him, who was still alive, but dying. We had both become close friends over the time we knew each other, so I was actually pretty devastated watching him bleed out in front of me. I held him in my arms and started crying and he said to me "I don't want you to share the same lonely fate I did when my friends died, I'm not ready to die just yet, not when I've found someone as noble hearted as you." ( cliché much )
And then one of Jacks friends walked (or glided, since he's a ghost XD ) over to us and smiled at us then held his hand over Jacks wound and it, to my surprise, began to heal. Then I remembered that on of Jacks friends had healing magic.
Once it was fully healed Jack sat up and we watched as our ghostly friends faded away, but not before they bowed in our direction and waved to us goodbye.
Once they were gone Jack and I didn't even say anything to each other, we just sat there and hugged each other.
And that was when I woke up, very confused about what reality I was in lol
The end. I hope you guys enjoyed this really really really weird story that I dreamed about.
