As night turned to day, the Straw hat pirates woke up slowly but loudly. Kari was the last to wake up. The Straw hats devised a plan to steal most of the treasure and flee Skypiea. Robin looked around at what she believed to be a "poneglyph." She was right and looked at the stone, reading the ancient writing on it.

In the main part of the ruins Zoro and Kari were bickering.

"STOP YELLING AT ME, LAZY SWORDSMAN!!" Kari screamed.

"SHUT UP! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO WAS SO SCARED WHEN SHE WAS ALONE!" Zoro growled.

Kari hissed. "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT MOSS HEAD!" Kari lunged at Zoro with a growl. "METAL SCALES!!" She called then punched Zoro in his chest, sending him flying.

"How did this fight even start?" Usopp thought while hiding in the distance, Chase next to him. Zoro stood with a growl then rushed at Kari, unsheathing one of his swords.

"One sword style. thirty-six pound phoenix!" Kari was sent flying through a few walls. Usopp screamed in shock.

Chase sighed. "I was wondering when it'd happen." He murmured. Usopp looked at the dragon in confusion. "Kari looks at Zoro as lazy and weak and I'm guessing he thought she was weak when she joined. Kari detected it and held back the urge to fight him because she didn't want to kill him, but he was stronger than she thought. Tension built between the two until they finally exploded. Now is the time for them to earn each other's respect." Usopp gulped. Zoro unsheathed his other swords.

"THREE SWORD STYLE! ONI GIRI!"

"ZAP STEP!" Kari dodged. "DRAGON TECHNIQUE! FIRE SCALES! FLAME BODY!" Kari's skin began to change into flaming red colored scales with golden zig zag lines that glowed and dimmed with each inhale and exhale Kari took while a small flame and some smoke escaped her lips and nostrils with each exhale. Steam began to form around the girl as her body temperature rose quickly. Kari lunged at Zoro and slashed at him with her flame enveloped nails, Zoro blocked only to notice that Kari was about to melt his swords, so he shoved her back and jumped out of the way. Both began panting.

"... You're... S-stronger... Than-than I thought..." Kari gulped, trying to catch her breath. Zoro nodded.

"... Y-yeah... You too... " He replied, catching his breath and getting ready for another attack. Kari reverted to her usual form and braced herself. Zoro rushed at the girl quickly. "Three sword style---" Kari began to charge a kick. "Oni Giri!"

"Iron defense!" Kari blocked the attack with her arms then leaned her weight onto her right leg then side kicked Zoro with her left leg lightly, placing her foot by his hip. She smirked.

"Impact!" She called, but her foot slid at the last minute so Zoro was not hurt. Both backed away a few steps and sighed, catching their breaths. The two chuckled and shook hands, Zoro then brought Kari into a noogie while the girl laughed tiredly while reverting back to her usual apperance. Chase smirked.

"Looks like they've gained some respect for eachother." Chase chuckled. Usopp nearly fainted from seeing the overwhelming power Zoro and Kari held. "If that scares you just know, they weren't even at full strength."

"WHAAAT?!! How?! I mean I know why Zoro isn't at full strength but what about Kari?" Usopp gasped.

"Kari isn't a morning person." Chase informed and Usopp stared at the dragon. They both just sighed and went to help haul some gold onto the Merry Go.

After a while some Skypieans gave Kari a few dials, even rare ones like jet dials, as well as trading them to Usopp for rubber bands. Not long later the Straw hats were on the Merry Go, floating safely back to the Blue sea with the help of Conis and a balloon octopus. Once they were back in the Blue sea everyone started on their journey once again. They heard of an island that was mainly shipwrights called Water 7 so they went in that direction since they needed someone who could fix up the Merry Go. The straw hats decided to stop by an island to stock up on supplies only to be trapped into a davy back fight. Thankfully they did not lose anyone permanently and set off towards Water 7.

"Hey, Zoro." Kari said while poking the swordsman's cheek.

"Hmm?" He asked lazily.

"Next time you train, mind if I join you?" She asked kindly. Zoro opened one of his eyes, glanced at her then closed it again.

"Sure. Whatever." He shrugged. Kari smiled happily then laid next to him to nap. After a while she got the urge to chew on something so she turned around and began chewing on the side of the ship. This woke up Zoro. "KARI WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!"

"Chewin on sha boash..." Kari replied, her mouth still nomming on the wood.

"WELL STOP! MERRY IS DAMAGED ENOUGH!" Zoro growled then punched Kari's head. Kari stopped chewing on the boat and held her head with both of her hands.

"OW! BUT CHASE CHEWS ON THE MAST ALL THE TIME!!" Zoro went wide eyed then looked at the mast. "Towards the top. He also uses it like a scratching post when his back is itchy." Zoro hit his face with his palm and groaned. At the same time Sanji was teaching Chase how to cook, starting with the basics. Chopper was reading some medical books and Usopp was upgrading Nami's Climate-Baton and other things that he thought could be useful while Luffy was watching the scenery from atop Merry's head, also known as the captain's seat.

A few days later, after lunch Kari went to the training area with Zoro and the two began to spar with each other. Kari thought that this would be a good time to try using a "new move" that joined her arsenal.

"Gum-Gum... PISTOL!" Kari called then stretched like Luffy would, using his move. Zoro gasped in shock after dodging the stretching arm. Kari pulled her arm back into place then looked at Zoro. "What's with the face?"

"Only Luffy can stretch like that!! How can you do it?!" Zoro demanded.

"I copied it. I also copied a bunch of other stuff, like Robin's abilities." Kari smiled innocently. "Come on, let's get back to training." Zoro gulped then nodded slowly, getting over how shocked he was.

"Well, okay then. What else have you copied?"

"I copied the powers from that Eneru guy. Only his devil fruit powers though." Kari smiled innocently. Zoro gulped. "Don't worry, I won't use anything that'll kill you and I won't use the mantra yet." Zoro grumbled then sighed.

"Whatever, let's just get back to sparring." He huffed.

"That's what I said." Kari grumbled. The two then went back to sparring. Not long later they heard Usopp call out.

"ISLAND!!" He bellowed. Kari and Zoro bowed to each other then went on deck. Kari whooped happily then the crew dropped anchor by gate one because a someone who was fishing said it would be in their best interest. Kari was about to get off the ship happily with Chase in her bag and Zoro to her left when Usopp stopped her. "Hold on a sec Kari." He smiled then pulled out a plush teddy bear.

The bear was fuzzy with a black button nose and navy blue fur with gold and silver stars and moons on it. It had dark gray paw pads and pure gold eyes. Kari blinked at it and Usopp chuckled.

"I made it for you. I used some of the dials we got to make it so you can have a friend when you're alone. Right now it has a lamp dial in it." Usopp smiled. "I made it so it can stay in one piece regardless of what dial you use." Kari smiled widely then hugged Usopp then the bear.

"Thank you Usopp. This is so thoughtful!" She giggled happily. "Hmmm... What should I call you..." Kari hummed in thought. Then a name to mind. "Celes!"

"Celes?" Usopp, Chase, and Zoro asked in unison.

"Yeah, the first part of Celestial." Kari giggled happily.

Moments passed and Kari, Chase, Zoro, and Celis were walking around on part of the land of the island, looking around at the different shops to see what they offered. They soon joined up with everyone else except Usopp, who was walking around somewhere else, Chopper, Sanji, and Robin who were shopping. Zoro was told to go back and guard the ship by Nami so he went back, Chase went with him so he would not get lost. Kari stuck with Nami, who had begun to get along with the youngest member of the group.

Soon they met with the best shipwright companies on the island known as Galley La company. One of them, known as Kaku, decided to head out to look at the ship.

"You sure we can't go with?" Kari asked. Kaku nodded.

"Yup. I'll be about ten minutes. Wait here for me." With that said the square nosed man jumped over the side of the higher part of the island and jumped quickly towards the Merry Go, jumping from rooftop to rooftop. Kari and Luffy gasped in amazement.

"Whoa!" Kari smiled widely.

"So cool!" Luffy chuckled. Nami sighed.

The day went on and the Straw hats got the terrible news. Luffy had to make a tough choice. He decided to get a new boat, which pussed off Usopp. The two got into a fight later that day and Usopp left the Straw hats and was given the Merry Go. That night everyone was supposed to find their own place to sleep. Kari and Chase slept in a hidden part of the island where no one would find them since they did not want to be seen. Little did they know, the place they found belonged to someone already.

The door that led to where Kari and Chase were opened. A man with blue hair, an oddly shaped chin, a metal nose, large forearms with a blue star on each and thin biceps, and his eyes had eyelashes only on the bottom lid. He wore a pair of swim briefs and an open loud Hawaiian "Aloha" shirt with a large golden chain necklace around his neck. The man quickly noticed Kari and Chade and stared in shock, preparing for a fight. The two did not move.

"... Huh?" He muttered then walked over to them. "Oh... They're just asleep..." He hummed in thought. He poked Chase's cheek, causing the dragon to groan tiredly. "What kind of animal is that?" He whispered to himself. He decided to let the two be and stayed nearby to watch them incase they tried anything.

The next day when Kari and Chase woke up they looked around tiredly then noticed the weird blue haired man. Chase was the first to stand. He quickly began to growl at the man, baring his fangs.

"Whoa there. I don't mean any harm."

"Aura sense." Chase mumbled. "... He's so disproportionate! His forearms are too big! AAHHH!!" Chase thought while Kari just lazily laid on Chase's back laying on her stomach. Chase relaxed a little bit then huffed. The man gulped in shock that the animal could talk.

"So, uh, did you sleep well?" He asked and Chase nodded. "What're you two doing here?" He asked.

"It's a long story, but I'll shorten it. We just needed a place to sleep for the night." Chase huffed. "Well, sorry to intrude. Thank you for letting us sleep here mister... Uh..."

"Call me Franky. And you are?"

"I'm Chase and this is my little sister, Kari Himura." Chase smiled then began to walk off.

"Wait. Uh, what are you? And she's your sister? How?"

"I'm a dragon and she's my sister because she was taken in and raised by my parents when she was two. We really need to be on our way. See you around, Franky." With that said Chase spread his wings and took flight. Franky stared then sighed and began working on some things. Chase and Kari began to walk around the town, looking at things to pass the time.

After a while the two began to fly again then met up with Chopper and Sanji. Chopper was sobbing and Sanji was walking off. Kari and Chase landed and rushed up.

"What happened Chop-Chop?" Kari asked, hugging the deer.

Chopper sniffled. "R-Robin is l-l-leaving the crew." He hiccupped. Kari widened her eyes then looked towards Sanji, but he was already gone.

"... Let's find the others. Okay?" Kari gulped down the urge to cry, but she still felt tears well up in the corners of her eyes. She had grown close to everyone and she put aside her hate of humans because of them. She began to like humans because of each one of them. Kari did her best to calm down. Chopper nodded then shrank to his half beast form and got on Chase's back with Kari.

As they flew the clouds began to get dark and people were fleeing to higher ground. Chase shivered.

"Guys, I'll be landing soon. If the weather keeps getting worse like this, I won't be able to see." Chase informed.

"Alright." Kari nodded then continued looking for the rest of the Straw hats. She soon spotted Nami rushing towards a building that was screaming. Kari then saw a chimney with legs. "Chase, go to that chimney!" Kari said and Chase landed next to the chimney with legs. Chopper and Kari began to pull on the legs upward to help the person who was stuck.

"Pull up, Chopper!"

"I am!"

"Kari? "Chopper? That you?" It was Zoro's voice.

"Yeah, it's us." Chopper smiled.

"How the hell did you manage this?!" Kari grumbled. The four soon heard a rushing sound. Kari turned to see a large wave heading towards them. Kari and Chopper screamed.

"GIANT WAVE!!!" The two screamed. Zoro grumbled and Chase sighed. The dragon grabbed Zoro's legs with his forepaws and began flapping his wings rapidly while Kari and Chopper kept pulling. Eventually Zoro was freed and the four fled to higher land where they met up with Luffy and Nami. Kari stared at the place where they just fled. It was covered in water. The girl shivered then Nami explained about Aqua Laguna. Kari felt sick at thought of Water 7 being covered in water.

"... The irony..." Kari chuckled nervously in attempt to wash away the sick feeling. Nami chuckled and nodded.

"Come on, we need to go save Robin!" Luffy called and everyone nodded in unison with either a smirk or smile. Soon they all boarded the prototype sea train called "Rocket man" which was driven by Kokoro who the Straw hats met at the station. Upon seeing Kokoro again Chase cringed.

"... So... Disproportionate..." He thought with a shiver. "Her head and body don't match... How is that even possible?!"

"Settle down Chase, we'll get Robin back!" Luffy chuckled and Kari nodded.

"That's--- Nevermind..." The dragon sighed. The crew as well as the Franky family were heading to Enies Lobby to save Robin and Franky.
