i've been drawing a lot, but i tend to hit a point in my drawings where i get sick of looking at it and wanna work on something else. so i've started working on simpler pieces when i get frustrated with the more complex ones so that i don't just stop drawing entirely. in this case, i decided to expand on a little doodle for the future ko-fi commission guide thing i'm slowly churning away at (remember: join the discord and you can still request a free doodle!) and see if i can't make some profile pictures that i actually drew. using your own art as your pfp seems to be an effective way to draw potential clients, and i know i've found artists that way.

i like what i ended up with, but i'm torn between two versions that are almost identical. one is relatively flat:

and the other has a slight background gradient and a noise filter applied.

i figure i should stick to the simpler one for a pfp, since it's not like you can see those details at a distance anyway.

in the meantime, i'm still churning away at keith! i got frustrated with it bc i had to redraw several of the flowers, still need to add more, and had trouble shading his upper hand to match what i did to the face, but he looks lovely thus far and i think it'll actually look really good when it's done!
