Chapter 23: Mother is Officially Crazy

Drama Life of Ms Nerdy

Chapter 23:Mother is officially crazy

Of all the things I expected my mother to do, she started to laugh. "Savannah, are you serious?" She cried out, looking at me with disbelief and teary eyes. My mother was supposed to be calm and soothing, not laughing at me!

"Yes? What do you mean, I did absolutely nothing wrong!" I shouted, but immediately shrunk back when she gave me a warning glare of speaking to her like that. But then I stood straight up, not afraid of standing up for myself. I know I didn't do anything wrong, if that was what she was implying.

"You had no idea how those two boys felt for you huh?" She shook her head as if disappointed in her own daughter.

"No! How could I? I thought they liked me as just friends... Mom, I have been starting to get these strange feelings. My heart would pang in my chest whenever they are around, am I sick?" I asked with big eyes, even bigger with my rimmed glasses on.

She took one look at me, her expression strange before she started laughing again, "I'm dying!" Again with the fit of giggles.

I groaned, "Mom, you are not helping!" I wanted her to answer my question seriously!

"I'm sorry hun, but I think that anyone would have known what those feelings are and what those boys may have thought of you a while ago, with the way they were dropping hints. My child is so dense sometimes, so naïve." She smiled and sat up to look at me with sincerity.

"Mother, I'm not completely understanding. What is wrong with me?" I asked desperately, wanting the frantic feeling of my heart to diminish.

"It's called love. But for you, I would just say it's a crush." She shrugged and brought a blanket to go over my shoulder as I gaped at her with shock.

"Are you kidding!" I whined, but did not deny it in my head. It was true. That explained everything, all the things I thought and felt when they were around. Vincent made me feel alive, like I could do anything. Jordan made me cringe a little, in good way and made me smile all the same. He was charming and Vincent was mysterious. Both made me feel electricity and sparks in every touch that I always thought nothing of before. Now I just wanted to be in their arms.

I shook my head, thoughts of their warmth and comfort lingering. I was not used to thinking like this. Before I met them, I thought straight, my head always clear. I knew what to expect, but now I wasn't so sure. Everything is just coming at me all at once and it seems like I'm always getting surprised.

"No I'm not kidding." She grinned and than her smile got even wider if that was possible,"Grandchildren!" She screamed and squealed. I gasped, my mouth wide open as I stared at her excited state.

I enjoyed seeing my mother looking so happy. Her eyes sparkled with joy, her hair looked healthier and there weren't any bags under her eyes from long nights of working.Wait a second... There had to be more than just hearing about me finally liking someone for once. More than one person, but could it be? I wasn't sure since my guesses were always off nowadays. I'd ask later, when she got over the fact that I was not having grandchildren at this age.

"Mom calm down! I haven't even graduated high school, nevertheless even thought about having children! I'm not exactly on board with all these crazy feelings that you say make up a crush. Two crushes to be precise! I'm so bewildered. How am I supposed to choose?"

"Go with your heart." She said simply before getting up and walking to my bedroom door, "I want you to get some studying in because I have a feeling you have been slacking these past couple days young lady." She gave me a quick glare before shutting my door behind her, leaving me in my room all alone with my thoughts bouncing all over the place.

"Couple of days," I grumbled, "More like weeks."

Getting up, I decided to tidy up my room to let my stress out, "That woman was crazy. Go with my heart? How am I supposed to go with my heart if I couldn't even decipher what it was telling me about my crushes on Vincent and Jordan. I barely understood any of this! Maybe I could go stop by the library and pick up a book that dealt with this kind of situation. Romance novel main characters always found a way out of the most troubling conflicts!" I murmured to myself like the madwoman I was. After all, I got it from my bat crazy mother.

*^*

Being a nerd wasn't easy. This I told myself as I got up the next morning with a pounding headache. My eyes could barely adjust even after ten minutes straight of sitting up in my bed. I was so exhausted from last night. Turns out, my mother was completely right. I wasn't just slacking, I was way behind. Usually,I was a week ahead of everyone in my class. Now I was only in front by a few days.

My mother walked into my room with a plate full of pancakes, "I got blueberry pancakes for you. And you do realize that today is school?"

For the first time in my life, I didn't care for school. I didn't want to go to that place. The place that holds the group called the Untouchables. They're called the Untouchables for a reason. That reason being that they don't do love. They don't do relationships and don't do being friends with someone outside their little group. But guess what?

It seems that the Untouchables aren't so untouchable anymore. They broke so many rules, rules that have been broken by me apparently, so easily.

I'm that friend outside of the group, the one they got intrigued with on my first day of school. I am that person they first got in relations with and surprise surprise... Half of them are in love with me! Can You believe that. I know some of their secrets, but not all of them and I plan on figuring them out,one by one.

"Mom, I was wondering if I could stay home sick today..." I spoke lowly with my head down. If was going to achieve with this plan, I was going to need time to do so.

"Sure honey, but only after you eat this food. Money and effort sure doesn't grow from trees you know."My mom shrugs while handing me the plate. She rested a hand on my head, then my face. "I hope you'll choose the right one."

"Mom I need more time with them. I can't just choose... But can I just take a week vacation. I'll ask someone from school to bring home all the work I missed. Oh please Mom, you know the situation I'm in." I pleaded with, trying to show the pain through my eyes.

"You know, people don't skip school because of some ridiculous love triangle gone wrong. But I'll give you a week, and only a week. To be alone." She gave me a small smile, before rolling her eyes and walking out of my room. "Kids these days. So in love, so stupid. And make sure to bring that plate back downstairs when you're done!" She shouted.

"Don't worry Mom, you're the best."I whispered and swallowed up the blueberry pancakes, deciding I would finish all the work I had with me at home.

Now who would I ask to bring me home my homework? Not Samuel, I'm still mad at him. Matt will simply tell the boys how I'm doing and that I'm skipping for a week. Will was definitely out of the question. Vincent and Jordan, well... I wasn't going to talk to them until this week was over to help cool things down. Now, all that leaves is...

Oh! I laughed until I choked on one of the pieces of pancakes still going down my throat.

I pulled out my phone, getting ready to dial just the man I needed to talk to. I just hoped his tongue wasn't currently down another man's throat.

The doorbell rang a couple hours later when it was finally noon. This meant that Ryan was finally on his two hour lunch break. He told me being in a suit all day wasn't hard, but owning a company that was popular world-wide was a bit more difficult to handle.

I heard my mother downstairs laughing, probably flirting with him since he was over 18. I rolled my eyes as I jumped out of my bed for the first time all day. My legs wobbled, before steadying. Keeping one hand on the wall, I went down the stairs to meet the man.

"You look so familiar, like um..."

"Like Matt, Mother." I swatted away her hands that were reaching to touch his broad chest. I smiled at Ryan's relieved sigh and took a hold of my school books that were held in his arms.

"What's up? Looks like you're always in need of my help." He smirked, politely removing himself from my mom and closer to me.

"Not always. I just need time away from the boys that's all. It's all too much for my brain right now."

"It's normal to feel conflicted between guys." He shrugged as if it was normal thing for him, he was such a player, no way were those real feelings.

"Or girls in your case, right?" My mom grinned with a familiar look in her eyes.

"No, I believe he would prefer if you had a flat chest. Now if you would excuse us, I need Ryan right now.You can talk to him when I'm walking him out the door." With that I hurried and grabbed Ryan, going straight to the basement to get away from her. She already had her claws out, which retreated when she realized what I said.

"He... You mean, that gorgeous man is gay!?"I snickered when I heard her mumbling to herself how embarrassing she must have looked. Funny how she never realizes that she's always like that.

I ran my hands through my long hair, looking around the room. I haven't been down here since the guys played video games in here.

"This place is pretty awesome."Ryan grinned, one hand in his suit pocket.

"Thanks." I said as I eyed him up and down. It wasn't in googly eye way either. I was trying to decide whether bringing him here was a good idea and if he really knew something about guys.

Of course he did, he's a guy and likes other guys! He should know everything about a male.

"What?" He questioned, hopping onto one of the arm chairs. He put his feet up, looking like a king, just without the crown or the actual throne.

"So... I asked you to come here for so I could get some advice that I don't trust my mother to give me." I played with my fingers, unable to look up into his eyes. My hair fell into my face, which seemed to bother him.

Ryan didn't say anything, or was about to but was unable to because the basement door banged open. Down the steps came 6 legs that made me jump and hide behind the chair Ryan sat on. Okay, so it wasn't some gigantic insect. Just three people that I didn't expect or was ready to see in about a week from now.

"What was that I heard about you skipping school for some foolish reason?" Matt bellowed, stomping over to us, stopping when he realized it was his brother on the chair.

"What the hell are you doing here?"He glared, one hand on his hip and one foot tapping impatiently.

"I can go wherever the hell I want, what are you doing here?"Ryan stood up from his chair, slightly taller than all the guys by three inches. I clapped my hands for Ryan, yes! Get them out of here,I wasn't ready to speak to all of them in the same place.

"I'm here because I'm concerned for my friend. My friend, not yours." He then looked away from Ryan in the direction that I would be, "I know you are behind there Savvy."

Climbing out I met all of their eyes. "Who told you?"

"Who do you think?" Matt smirked. Damn his good looks and my mother's sweet spot for him!

"Motheer-!"I screamed, all the guys covering their ears.

"Who wants cookies?" She sang from inside of the kitchen.
