Draco Malfoy was sitting in his room in Malfoy Manor, selecting an outfit to wear to his Aunt Bellatrix's funeral.
He didn't really want to go, but he was a Malfoy. He had to.
At that moment, an owl rapped on his window.
"What? That's not Chaos, my owl."
Draco noticed the wax seal on the letter, the wax seal which meant it was from Hogwarts.
Draco read it through and realised he was being offered the chance to go back to Hogwarts.
He wanted to for several reasons:
a) he would be expected to
b) his dream job in the Ministry required N.E.W.T grades and lastly
c) he knew Hermione would go back.

Draco hadn't told anyone about their kiss, but he knew he shouldn't be dating one of the 'Golden Trio', a commonly used nickname for the three heroes. That decided it then. Draco strolled downstairs, ready for the funeral and a little happier than before.
