I woke up at 11 a.m feeling miserable, but breakfast in a tray was left at the table beside me. I didn't have any appetite, With my pajamas that I have no idea how I wore them I went to the bathroom took a shower and wore my red sweatshirt and black pants then went to the kitchen to find mom seated and dad beside her looking worried and concerned. I frowned, what the hell was wrong? I made my presence noticable "Morning" I mumbled. Dad looked at me with concern and mom's eyes were puffy like she was crying, she got up and hugged me tight. I hugged her back still have no idea what was wrong, "Hi dear, how are you?" mom managed. "I'm..weird, what's wrong?" I asked, mom looked like she was going to cry again but she bit her lip, I frowned in confusion that's when all past night events came back with full force. First, Catching Jason making out with a girl I don't know, Second, Losing my sister in the weirdest way possible, and then I passed out. My knees buckled and before I could fall dad caught me, that's why I woke up feeling like there was an apocalypse in my body. Tears were building up but I forced them down with all the strength I had left in my body. I shut my eyes, choking back a sob and my parents hugged me, I hugged them back. "Its going to be okay sweetie just breathe" I let out shaky breaths, and i was thankful they didn't ask me the reason I had an emotional breakdown yesterday. After almost an hour of grieving with my parents I finally went into my room like a zombie i was, I heard my phone ring when I looked the caller ID it was Daisy video calling me, I sighed and picked it up her worried face came into view.

"Hey girl"

"Hi..." My voice still scratchy from my dry throat.

"How are you doing?"

"I feel like the world declared a war on me" I croaked.

"Should I give you some space or should I come?"

"I...I don't know" I said. "Im coming over with Tom" "I nodded and hung up. After a couple of minutes I held the doorbell and staggered to the door opening it to see worried Daisy and Tom's worried faces, I welcomed them and we went into my room. "Hey girl" Tom said. "Hi" I replied. "Maddie, don't worry you'll forget him as days go on, that bastard" she said. Move on? For now? Easy for you to say, "it hurts" "I know and im not going to say I told you so" I glared at her. "Sorry, already said it, the house is so quiet today where's Julia?" mentioning her name was like punching me at the gut. I chocked a sob and they went to me, hugging me and comforting that's when tears came full force and I cried while hugging them "She's gone.. I dont know what happened, one minute she was with me and another she got sucked into this portal thingy" I said between sobs. "What...?" they said in unison and kept hugging me. When i stopped crying they tried cheering me up but I coped with them a little and then we did some stuff like painting our feelings away and they stayed a little bit longer then they left.

Jason tried reaching out to me but my parents didn't let him. I didn't block his number yet, he kept calling and texting me. Apologizing but I was in no mood to deal with that shit at the time, Days went by and my friends made sure I was happy and not with Jason. And i felt a bit better but I still felt guilty for not saving my sister to whom I had no idea went, I tried to tell myself that it wasn't real but the nightmares said otherwise, It took me weeks and the 'B' from the necklace to get me back a little in shape. My parents weren't happily coupley anymore but a sadly couple, I kept having weird dreams about worlds that only existed in fantasy novels and weird messages and I thought I was going crazy but my friends kept telling me that dreams had meanings but I still didn't believe them, Magic didn't exist but my mind kept reminding me of how my sister was sucked inside the 'portal' and I took an oath that I was going to find her anywhere she was and I'm not going to rest until I do, I decided that to be brave, i had to be different, i had to shut my crying, pitying and grieving self. So one day I decided I was going to look different and be different.

I took a few strands of my hair and dyed them red, I know you're gonna ask why but hey I needed to be different and I love red soooo, I wore my ankle high boots, black jacket and a red t-shirt. Looking myself at the mirror I held the necklace "I won't stop looking for you Julia, even if it will cost my life, i will be brave..for you" I said. Okay, I know i looked like I was bloodthirsty but no the red and black? That's my colour and I loved wearing my colour who doesn't? I took my backpack and went to eat breakfast my parents giving me a once over "What are you wearing?" my mom said. "Clothes?" "That say "i'm a bounty hunter and i'm going to kill my target today" I laughed. "But its great to have you back" Mom said cracking a smile. "I know and I did this for all of us, I'm gonna look for her" "its too dangerous" "I know but I dont care, as long as I find her I'm ready to go through a lot" "Madison its too dangerous, We dont want to lose you too especially after your current relationship status" dad said. "Dont you want to see her? Dont you want to look for her?" "We'll let the cops handle it" "Cops? Yeah sure, they're going to make one of those portals and go to her then come back with her, yeah that's a great idea" I snapped. "Madison Frank Anderson, you stop talking right now" Mom said glaring at me. I couldn't believe they just said that, I got up angrily and headed out to my college classes, they are not stopping me, not them or anyone else. I took an oath and Im going to make sure I find my sister.

I met up with my friends and they looked at me as if I was walking on a red carpet "damn girl, you going "Bad Blood" or something?" Daisy remarked. "Jason is so lucky you're not Cloudy June because it would be big girls don't cry, they set your house on fire, they're making you regret the things you said to them last night big-" Daisy cut off Tom and he glared at her. I laughed then it faded when I saw Jason heading our way like a big jerk he was. As he was approaching Tom asked "He's coming Maddie so, Taylor Swift or Cloudy June?" "Shut up Tom, and he is going through me first" Daisy said glaring daggers at Jason. Said Jason reached and I looked away, "I think the halls are that way? Or do you have amnesia" Daisy said. Jason looked at her "I came here to talk Maddie" "Well sorry but she's off limits" Tom retorded. I think I should talk, I did avoid him for weeks but now..Im tired of it. "Its okay guys I can handle it" I finally speak. "You sure?" "Yes..I'm sure" I give them an encouraging smile. "Okay, but if you want him punched don't hesitate to call me" she said with one final look of disapproval to which Jason replied with a glare, she left with Tom.

"Uh..Hi Madison"

"Hello"

"How are you doing?"

"I'm okay"

"Uh..Madison, I came here to say-"

"-that you're sorry, I know, you told me many times ago"

"I should've thought before acting"

"Which you didn't, I get it you're sorry and all that but..its not gonna cut it Jason, you hurt me..really bad and you made me feel miserable that night, I couldn't forgive you, you shattered me into pieces.. At all times and places it had to be at the party? To which you took me on a date" I say calmly.

Jason looked down "I don't know what came over me Madison I.." Tears glinted in his eyes, I wished I felt sorry for him but I couldn't. I had to be brave..just like Julia told me.

"You were supposed to be with me that night, but I didn't know that you were going to ditch me and makeout with a girl I dont even know, And what if I hadn't found you that night, you could've done something and not tell me and I would be left in the dark and you could've done it every single fucking day... I should've seen that coming, guess I wasn't lucky.. I'm breaking up with you"

"What....?"He said looking at me in disbelief. "Madison please..don't do this, please give me a second chance-"

"For you to break my heart again? I don't think so, Its over, I'm breaking up with you Jason, I had fun when it lasted.. Its okay, I won't hate you anymore, but I'll never forget what you did to me. Goodbye Jason" I turn and walk away heading to Arts class leaving him there looking all sad, actually? I felt..light, I felt free that I finally broke up with him. I explained everything to my friends before the professor came to start the lesson and they were proud of me for taking that step.

After lessons I left with my friends and went home, and we planned to go to Freddy's. After showering, I wore a white turtleneck with an ankle length grey jacket, jeans and boots. I applied some lipgloss, and tied my hair back into a ponytail leaving the red strands hanging, I heard the doorbell and went to open the door finding two smiling faces. "Hi" "Hey girl" I stepped aside, letting them in. Daisy had wore a white t-shirt under an oversized jacket, black jeans and sneakers, Tom wore a black t-shirt, baggy pants and black sneakers. "Y'all look amazing" I said. "Ditto" Tom said. "Well what are we waiting for?" Daisy said. I smiled and went to the kitchen to find mom. "Hey mom, Im going at Freddy's with my friends" "Okay be back early" "Okay bye" I left mom drinking her green tea while surfing on the internet.

We decided to walk since it wasn't that far and we just wanted to walk. Talking and laughing but then I felt a flash in my mind like the sudden whiteness then it fades. When I opened my eyes my friends have stopped walking "Madison are you okay?" Daisy asked. "Yeah.." "You dont look good to me" Tom stated. "Im fine just weird I guess, let's go" We started walking again. I check the time finding it was 20.14 p.m. After a couple of minutes we enter the restaurant and sit at the corner booth,me sitting at the window  across Tom and Daisy. We order our food and I drink water while waiting for the food, it was then again I got the same flash again. "Here's your order" the waitress said giving us the food. I took my burger with french fries, while the others taking their food too and we all started eating. Halfway, I got the same flash again and I dropped my burger. Daisy and Tom looked at me with horror then down at me. I frowned and followed their gazes that's when I matched their look too. My hands were glowing, glowing! Was I dreaming?! My hands trembled and I bit my lip from screaming.

My hands were emiting a soft red glow, "M-Maddie..? What the fuck is that" Daisy said, her voice trembling. "I....." I couldn't talk, I was too scared to talk. I shoved my hands in my pockets, "Maddie... Did your hands just glow?" Tom croaked. I nodded weakly then raised my hands and they were back to normal, "How did they-" They glowed again and I shoved them in my pockets and ran to the restroom finding no one. I raised my now glowing hands and placed them on the sink and it froze, I quickly stepped back and shook my hands and a blast of red shot and blasted the sink, leaving a trail of water, I choked a scream. What was happening to me? I heard the door open and saw Daisy looking at me then she looked at the sizzling smoke and then at my hands. "Maddie? We need to leave..right now before you blow something else" she said. I started seeing things different, "Maddie your eyes.. They are glowing too" she said now terrified. I looked at my hands then I heard footsteps, "Daisy someone is coming" "What? I don't hear anyone" I kept hearing footsteps "Someone is coming!" I rushed to her.. My hands not glowing anymore then I touched her, and after I did that, we were not in the restroom anymore.

We were outside. "What just happened?" Daisy managed. "I..I think we disappeared" "From... Please tell me I'm dreaming" "Worry about that later, right now lets take Tom and get the fuck out of here" I stated and we went back in the restaurant, Tom noticed us and he frowned in confusion. We acted casual and went to him "How did you-" "Explainations later, we are leaving" "but we are not done eating" "Tom! This is important" He got up and we left the money.

"What the hell happened" Tom asked. "Turns out Maddie has powers" Daisy said, recovering from her shock then explained everything to Tom as we kept walking, "Maddie did you know that you had powers?" "No" "how did this happen?" "I don't know! I'm trying to figure it out" I snapped. Tom winced "Im sorry im still paranoid" he relaxed. Before reaching home, we someone ahead of us wearing a cloak. "Who is that?" Daisy asked. The stranger started walking to us "Uh..Hello?" Tom tried, but the man kept walking to us, that's when we started backing away and he started walking faster. Tom turned and started running, followed by Daisy then me and the stranger started running too. We kept running and I looked back just in time for the stranger to wave his hand and an invisible force knocked me off my feet. I landed and turned slowly crawling backwards, "Who are you" "Its time for you to die" the stranger said in a deep voice. "What..?" The man then created a ball of blue light and kept walking to me. My friends started running to me but the man waved his other hand and they were knocked off their feet.

"Guys go!" They weakly got up. "Go! Now!" They started backing slowly then ran. The man raised the ball and threw it to me, I raise my hand covering my face and didn't feel anything. When I removed my hand the man was far away from me. I got up and ran straight home, passing another way. Running and not stopping....
