The class ended and Hermione left immediately. She knew what those smells correlated with but she didn't want to admit it to herself. She missed him too much, it hurt so badly.
  On her way out someone tapped her shoulder and she turned around.
  It was Draco.
  "Can we talk?" He asked.
  "Why should I?" Hermione asked.
  "Just give me a chance to explain." Draco pleaded.
  "Fine. But I have class shortly." Hermione said. She didn't want to hear him talk, but she couldn't say no.
  He led her down the hallway to the courtyard which was empty at the moment. They sat on a bench.
  "So?" Hermione asked. 
  "Hermione I'm so sorry." Draco said. Hermione tried to keep her cool.
  "Sorry for what? Breaking my heart?" Hermione said, trying to avoid eye contact with him.
  "Yes. Also for being an absolute jerk. I didn't mean anything I said to you that day. You have to understand that-" Draco said. Hermione furrowed her eyebrows at him.
  "How do you think I could possibly understand that?" Hermione asked.
  "It's just, I don't want you to get hurt. I can't exactly tell you why, I just can't be around you anymore." Draco explained.
  "I know why." Hermione glared at him. Draco gulped, of course she knew he was a death eater.
  "So why speak with me now then?" Hermione asked.
  "It's just not right how I did it the first time. I need you to know- incase anything we're to happen." Draco admitted.
  "Know what?" Hermione asked.
  "I love you." Draco said. Hermione sat stunned and then began to cry. Draco became frantic and confused.
  "Did I say something?" Draco asked. Hermione punched him on the shoulder.
  "You arrogant prick! You expect me to just forgive you like that because you told me you love me? Well of course I do, because I'm stupid when it comes to you. How could you do this to me? You know I can't reject you." Hermione said. Draco almost laughed.
  "I'm so sorry Hermione." Draco said. Hermione wrapped her arms around him in a hug. Eventually they pulled away from each other.
  "You know I still can't be with you though. At least for now." Draco said. Hermione sighed.
  "I know. But as soon as Voldemort is defeated, I expect to see you running into my arms." Hermione said. Draco laughed.
  "Deal." He said. Hermione kissed him on the cheek.
  "What changed your mind on telling me?" Hermione asked.
  "The Amortentia." Draco said.
  "All I could smell were memories of us. I know you did too." Draco explained. Hermione blushed.
  "I love you." Hermione said.
  "Goodbye Granger." Draco said.
  "Goodbye." Hermione replied.

20 years later:
A freckled blonde little girl runs through the wall and onto the platform at 9 and 3/4.
  "Mummy, daddy! It's uncle Harry!" She exclaims as her parents follow suit.
  "Hello uncle Harry!" The girl says. Harry smiles down at her. Next to him stands his wife Ginny and son James and daughter Ruby.
  "How are you Minerva?" Harry asks the girl.
  "I'm good." She responds with a shrug.
  "Can we get on the train now that the Malfoy's are here?" James asks.
  "Sure darling." Ginny says and hugs her son goodbye. The three kids board the train along with many others.
  "How are you doing Draco? Hermione?" Harry asks. Hermione and Draco share a thoughtful look with each other. They couldn't be happier.
  "Perfect." Hermione responds as the parents watch their kids leave for Hogwarts.
