question: Can you show me how to do leafwing wings?

leafwing wings can be pretty tricky to do, and there are a lot of different styles for them.
here are a couple for reference:

and of course, we have the original Joy Ang base up at the top of the chapter.

i'll be sticking to my personal style for this tutorial, but don't be afraid to make your own design for leafwing wings! it not only makes it easier for you to not have to reference the joy ang bases every time you want to draw a dragon, but it also 👏 makes 👏 your 👏 art 👏 unique 👏!

^ now i'm doing the leafy details. i am referencing the joy ang bases for this, but i'm not following every small line.

^ for these lines, just do whatever fits the shape best! it doesn't have to be symmetrical lol.

aaand we're done with the sketch! you can line it at this point, but i just color my sketches because i believe lineart is the spawn of satan. (aka i'm a lazy ass)

and shade it...

and we're done!
