Samantha sat on her bed, clutching a box of tissues. Her room was dark, the windows were closed and the curtains were drawn. There were a few used tissues that were crumpled up on her right side. She sniffled and blowed her nose. She exhaled heavily.

Her eyes were puffy and her expression was tired. The back of her neck and her nose was beaded with sweat, and she wiped it away. Her long, dark hair was untidy and tangled, making her appear to be a mess.

There was a knock on her door, and it opened, letting a small amount of light shine into the room. China poked his head in.

"Samantha?"

"Don't come in here!" she yelled hoarsely, her voice cracking. She tossed the used tissue into the pile, then took out a new one. "You'll get sick too."

The girl coughed, then sneezed so violently that her upper body flinched and her eyes watered.

China opened up the door, walking in and heading to her bed. He sat on the edge of the mattress.

"Aiya! Why didn't you tell me about this, aru?" he exclaimed. "What sickness?"

"Allergies. I usually get over this by sleeping and drinking water..." she replied, sniffling.

"And why didn't you turn on air con?" he demanded, snatching up the remote and turning it on.

"I didn't want you to use up more money for your electricity bills," the girl replied.

"When did it start, aru?"

"This morning."

The country sighed, shaking his head in amusement and clicking his tongue. "I have the medicine in the storage room. You wait here for me, okay? Don't go anywhere, aru," China instructed, placing Panda on her lap.

"Do you think I can go anywhere?" Samantha grumbled. She stroked the little bear, then hugged it to her chest.

Yào chuckled. "True." He left her room, going to search for the medicine.

The teen sniffled, exhaling again. She sighed. She couldn't do anything in her weak state. Not even saving China the trouble for paying a few more dollars for his electricity bills.

The Asian nation returned swiftly, carrying a red box. Samantha eyed the label, reading the Chinese words printed on it. She laughed, making China raise his eyebrow in confusion.

"What's so funny aru?"

"Your medicine is literally named 'Very Suspicious Medicine'. People won't trust you to give them the stuff if it's actually named that..." she pointed out.

"Ah...it's that I don't exactly know the ingredients for this medicine, aru..." China said, sitting down and opening the lid of the box.

He took out two pills and gave them to her. She eyed them warily, for she didn't like taking pills. She took a sip before washing them down with her glass of water. She blew her nose again, then looked at him.

"What now?"

"Just stay in bed and rest for a while, aru. I can stay with you if you want," China offered.

"Yeah that would be nice," Samantha replied and sniffled.

He reached over and patted her head, then sat on the other end of the bed. As they chatted and laughed, the day seemed to go by quicker than usual.
