Tea and Bravery

Thump. Thump. Thump.
Draco felt his hand twitch, his heart pounding out of his chest as his father stood up and shook Mr. Greengrass's hand. Sealing his fate to be married in the future. A glitter outside the window made his eyes move sharply to the right. The glittering object moved out of his view and he looked away. Sinking back into the numb of his father's voice talking about his future.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
"Draco. Draco!" He was snapped out of his head by his mother. He looked over to her. Eyes zeroing into the pearls hanging around her neck.
"Yes mother?" He asked and it happened again, the glittering object passed by the window.
"Heads out of the clouds dear, your father will be here soon" she said and turned back to the parchment in her hands.
He bowed his head and it flew away.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Draco.
He snapped awake, forehead beaded with his own sweat. The fluttering pulled his left ear. He got out of the bed and he saw it again. He wouldn't let it get away this time. He threw open his bedroom window and Accio'd his broom. It darted away and Draco was quick to follow it. Twigs and the wind clawed at his skin as he moved. He reached out, fingertips almost touching the object before he gasped, scream dying in his throat as he wiped out on his broom.
His back slammed against the ground and a sharp pain ripped its way up his spine. A shrill, curdled cry escaped his mouth. His sleep robe ripped and torn at the bottom and covered in dirt. His iridescent hair was tainted with dirt and fresh blood. The world blurred together as Draco saw the glittering object float by his face. The glow dulled and two small feet landed on his nose.
"Now Draco! You act like you've never flown before" a tanned face smiled at him. A small tunic made out of knitted grass covered the small..things modesty. Wired glasses and unruly hair. Red thin wings sprouted from his back. Like a fairy..
Draco was looking at a fucking fairy.
Maybe his head wound was worse then he thought.
"Hellooooo?" He jumped from his nose to his cheek, leaving gold dust in his wake. "Draco?"
This thing knew his name.
"Oh! You are bleeding! We need to get you help!" Then suddenly he was floating.
Past the woods, the creek, the old tree where Draco broke his wrist. Down deep into the thicket where he hit his head on a door. He let out a sharp cry at the pain.
"Oops! My mistake! Sorry"
He was laid down on a bed of hay. With two flaps of the things wings it flew into a different room.
"I need help!" Two people walked into the room. A cat woman and a elf. The redheaded elf snorted.
"Caught yourself a poofer Harry?" The eleves ear was tugged sharply and he shouted in pain.
The cat woman slunk up and looked at him. "He looks seriously hurt Ron!" She mewled and Draco had to be going insane.
He marvelled as a fairy, cat and a elf tended his wounds. He cringed in pain as he was sat up.
"What brought Harry to you Draco?" The woman asked and sat down.
He suddenly had his voice. "What..?"
"Harry is a fairy, he grants wishes..to those who are miserable in life..he is pulled to sadness.." The woman explained, taking a drink out of a steaming tea cup that made Draco thirsty.
The fairy landed on his shoulder. "What is wrong Draco?" He asked.
"I..there is nothing wrong..you are clearly hallucinations from my head wound, I am still bleeding out on the forest floor..not bandaged talking to a cat, elf and a fairy." Draco flicked Harry off his shoulder. "You aren't real. I'm dying."
"Well then you having nothing to loose in a wish do you?" Her eyes glinted with mischief from behind the lip of her tea cup.
"I..suppose not" he said gently.
"Whats your wish Draco?" Little footsteps on the back of his neck made him shudder.
"I wish..that I could have control of my fate"
Thump. Thump. Thump.
"All you had to do is ask Draco" he whispered to him. He flew back to the table and grunted as he pushed a tea cup over to Draco. He picked a leaf off a plant in the middle, crushed it up, sprinkling it in the tea.
"Drink from the cup Draco" the woman said warmly.
His hands shook and he sipped the tea. It didn't taste any different, just like regular breakfast tea.
"Okay..n-now what?" Draco asked.
"It'll give you enough courage to take control of your life, don't worry, you'll feel the effect, Harry will take you home now, won't ya mate?" Rons ears wiggled and something sparkled in his eyes as Harry helped him out.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Draco woke up the next day, completely out of it. "Harry?" He called into the stagnant air. To get no answer as the fairy wasn't there.
He got up and felt..different like he could do anything. He looked at himself, hands dragging to his own hips. He undressed himself and put on something different then his normal formal suit. He walked downstairs to be met with the Greengrass family and his parents.
"Draco! What are you wearing?" His mother squeaked.
Draco didn't have any "let loose" clothes people would identify with. He had put on a poet shirt that laced up midway from his collar instead of frills. It was tucked into black wool pants and those were tucked into dragonhide boots. His hair was brushed to the side instead of slicked back. He was very undressed for a Malfoy but would still be considered stylish to Draco's standard.
"Clothes mother, why are the Greengrass's here?" He inquired and sat down away from them, grabbing some toast and slathering it in jam.
"Well Draco"
Thump. Thump. Thump.
"We are here to discuss the wedding and conceiving of the Malfoy heir" his father informed him.
Whatever was in that tea, must've kicked in because Draco took one bite of his toast and went- "I'm not getting married father."
Lucius looked gobsmacked, before composing himself. "Draco." His tone was firm and warning. "Please, he doesn't know what he is talking about."
"I'm not getting married" he brushed the crumbs off his lap and stood up. "You can't make me"
"Draco." His father rose. "You are obligated. My only child."
"You might've felt obligated." He challenged. "I feel no reason to give away my life to this woman who I do not love"
"Perhaps he needs time to know her Lucius" his mother piped up and his father stilled.
"Very well..I'll allow him a week to get to know her" he said smoothly, "starting this Monday"
Draco opened his mouth but his mother shushed him quickly.
The week happened as followed.
On Monday, Draco awoke to the tight collar of his suit and the insufferable morning sun as he took Astoria on a walk through the gardens. She wore a dress that outlined her breasts and was rubbed the wrong way when Draco didn't pay attention to them. He made the mistake of telling his father after and suffered a long lecture about how he needed to be attentive.
On Tuesday, Draco skipped out on seeing Astoria and Harry had surprised him in the woods. They had talked endlessly. Harry was so charismatic is awoke something in him. Deep in his gut. He went to bed wondering just what the hell it was.
Wednesday brought nothing but tears and torn dresses as Draco dryly with irritation, helped up Astoria who had tripped over her overly high heels. He felt sympathy and tried to ask if she was okay and she had broke to him that this wasn't something she wanted. She confined that her parents largely in debt and they needed to marry her off to someone wealthy. Draco listened as she snotted on his expensive outdoor coat. He didn't mind, the coat was ugly anyway.
On Thursday, Draco had found Astoria was a wicked liar as she stated straight to his father's face they had spent the whole day together when really, Draco had been with Harry and Astoria had gone..somewhere.
Friday and Saturday were spent with Harry, only Harry who had stoked something deep within Draco that made the latter shiver. He had gone to bed with goosebumps on his arms. What was happening to him?
When Draco saw Harry again, he was baffled at the fully grown male who approached him. His blood didn't know wether to go to his face, his heart or his crotch. Harry was fit..but not overly..tanned and his stupid hair and wire glasses fit him perfectly and Draco about died. Large red beautiful wings were folded back and his ears were slightly pointed. Eyes a sharp emerald that struck Draco in two places.
"Harry I thought.. you couldn't..be.." Draco didnt get through his sentence before a loud noise echoed through the forest, right behind Draco and something whizzed passed his ear. Harry's smile fell and he sunk to a knee, his hand touched his shoulder and drew back with blood.
Draco whipped around and his father held a gun, loading another iron pellet.
"Father!" He grabbed the barrel struggling against the blond haired male. His father had shot Harry..for no reason. He shifted and accidentally pulled the trigger in the fight. Shooting his father straight through the head and he dropped dead. He blinked rapidly as the world around him started to blur.
"Harry!" He cried, running over.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
"Harry?" He said frantically "my wish didn't work I- I'm sorry! I only made him angry, I'm not courageous Harry I'm sorry!" He felt something burn in his eyes.
Harry took his hand, weakly smiling. "Draco there..was nothing in the tea" he whispered. "That bravery..came from you, only you.."
Draco sobbed and it surprised him. "Harry..no.." He sniffled.
"I've always wanted to be equal to you..since I saw you" he breathed. "This is my only wish.." He leaned and delicately pressed their lips together.
Draco kissed back like it would help Harry survive.
"Harry I love you"
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Draco shot up in his bed with a sharp cry. His hands fisting sheets that were too bloody red for Draco. Where was he?
A tanned hand cupped his cheek and brought his chin over. Sleepy emerald eyes looked at him. "Dray? Did you have another nightmare?"
He had to blink before he relaxed and held his hand over Harry's. "Yes, it was..rather odd..would you like to hear it love?"
He chuckled and nodded "tell me all about it dray"
Draco relaxed as he started to recount to Harry, though his heart was still pounding.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
