Seventeen-year-old Eloise Marlow is supposed to be on her best behavior as the newest Debutante in Belle Parish, according to her mother. When she comes of age, she'll be married off to a boy from a wealthy estate, but only if she follows the rules and keeps her nose where it belongs. In a gossip-fueled southern parish where the rich pull the strings behind the overreaching church, it's nearly impossible for Eloise to mind her own business.
