When everyone woke up they were ushered to a safe part of the island since everyone wanted to bombard them with questions. Kari was playing with Celes and Chopper outside while everyone else discussed two issues; how they would get a ship and if Usopp should be allowed to join again. Soon Kari spotted Franky as well as the square sisters and waved happily.

"Franky! Kiwi! Mozu! Hi ya!" She greeted happily. Franky smirked then gave the girl a high five then the square sisters a hug and showed the three in while holding Chopper and Celes in her arms. "Guys, Franky and the square sisters wanna talk with us." She said then sat down next to Luffy while Franky spoke.

The cyborg got on his knees with the Square sisters. He said he had bought some special wood called "Adam's wood" with the two million beri's he stole from them and was going to use it to build a ship. He wanted to give the ship he made to the Straw hats. The crew gasped in awe.

"You're just gonna give us a ship?!" Nami asked in amazement.

Franky nodded. "Yeah. I know it'll be in good hands with you guys. It'll take a few days but I'll make the best ship I can for you guys." Luffy chuckled.

"Alright!" He called happily. Kari widened her smile while Chopper clapped his hooves. Now the problem of finding a ship was solved and now was the task of figuring out what to do about Usopp. The crew decided to take a break from discussing this situation and began to relax for a moment. Not long later some members of the Franky family rushed to where the Straw hats were staying with Zambai in the front. Once they saw the crew they skid to a stop.

"Straw hats," Zambai began, a little winded. "There's something you need to see." He said then took out a bunch of papers and sprawled them out on the ground. Everyone had a bounty.

"Straw Hat" Luffy: 300 million beris. Dead or Alive.

"Pirate Hunter" Zoro: 120 million beris. Dead or Alive.

"Black Leg" Sanji: 77 million beris. Dead or Alive.

"Sniper King": 30 million beris. Dead or Alive.

"Cat Burglar" Nami: 16 million beris. Dead or Alive.

"Cotton Candy Lover" Chopper: 50 beris. Dead or Alive.

"Devil Child" Robin: 80 million beris. Dead or Alive.

"Silver Diamond Dragon" Chase: 15 million beris. Dead or Alive.

"Copycat" Kari: 115 million beris. Alive.

Sanji stared at the poor hand drawn image on his poster. Kari looked at the image on hers. It showed her smiling shyly with the symbol on her forehead showing as clear as day. Kari was not much of a camera person. Chopper was upset with his bounty and was mad that Chase's bounty was higher. Kari looked at her bounty.

"Hey, pretty good for your first bounty Kari." Luffy praised. Kari giggled happily. "I wonder why it's so high though. Hey, look!" Luffy looked at the poster and noticed it said "Alive" rather than "Dead or Alive" like the others. Luffy blinked in confusion.

"... I wonder why it says that on mine while everyone else's says "Dead or Alive." Even Chase's says that." Kari hummed. Zambai then took out another wanted poster. It had Franky on it.

"Cyborg" Franky: 44 million beris. Dead or Alive.

The Straw hats stared at the poster. "So, Franky was grouped with us." Robin said, crossing her arms and shifting her weight onto her right hip. The Franky family pleaded for the pirate crew to take Franky with them. The crew agreed. They needed a shipwright anyways and Franky was perfect.

After a while the group went back to relaxing when some marines barged in. The admiral rush in and punched Luffy, going so fast that not even Kari could stop him. Luffy screamed in pain and held his head.

It turned out that the old man was Luffy's grandfather. He was, thankful, just here for a visit and because four of his best men wanted to say "hi." One had pink messy hair and a "x" shaped scar above his right eye, another was a blond and wearing weird sunglasses, the third was a woman with black and brown hair, and lastly was the silver haired boy Kitearo. Kitearo glared at the pirates with pure rage. After a duel between the blond and Zoro and the pink haired boy and Luffy everyone introduced themselves.

"Long time no see Luffy, Zoro." The pink haired boy smiled. The two just stared. "It's me, Coby." He chuckled nervously.

"Huh?" Luffy tilted his head.

"Hey! Don't forget about me! It's me, Helmeppo!"

"You don't know me and frankly I wish we hadn't met. I'm Kitearo."

"Don't mind him. He's just in a bad mood. It's kinda nice to finally meet you. My name's Min." Three of the four smiled. Everyone just watched Kitearo as he stared at Kari.

"... Uh, could you not stare? I don't even know you. Weirdo." Kari said, her words piercing him. Kitearo jolted at the sharp words, feeling an emotional pain sting his heart.

"... How could.." He whispered to himself. "But... She looks just like..."

"Hey, Kari." Robin called. "Let's go shopping for supplies." Kari nodded and went off with Robin happily. Kitearo gulped and watched Kari leave.

As the days passed, the Straw hat crew waited for their ship wondering what it would be like. Soon the square sisters rushed in and said that Franky finished the ship early. The crew ran towards Scrap island to see Iceberg and the Galley La company passed out. Iceberg woke up and showed the crew their ship. Everyone gasped and immediately began looking around the ship.

"IT'S SO COOL!!" Kari squealed.

"A FRIDGE WITH A LOCK!! YES!!" Sanji called happily.

"A chewing post for me and Kari!" Chase gasped in awe. "AND IT'S MADE WITH BONE MARROW!!" He squealed. "Kari! Kari come look!!" He called. Soon the crew began to look for Franky around Water 7.

"Franky!" Kari called from the sky, she was on Chase's back. Soon a ruckus was heard and Chase gasped. The Franky family had stolen Franky's swim trunks. Kari shielded her eyes while Chase swooped down and took the swim trunks then began to fly back to the ship, Franky yelling from behind.

Eventually Franky joined the crew and they were off once again. Kokoro told the crew about Fish-man island and that they should go there. One thing they had to do was cross Florian Triangle. According to Kokoro, many pirate and commercial ships mysteriously go missing every year and, sometimes, a ship will be found sailing without any people aboard. This knowledge freaked out Chopper and Nami but this only made Luffy excited. The crew raised anchor and began to leave, not being fazed about leaving Usopp on Water 7. Kari frowned as she stood next to Luffy as he watched the seas. Then a blast was heard in the distance. Kari yelped at the loud bang and held onto Luffy's side like a scared cat, her hair standing on end. Luffy just looked down at Kari then began to protect the ship, called the Thousand Sunny. Zoro, Chase, Sanji and Franky helped out as well and eventually so did Kari.

While the crew began protecting the Thousand Sunny a voice called out. "HEY!! WAIT FOR ME!" It was Usopp. "HEY!! C-COME ON GUYS! HEY, UH, CHOPPER WANNA GO FISHING? Oh this isn't the time..." Usopp sighed. Chopper tried to get the others to talk with him but they claimed to hear nothing. "FINE! IF YOU'RE REALLY GONNA LEAVE ME THEN JUST LET ME SAY THIS!" Usopp inhaled and felt tears stream down his cheeks. "I'M SORRY!! I WAS SO DEAD SET ON KEEPING MERRY THAT I LET MY EMOTIONS GET OUT OF HAND!! I'M SORRY!!" Kari gulped and Luffy took a breath while Zoro and Sanji smirked. Luffy extended his hand to get Usopp, who gladly accepted it and was pulled on board.

"You know, I could've flown and gotten him." Chase informed.

"Shut up! He's back and that's all that matters!" Kari sniffled while hugging Usopp. Luffy was hugging the sniper while both were sobbing. Usopp had returned.

As the crew went onwards towards the New World they came across a mist filled part of the sea. Kari shivered and hugged Celes close, causing the lamp dial to flicker on.

"... I'm getting a bad feeling..." Nami said.

"I hope we don't get a curse from some kind of ghost." Robin stated with an unamused tone.

"DON'T JINX IT!" Usopp, Nami, and Chopper called in unison, not wanting to get cursed. Kari shivered.

"Man it's so dark..." Kari said in a shaky tone. The crew then heard something.

"Yo ho ho ho~ Yo ho ho." Everyone jolted except for Sanji, Zoro, Luffy, Robin, and Chase. Kari clamped onto Robin's side like she did with Luffy and whined.

"WHAT WAS THAT?! IT'S TOO DARK TO TELL!" Kari called. Soon an old ship came into view and everyone saw a skeleton drinking a cup of tea. Kari got off of Robin and stared in awe. "Whoa..."

"You calm now?" Robin chuckled. Kari just nodded. Luffy, Sanji, and Nami boarded the ship and after a while they came back to the Sunny with the skeleton. Chopper and Usopp were freaking out while everyone else were keeping as calm as possible. The skeleton was dressed in mainly black formal attire complete with top hat and cane. The cravat that was tied in between his coat and around his neck was blue and the inner linings of his black coat were yellow-orange. Even though he was a skeleton he had a black afro and on his forehead was a scar that slightly resembled a diagonal omega sign .

"How do you have hair?" Kari asked curiously. The skeleton, named Brook, smiled.

"I have very strong roots, yo ho ho!" He said and Kari nodded. Brook looked to Chase and gasped in amazement. "I never thought I'd see another dragon!" He said happily. "Oh wow, it's been sometime since I've seen one!"

"WHAAAATT?!!" The crew called out in unison.

"Oh, yeah. Some dragons fly through here searching for food. I've had the honor of meeting some of them. They told me stories in turn for some wood to chew on. They said that chewing on stuff sharpened their fangs." Chase nodded.

"We must keep out fangs as sharp as possible." Kari said with a huff and crossing her arms. Brook blinked.

"Hmm?"

"Oh, I was raised by dragons." The girl said nonchalantly.

"WHAAAT?!!" He called out loudly. Kari nodded.

"Yep. Geez, are dragon-raised beings really that rare." Everyone nodded in response. "Oh." Kari sighed. Chase looked to Brook and blinked.

"So... What did the dragons you met tell you?" He asked.

"Well, one said that she had fled from an island called "Dara Dara" because of food shortage. Another one stated that he was on a long journey to find a friend that he got separated from during the great food migration. Oh! This one was very interesting. One told me a story of the great war. I think it went--"

"ENOUGH!" Chase hissed then slammed his tail to the ground like a large whip, making a loud thud and causing the whole ship to tremble for a moment. "I CAN'T BELIEVE A DRAGON WOULD SPILL SUCH INFORMATION!!" Everyone backed away from Chase except for Kari who understood what her brother was doing. She just kept quiet and did her best not to worsen the situation. "HE MUST HAVE TRUSTED YOU TO KEEP YOUR LIP ZIPPED!" Brook nodded. "... That topic must never be mentioned by human mouths unless told that they can speak of it."

"What's the big deal? I mean, yeah it's a big war but it's nothing to keep quiet about." Franky said. "You even asked what he knew."

"... That war... From what I was told, was a war to be forgotten by humans. That forgotten war was what kept us safe for many reasons. Because of it we dragons were swept into the shadows as myths like the phoenix and the pegasus, both of which I have seen as well as other so-called myths. Only dragons know of it and there are many reasons behind it. Let's just keep it at this, that war... Nearly destroyed the whole world." Everyone fell silent and Chase growled. "Never mention that war to anyone! Even a dragon. You were fortunate enough it was me you muttered that war to but another dragon would've killed you on the spot." Chase warned and Brook nodded. Kari frowned then sighed.

The crew ate lunch and began talking with Brook, well mostly Luffy and Kari talked with him and the blow up that Chase had was never mentioned. After sometime of enjoyment there was a loud clang as if a gate had closed nearby.

Brook jolted then looked outside. His gasped in shock. They had arrived in Thriller Bark.

Time passed and the crew was on the island. Nami, Chopper, Usopp, Kari, and Celes were in a group, they had taken the mini merry to look around but crashed, while Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Franky, and Chase were in another group while Brook was who knows where. Kari held Chopper and Celes close while trailing behind Nami.

"... I've got a bad feeling up my spine, Nami." Kari gulped and Nami nodded.

"Me too. Let's head towards that castle." Nami pointed towards a big building and everyone walked in that direction.

"... Hmmm, new shadows. Master Moria will be pleased. Eh heh heh heh heh!"
