Sophia: Bye Tori!

Tori: Bye guys.

[She walked into her house]

Tori: Guess Aunt Belle isn't home yet...

[She walked upstairs]

Tori: Hey Ranger.

[Tori's ferret looked up at her]

Tori: Yeah, it's been a long day.

[Tori grabbed her scissors and walked to the bathroom, Ranger following after]

Tori: ..I've been waiting to do this for a while.

[the ferret squeaked]

Tori: I have an impulse to do this. You can't talk me out of it, Rang.

[She unbraided her hair and cut it to a mid length, just hovering above shoulder length.]

Tori: Hm.

[She smiled]

Tori: What do you think, Ranger?

[Ranger squeaked with approval]

Tori: Yeah.

[She stared at the mirror and frowned]

Tori: It's not enough, is it? I've been feeling off for a couple of weeks now. I've tried so many things and thought this would help...

[Tori sighed and walked to her room]

[She sat on her bed, Ranger curled up next to her, and watched videos on her phone]

Tori: Hm..

[The next day, She walked to school with Ace and Sophia]

Ace: Hey. I like the new hair.

Tori: Thanks.

Sophia: Yeah, it suits you.

[Tori headed off to her classes]

[Eventually, she reached her last class, Art]

[Tori sat down and started on her painting]

Vivian: [Sits down in the chair next to her] Hey Tori.

Tori: Hi Viv.

Vivian: Whatcha working on?

Tori: It was a painting of my ferret in a kind of Picasso style.

Vivian: Nice.

[Vivian and her other friend, Karl, were talking about other things while Tori focused]

Karl: Woah.. Your friend is really good at art.

Vivian: Yeah, Tori's pretty cool.

Tori: I-it's nothing but thanks anyway.

Vivian: Tori is just really modest.

Karl: Yeah, I can tell. They should really embrace their talent.

Tori: ...

[Tori hadn't known what went through her mind at the moment, but all she knew was that she liked being called 'they' for some reason. She couldn't place the feeling.]

Karl: Tori, you okay?

Vivian: Yeah? You spaced out.

Tori: Yeah yeah, it's fine... just.. I liked being called 'they'. I dunno. It's probably weird. I'm sorry-

Karl: It's not weird at all. If you prefer They them, we can totally use that for you.

Tori: ...I-I'd appreciate it, thank you.

Vivian: Mhm and congrats!

Tori: ..OH CRAP THE DRAMA CLUB MEETING-

Tori: I HAVE TO GO BYE YALL-
