Trip Towards Love

A/N: Hey everyone! Hope you guys liked the last oneshot. It didn't have a happy ending, but I had that idea, and so, I wrote it. Also, I assure you, this oneshot won't be like the last one. Read the A/N at the end to find out when the next oneshot will be out. On with the chapter!

Also, credit for this idea goes to @dunleejane. Thanks!

"Remind me why am I here again?" Draco sighed as plopped down on his bed. When he had to agree to come home for the holidays, he hadn't expected his mother to do this.

"Maybe because you needed an excuse to hang out with Granger." Blaise smirked at him.

Draco threw his book at him.

"Why would Granger be here anyway? I mean, she can be here if she wants, but Narcissa said that this was a trip for Pureblood families." Theo sat down next to Draco.

"I am happy that Draco didn't stay at Hogwarts for the holidays. Maybe you two can finally convince him to confess his feelings to Granger." Pansy said and looked at Blaise and Theo.

"Even if we managed to convince him, there will be still three weeks before he can meet her." Blaise said. "It's not like Granger is joining us for this trip."

Pansy stared at him. "Why? Will it be a problem if she joins us on this trip? Narcissa loves her, doesn't she?"

"B-but, the trip is just for pureblood families?" Draco narrowed his eyes at her. "Or is there something you are not telling us, Pansy?"

"I promised Narcissa that I won't tell anyone." She smiled at him.

Draco groaned. Trust his mother to do something on this trip.

They were interrupted by a 'pop'. "Mrs Malfoy has said to tell you all that its time to discuss the details of this trip. Also, there is a surprise guest, so she wants Master Malfoy to dress nicely." The Malfoy House-Elf, Kelly, bowed and dissapparated with a 'pop'.

"Wonder who this surprise guest will be." Draco rolled his eyes as the others left his room.

----------

"Ahh... There is my dear son." Narcissa hugged him and kissed his cheek. She led him, and his friends towards the newly built dining hall, and told them to take their seats.

"First of all, I am really glad that you all agreed to go to this trip." Narcissa smiled at everyone.

"I still haven't agreed to it." Draco muttered, his eyes narrowing at Blaise who was smirking at him.

Ignoring his comment, Narcissa continued, "I have made a few changes to this trip. The Parkinsons, Notts, and Zabinis are going on a trip to Australia. Turns out that they had already planned this a few weeks ago. The Lovegoods, Weasleys and other Pureblood families are also going on trips, so I am afraid that only we will be able to go to this trip that I have planned. That is, if you three want to go with us." She looked at Pansy, Theo and Zabini.

Theo spoke for the three of them. "Of course, Narcissa. We already asked our parents for their permission, and they said that we can come with you, Draco and Lucius to this trip."

Narcissa clapped her hands. "Brilliant. Astoria called me earlier and said that she too wanted to come with us on this trip."

"Is she the surprise guest? Because if she is, then I have no intention to stay here any longer. I can just to the Quidditch pitch and-" Draco stood up from his chair, but one look from Narcissa was all it took to make him sit back down.

"Quiet, Draco. And, no, she isn't the surprise guest. I didn't know you were this excited to meet our surprise guest. I do hope you will like her." Narcissa pointed her hand towards the door.

"There she is!" As the doors opened, Narcissa stood up to greet her.

Everyone looked at Draco when they saw her. He looked as if he was frozen. Blaise smacked his head, and watched as Draco's eyes widened.

For a moment, he didn't say anything.

And then:

"GRANGER?"

------------

Draco was not going to go on this trip.

As soon as he had seen her, he stood up from his chair, and went back to his room. He didn't come out when his friends called him. And so, there was only one person who could convince him now.

"Draco open this door." Narcissa knocked on it.

He didn't answer her.

"You know that I am perfectly capable of breaking this door, don't you? So, if you don't want that, open it right now." She again knocked.

Draco snorted. His mother won't break the door, he knew it.

"You open this door right now or I'll destroy your latest broom and tell your Headmistress to remove you from the Quidditch team." She threatened him.

With a flick of his wand, the door opened. "Should've just listened to me first." Narcissa muttered and sat down next to him on his bed.

"Right, so let's go straight to the topic. Why did you run away from there?" She asked him.

Draco sighed. "Can you tell me why Granger is here? She is not a Pureblood."

"Stop the changing the topic, Draco." She looked at him, and he looked away. "Oh whatever. You remember Mr G?"

He nodded. Mr G was a very famous person in the Wizarding World. Nobody knew his full name, but they knew that he was quite powerful and was the owner of 'The G Industries'.

"Have you ever wondered what is his full name?" He nodded. "Well, I don't know if it was a coincidence or not, but when I had gone to the G Industries before you went to Hogwarts for your eighth year, I saw Miss Granger talking to Mr G."

Draco narrowed his eyes at her. "Surely, you don't mean-"

"Miss Granger is Mr G's daughter, Draco. And now you obviously know who Mr G is. He is none other than Mr Robert Granger." She said.

Draco couldn't believe it. "But then that means that Granger is a Pureblood. And she is not! She is a Muggle Born-"

"Oh Draco, you are so oblivious, aren't you? Didn't you ever wonder why she used to flinch when anyone called her a Muggle Born when you all went back to Hogwarts for your eighth year? You told me that you noticed her flinching, but she never told you why. And whenever Mr G came to Hogwarts this year, Miss Granger wasn't present there. Didn't you ever realise?" She shook her head.

Draco sheepishly nodded. "The Grangers are a Pureblood family, Draco, but most people don't know about them. When the first Wizarding War ended, they decided that they will live as Muggles. They thought that the Wizarding World was dangerous, and so they shifted to Muggle London. Miss Granger didn't know about that until the Second Wizarding War ended. Her parents decided that it was time to tell her the truth. Of course, she was shocked. She used to believe that she was a Muggle Born, and suddenly she got to know that she is a Pureblood."

"But then why didn't the Weasleys, or even we, didn't recognise Mr G when we saw Granger's family in Diagon Alley before my second year started?" He asked her.

"That's because they always used a glamour charm on them. Everyone thought that the Grangers went missing after the war ended, and when Miss Granger came to Hogwarts, we all thought that she was a Pureblood, but then, we were proved wrong. Nobody knew that she was actually a Pureblood, not even Minnie who went to give her the Hogwarts letter. The Grangers used to own a hotel, but when Miss Granger started going to Hogwarts, they made The G Industries. When I went there, he didn't have his glamour charm, and I saw the similarities between Miss Granger and Mr G. That's when I knew that she is a Pureblood." She explained it to him.

Draco didn't say anything for a few moments. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

"Because I wanted you to apologise to her for calling her that foul word all these years. It didn't matter that she wasn't a Muggle Born, you hurt her, Draco. Anyways, I decided to plan this trip, and invite them. Mr Granger said that he and his wife were going on a business trip, so only their daughter would be able to come." She told him.

"I still don't want to go on the trip." He muttered.

"Draco," She placed her hand on his shoulder, "I know you like her, and yes, your friends told me, but I noticed that too. They told me that you have been avoiding her even since you apologized, and that isn't good, Draco."

"You will go on this trip. And you know better than to do otherwise." Narcissa stood up, and exited his room.

"I just hope I can stay away from her on this trip." Draco said, and started packing his things.

--------------

Three days later...

They had arrived on their first destination. Spain.

"Alright everyone! There are four rooms in this villa. You all will be staying in pairs. The pairs are: Blaise and Theo, Hermione and Draco, Pansy and Daphne." Narcissa told them.

Draco groaned. This was not happening!

"Any problems?" Lucius asked them.

Hermione raised her hand. "Can I please not stay with that ferret? He is bloody annoying and I can't stand him."

"I can't stay with that beaver! She's irritating, and frustrates me all the time. I refuse to let that beaver be my roommate." Draco told them.

"Draco! You shouldn't insult her. Apologize to her right now." Narcissa told them.

Draco gaped at her. "She literally insulted me first. You should scold her, and not me."

"She is our guest, Draco. And you will do as we say, otherwise you are free to sleep in the garden." Lucius told him.

Draco shook his head and went to his room. He will throw her books if she called him a ferret once again.

"Don't worry, Hermione, I will make sure he behaves." Narcissa smiled at her. "You all can go to your rooms now, dinner will be served in an hour."

Hermione went to her room, and saw Draco lying on the King-sized bed. She shook her head when she noticed that there was only one bed.

"You are sleeping on the couch, or the floor. Whatever you prefer." Draco told her.

Hermione took her wand out, and threw him off the bed. "What the hell, Granger? This is my villa! My freaking villa! If it were upto me, you will be sleeping in the garden."

Hermione paid him no attention. She pointed her wand towards the bed, and using a spell, changed the king sized bed into two single beds. "Ever heard of the word 'magic', Malfoy? Or were you too busy insulting everyone?"

Draco glared at her. "You won't speak like that to me in my own home. I will my parents to send you back home."

"As if they will listen to you." Hermione smirked at him.

She was definitely going to enjoy this trip.

-------------

One week later...

It was their first day in Italy. And of course, Hermione and Draco were again roommates in the Malfoy villa.

It seemed as if the Malfoys had their villas all over the world.

Contrary to what she originally thought, Draco proved to be a decent roommate.

Only decent, nothing more.

He didn't insult her anymore, well except for calling her an infuriating bookworm, he didn't say anything else.

As for Hermione, she called him ferret whenever he irritated her, or snatched her book from her because he was bored.

She was just reading her book, when he exited the bathroom.

He wasn't wearing a shirt.

Draco didn't notice her as he was busy drying his hair with the towel. But when he did notice her, he saw her staring at him, or more specifically, at his chest and abs.

"Like what you see, Granger?" He smirked at her.

"I-I... I wasn't... I j-just..." Hermione stuttered. She was sure that her cheeks were red right now.

"Am I making you stutter now, Granger?" He slowly walked towards her. "Did I make you speechless or what?"

Hermione drew in a sharp breath as he leaned over her. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone that you were staring at me."

He leaned closer to her, their faces just a few centimetres away. Hermione was about to say something, when he placed his hand on the bed, and grabbed his shirt which was lying next to her.

"My shirt." He whispered. "See you later, Granger." He winked at her and went back to the bathroom.

Hermione shook her head. How come she didn't notice his shirt lying next to her?

-------------

"Alright, spit it out, Granger." Pansy told her as she ordered two drinks for them.

"What do you mean?" Hermione asked her.

"Just say that you like, Draco, Granger. No need to hide it." Pansy told her.

"I don't like him at all. You are crazy for even thinking that." Hermione shook her head.

Pansy sighed. Salazar, she was as stubborn as Draco. She didn't understand why they weren't together yet? Everyone could see their chemistry.

"You are my good friend, Hermione. And I am glad that you accepted my apology, and we bevame friends, but seriously, you can be awfully stubborn at times." She told her.

"Hermione now, am I?" She raised an eyebrow at her. "And for your kind information, I don't like him at all."

"Okay, so if you don't like him, then you wouldn't care if Astoria stood really close to him, will you?" Pansy asked her.

"No."

"If she sat next to him?" Pansy again asked her.

Hermione's answer remained the same. "No..."

Pansy smirked. "Then you surely wouldn't mind if Astoria leaned close to him, and whispered something in his ear? Or when she drew circles on his arm?"

"What? That would never happen." Hermione shook her head.

"Yes, or no, Granger? We all know that Astoria likes him."

"N-no..." Hermione whispered. "Besides, that won't happen. You are just saying random things."

"Really?" Pansy chuckled. "If you believe I am saying random things, looked behind you. And you will know what I am saying."

Hermione did as she said, and her eyes widened. On the table near the wall, Astoria was sitting next to Draco. She was sitting really close to him, and was whispering something in his ear, all the while drawing circles on his arm.

She didn't know why, but she smiled when Draco removed her arm from his, and shifted away from her. Before Astoria could say anything, he called the waiter and paid the bill.

"You will deny that even now?" Pansy asked her.

Hermione turned back towards her. "Is it really that obvious?"

"Of course it is! I bet everyone at Hogwarts know that you like him, except Draco of course. He is the most oblivious person I have ever met." Pansy shook her head.

"What should I do now?" Hermione exclaimed, and placed her head on the table, covering it with her hands.

"Are you sure you are the Brightest Witch of Your Age?" Pansy looked at her. "Just go and tell him, idiot. That's what you should do."

"Are you kidding me?" Hermione looked up at her. "He doesn't like me. He can't even stand me, Pansy. How can I just go and tell him that I like him? I will make a fool of myself."

Pansy shook her head. It was time to make a plan with Narcissa, Lucius and the two idiots.

--------------

One and a half weeks later...

They were supposed to celebrate the New Year in the Manor, but Hermione somehow convinced Narcissa and Lucius to visit Paris.

It had been a long time since she had visited the city, but still, she managed to be a good guide to everyone else. They found the facts, that Hermione had told them, quite interesting.

The only one who hadn't was Draco. He would yawn everytime she would tell them something.

Everyone except Hermione and Draco were eagerly waiting to go back to the villa in the evening. They had decided to put their plan in action today.

They were currently standing in front of the Eiffel Tower.

Blaise checked his watch. Three hours were left until midnight. "Perfect." He told himself. They had plenty of time to make sure that their plan worked.

Draco was busy eating his apple while Hermione told everyone else some facts about the Eiffel Tower. When they were done, they all turned to leave. Hermione was walking next to Draco, while everyone else walked behind them.

Suddenly, Hermione tripped.

She would have fallen, if it weren't for Draco who immediately dropped his apple, and caught her, his hands around her waist.

Hermione stared at him as he didn't remove his arms from around her, even after steadying her. His apple lay forgotten on the ground.

"Quick, Theo. Use that spell now." Narcissa whispered to him.

Neither of the two noticed them. "Careful, Granger. I just dropped my apple for you, it doesn't happen often." Draco told her.

"You think your apples are more important than me?" She narrowed her eyes at him.

Neither of the two noticed Theo conjuring a Mistletoe above their heads. He knew those two wouldn't doubt him since it was the holiday season, and Mistletoes used to appear anytime anywhere.

"Uhhh... Draco?" Lucius called him.

He immediately removed his arms from around her and turned towards the others. "Did you see how careless she is, father? She should thank-"

"There's a mistletoe above you two." Pansy said.

Draco froze.

Hermione's jaw dropped.

Slowly, the two looked at each other and then at the mistletoe. Draco gulped and looked back at her.

"We promise we won't look." Blaise said and the others nodded.

"I-I am not doing this." Hermione crossed her arms in front of her.

"Would you rather stand here all day, or just kiss that idiot ferret?" Theo asked her.

"I won't kiss her." Draco too crossed his arms in front of him.

"Don't make me imperio you, Draco." Narcissa muttered, but thankfully Draco didn't hear her.

"Suit yourself." Lucius told them, and they dissapparated, leaving the two people staring at each other.

"I don't think we have any choice." Draco sighed.

"I'll kill you for this, Malfoy." Hermione glared at him.

"You have got your Ls and Ss mixed, love." Draco smirked at her and placed one of his hands on her cheek, while the other rested on her waist.

Hermione shook her head. "Might as well get over with it." She slowly placed her hands on his chest.

Draco slowly leaned down, and pressed his lips to her. After a moment, he felt her kissing him back. Their lips moved in sync while he slowly stroked her cheek with his thumb.

Slowly, Hermione pulled back from him. "Draco..."

"Hermione." He whispered, and kissed her again.

Unbeknownst to the two of them, everyone else had apparated a few feet away from them. Narcissa took a picture as the two kissed each other.

----------

Neither of the two acknowledged the kiss when they came back to the villa.

For Hermione and Draco, it was as if the kiss never happened.

And nobody saw them to prove otherwise.

"Time for the next step." Pansy told Narcissa as she saw Hermione and Draco going to the kitchen.

Narcissa nodded and went to the kitchen. She quickly engaged Hermione in a conversation about S.P.E.W while Draco talked to Blaise.

Nobody noticed Narcissa mixing a few drops of a potion into Hermione and Draco's drink. "Here you go." She smiled and handed them their drinks.

"You two drink these, and we will go and set up the table outside. Don't forget to bring the cookies, Granger." Blaise told them as everyone else left.

Hermione took a sip from her drink. "Let's bake the cookies, shall we?"

-----------

"So, what's your favourite colour?"

Hermione thought for a moment, and then said, "Blue, or maybe red. Yours?"

"Green." He immediately answered.

"How predictable, Draco. No wonder your room is full of green coloured items." Hermione rolled her eyes.

Neither acknowledged the fact that she called her by his first name.

"What do you want me to say then? Yellow? I am not a Hufflepuff, Hermione." Draco smirked at her.

Again, they prefer to ignore the fact that he too called her by her first name.

They were playing twenty questions while they waited for the cookies to bake. They were currently on question eighteen.

"What should I ask?" Hermione scratched her head. "Okay, so why did you hate me?"

Draco looked away from her. "I never hated you. It was quite the opposite."

His eyes widened when he said that. He had no intention of telling her that? Then how did that even happen?

He sighed as he realised what was happening. Somebody had put Veritaserum in his drink. And he knew exactly who that person was.

Before she could say anything, he looked back at her. "My turn. Whom do you like, Granger? And, by like, I mean as in more than a friend."

"You. I like you, Draco." Hermione immediately said.

She gasped as she realised what had just happened. She wasn't planning on telling him that, but then how...

She sighed. Someone had put Veritaserum in her drink. Now who could that person be?

Draco stood there in shock. His jaw was touching the ground, and his eyes were wide. Before either of them could do anything, they heard a sound.

Hermione put on her glove, and took out the tray from the oven. He was about to say something when she quickly walked away from him.

---------

"So... You like me?"

Hermione didn't turn around to face him. She was currently looking at the lake that was in near the villa.

"I-I don't. And wait, what did you mean when you said 'quite the opposite'?" She asked him.

He simply stood behind her. "I meant what I said. You were the first in class, as you reminded me everyday. Figure it out."

She finally turned around to face him. "I would think that you were under the Veritaserum for admitting that."

"I was. And I know you were too, judging by your expression when you said that you liked me." He told her.

"I-I don't." She looked at her feet.

"Tsk, tsk, Hermione." He placed his finger under her chin, and made her look at him. "It was the truth potion, it doesn't make you lie."

"Will you stop teasing me about that?" She glared at him.

Draco chuckled. "I am not teasing you, love. I am simply making you admit that you like me."

"I already admitted that." She exclaimed.

"You didn't do that on your own. Now that I know that the effects of the potion have vanished, I want you to tell me whom do you like, or maybe even love?" He looked at her.

"You, Draco. I like, or as you said, maybe even love, you. And I am not ashamed to admit that." She told him.

"You're too good for me." He whispered and rested his forehead against hers.

"And you're too stupid to think that I believe your statement even for a second. I don't care about that, Draco. I don't care what others think of you. I don't care what you think of yourself. I have seen the real you. These past few days, have been amazing, as much as I hate to admit that. So, it all comes down to this question. Do you like me?" She asked him.

"I thought I had already made that clear." He smirked at her.

"Wouldn't hurt to admit that again." She smirked back at him.

"As you wish, love. I like, or maybe even love, you, Hermione. But the real question is, will you be with me?" He asked her.

"I thought the question was supposed to be something else." She raised an eyebrow at him.

"Sweetheart, I am Draco Malfoy. I don't copy others, they copy me. And you still haven't answered my question." He again smirked at her.

She was about to answer when suddenly Blaise shouted. "Everyone! It's five seconds to midnight. Five... Four... Three... Two... And one!"

"Happy New Year!" Everyone shouted except two people.

As soon as they shouted, Hermione pulled Draco closer and kissed him. After a few moments, she pulled back and grinned at him. "I'll be with you forever."

He grinned back at her. "Happy New Year, love."

"Happy New Year." She whispered to her boyfriend, and he kissed her again.

"They do know that we are watching them, right?" Theo asked everyone else as they watched those two.

"Hey! Don't speak too loudly. I need to take these pictures and send them to someone." Narcissa scolded him as she continued to take their pictures.

"Should we go and throw apples at Draco? I think he will hex me for that, not that I am scared of him, of course." Blaise said.

"You can finally start planning their wedding, Cissa. You have been waiting since forever." Lucius told his wife.

"I will book an appointment at the bridal shop." Pansy smiled.

"Did we come on this trip to discuss all of this?" Theo asked.

"Shh! The trip was planned specially for those two." Narcissa narrowed his eyes at him. "It was their trip towards love."

A/N: That's it for this oneshot. It was 4100+ words. Hope you guys liked it. I wrote it under three hours, so it didn't turn out to be that good. But I hope it wasn't too cheesy, or escalated quickly. Random question: Do you like the ship Drapple? Answer in the comments below. Vote, comment and please share my story. Reviews are always appreciated. Thank you!

So, I originally planned to end this book today, but guess what, there will a couple more Oneshots.

Next chapter on 6/7/20(Monday).

Until next time.
