Hermione was sitting in her small bedroom, slumped over the desk.
She couldn't help but think of that kiss with Draco... But no, Ron was right, he had been on Voldemort's side.
Then why had she stood up for him?
It was all just so confusing!

An owl flew into Hermione's open window. Hermione took the letter off of its leg.
"It's-it's from Hogwarts? What would they want from me?"
The letter said:

Dear Miss Granger,
As you may know, due to the recent war, the students at Hogwarts did not receive a thorough education. Hogwarts is offering an optional eighth year for our recent graduates. We are offering you the chance to come back. You may study up to 4 N.E.W.T. s.
Please consider, and write back with an answer, even if it is a no, ASAP.
Your Headmistress,
Minerva McGonagall.

"I can go back to Hogwarts! Well, obviously yes!" Hermione squealed. "I better write back! But what subjects shall I take?"
In the end, she decided on Transfiguration, DADA, Potions and History Of Magic.
