Helping First Years...

Draco and Hermione began their duties. One of those duties was helping the new first years settle in. One day, the two of them were on patrol around the school, when they found a small red head sobbing in the girls toilets. Hermione walked in.

"Hello? What's your name?" Hermione whispered. She took a look around the bathrooms; no one was in here, save for her and the girl. "Draco, come on in. It's fine."

"I-I'm Rionach, Miss," the small girl replied. "Rionach Tobelle."

Draco scowled and Hermione grinned.
"No need to call me Miss, I'm a student too!"

"I... I know Mi-... Everyone knows who you are; you're..." her voice dropped lower. "You're Hermione Granger!"

Draco's scowled deepened as his old jealous side came back. Why her? He thought. It's always Miss Granger this, Hermione that.

Hermione, meanwhile, was giggling.
Draco groaned, and concentrated on the task at hand.
"What's wrong... Rionach?" He said gently, not wanting to scare the girl.

She shook her head.
"I-I can't tell you. He'll get me if I do. He will!" She broke down again.

Hermione looked at Draco, concerned and sling her arm around Rionach, brushing her bushy red hair out of the way.

"No one can get you here," Draco said. "It's safe, I promise."

"You- you promise?"

Hermione and Draco nodded in unison.

"Okay then... Can we go somewhere quieter?"

The three headed to the Slytherin boy's dorm, as Draco was the only boy in his house to head back for eighth year.
Rionach sat down on the bed.

"I- I have dreams, okay? But there's something not quite right about them. I mean, they're not as hazy as normal dreams and I can think in them. Y'know, I'm conscious and aware of what's happening. And they're detailed. Very much so."

Draco wasn't worried, the girl was just having dreams, but Hermione felt differently. Harry had described his dreams like this often, and then often they were true... Like that time with Arthur Weasley. Hermione shuddered just thinking about it.

"Anyway, what do you dream about?" Hermione asked.

"Well, it's normally the same dream, or similar. There's a man with red hair and I think he's a wizard. He is trying to find something- different things. If he finds them it won't be good. And... he- he wants to destroy them."

Draco said, "And that's-" However Rionach interrupted him, to his horror.

"But it's something to do with me, I don't know why. It is!" She emphasised despite scornful looks from Draco.

Many hours later, Hermione and Draco were in McGonagall's office discussing the young girl.
It was late night, a time decided as to not be overheard.

"And she did seem very earnest, but it was quite creepy," Draco was saying when there was a knock on the door.

It was the young girl, who had tears down her cheeks again. Her red hair was standing straight up and her pyjamas were rumpled.

The three in the office stood up in alarm. "What-" McGonagall began.

My dreams told me you'd be here," Rionach muttered grimly. "And they told me something else, too."

The three leaned over the desk to her to hear better.

"That man I mentioned... He's my father."
