After running away from the entrance fee at the entrance gate, nearing the land of the sky thanks to a giant lobster known as the lobster express, the Straw hat crew relaxed for a bit because of the unexpected jolt in speed. Unknowingly to the crew the old woman at the front gate had called upon the god of the realm they were in and said that the Straw hats were criminals and to pass judgment on them. While the old woman at the gate was taking images, Kari and Chase were inside doing their own thing so they were not accounted for. Soon the crew came into contact with land, well what could be considered land at least. Luffy was the first off the ship with Usopp, and Chopper close behind. Kari stayed on the ship and watched.

"Aren't you going to join them?" Robin asked while approaching the girl. Kari looked up at Robin and shrugged.

"Well, I'll have to at some point. Can't stay on the ship forever. That and... I'm kinda curious about how the clouds feel. Are they as poofy as the ones by the waterfall?" Kari hummed happily. "Those were fun to bounce on." Robin chuckled then used her devil fruit powers to pick Kari up gently put her next to the ship. The girl blinked then looked up at Robin, who shooed her towards the land. Kari smiled widely then rushed to join the others. "WAIT FOR ME GUYS!" She called. Chase just stared.

"I've never seen her like this towards other humans..." He said in a low tone.

"Why's that?" Nami asked while walking up to the dragon. Chase sighed.

"Because back in Mock town she would get picked on by others for calling herself a dragon. After a while she... Well, I shouldn't explain her  story, but that's the gist of it. She's never been so... So trusting." Chase gave a small smile. "I think this is good for her." He then looked to Nami and then flew to Kari. "Size-size! Proportionate! Shrink!" Chase called, shrinking to the size of a Fennec Fox and landed on Kari's right shoulder. Zoro and Sanji went wide eyed, Chopper and Nami gasped and Robin just chuckled while Usopp and Luffy just shrugged it off.

"Oh, yeah, Chase ate the "Size-Size" fruit a while ago so he can grow and shrink whenever." Kari informed. After a while of messing around and enjoying the new surroundings the sound of a harp caught everyone's attention. Kari poked her head up from out of a cloud pile, Chase perked his head from a chair that was made of a spongier cloud in unison with Nami, Chase then rushed to Kari and hopped into her silver knapsack which Robin got off of the ship when she joined everyone. Chase did not want to be seen much because he was not used to the attention. Chopper sat up from rolling around on the cloud ground, Luffy stopped trying to break a steel hard fruit, while Usopp looked up from building his castle, Zoro slowly woke up and looked towards the noise while Sanji just looked in the same direction. They soon spotted a person with a pair of small white wings off in the distance. The person had blond hair in two braided pigtails and two antennas sticking out at the top of her head made out of her hair. She wore a pink dress with black, flower shaped textures that went to her thighs. She also had on red and pink striped sandals, that were white on the bottom. Everyone stared as she approached them.

"Who's that?" Kari asked while getting out of the cloud pile she was in, looking at Zoro in a disrespectful manner when he was not looking. "... Lazy swordsman... I bet he's not that strong..." She thought with a small huff. Luffy shrugged while stepping out of the tree he was in. Everyone grouped together.

"Hesso." The winged girl said. Sanji stared in awe.

"An angel..." He thought with an open mouth and his eye the shape of a heart.

Luffy just stared in confusion. "Hesso?" He asked.

"It kinda sounds like "hello" to me." Kari blinked, staying close to Robin. Nami and Robin nodded in agreement to the younger girl.

"It kinda does." Chopper hummed. The girl smiled happily.

"You people look new here, you must be from the Blue sea." She said. "I'm Conis, nice to meet you. Oh, you must want to drink that." Conis said, gesturing to the square, blue-green colored fruit that Luffy held. "A conache is hard on the top but the bottom is soft so you can cut it there." She said then took out a knife and cut a hole in the bottom of the conache, put a straw in it then gave it back to Luffy. The captain drank a little bit of the juice and went wide eyed.

"IT'S SO GOOD!" He called. Usopp got curious and gulped.

"Lemme try!" He called. Kari nodded.

"Me too! I wanna try it too!" The young girl said. Luffy let them try and they gasped then got their own to drink.

The crew talked with Conis for a while, learning more about this sky island.Chopper soon noticed something off in the distance. It was a person on a weird machine. It was a man that was almost bald but had the same hair antennae sticking out that Conis had. He had a strange round beard covering his mouth, and his eyes were closed. His hair antennas and beard were dark brown, along with his eyebrows. He wore a brown yellow robe with a light yellow collar, and light yellow at the end of where the sleeves should have been, it also had a black leaf like design.

"Hesso father." Conis smiled happily. The man nodded happily.

"Hesso Conis."

"Speak normally..." Kari thought while Luffy said her thoughts under his breath. The man, who was named Pagaya, explained about the machine he was riding on which was called a waver. Conis followed up the explanation by saying that she had just learned how to control one after four years. Luffy was the first to try out riding the waver, but he fell off immediately. Next was Kari. She was pretty good but fell off after a while, then Nami tried and she rode it as if she had already ridden a waver before. Pagaya invited everyone to lunch while Nami decided to ride on the waver for a while longer. Luffy was jealous of Nami's abilities to ride the waver and wanted her to fall off, but she did not.

While Pagaya and Sanji began to cook lunch Conis began to explain about the shells that the sky people used to survive, called dials. Conis gave Luffy a dial and smiled.

"It looks just like a shell." Luffy huffed, unamused. Kari walked up and listened as well as Usopp, interested in the shells.

Conis smiled. "Try speaking into opening"

"Uh... Kari's small and Usopp stinks!" Luffy chuckled.

"I'LL KILL HIM!!" Kari growled, holding Luffy's neck tightly with both of her hands, shaking him back and forth.

"WHY DO YOU ALWAYS PICK ON ME?!" Usopp whined. Conis then pointed to the shell, snapping everyone out of their temper tantrums.

"Now press the apex of the shell." She stated.

"Apex?"

"It means the top or highest point. It's right here." Usopp sighed then pressed the top of the shell.

"Uh... Kari's small and Usopp stinks!"

"I'LL KILL HIM!!"

"WHY DO YOU ALWAYS PICK ON ME?!"

"WHOA! THE SHELL IS MAKING FUN OF USOPP AND KARI!" Luffy gasped. Kari growled in anger and Conis explained.

"It's a tone dial. It stores sound and replays those sounds later on." Conis chuckled. Kari blinked then smiled at the thought of what she could do with one of these tone dials. Luffy did the same. Conis went on to explain about other dials like lamp dials, flavor dials, heat dials, and more. Kari got interested in the breath dials and jet dials, though Conis said that the jet dials were extinct so the jet dials would have to be either sold or stolen or passed down from parent to child. Soon everyone went outside to look for Nami because she had not returned yet and Conis and Pagaya were worried that she had gone off to the sacred lands where god supposedly lived.

"If she is on the sacred grounds, what'll happen to Nami?" Kari asked Conis not too long after the search. Conis sighed.

"She will be killed." The older woman replied in a low tone. Everyone gulped and rushed towards the ship. As they started to board the Merry Go, Usopp saw something in the distance. He squinted to try and get a better look of whatever was heading their way.

"What's that over there?" Usopp mumbled just loud enough for everyone to hear. Kari turned in unison with Luffy, holding her bag close with the top loose enough for Chase to see. They saw people with wings crawling on the ground wearing uniforms with cloud patterned pants, simple brown belts and a purple shirts as well as a white beret that covered their right eyes. On their feet were black boots. Once they were not too far away they stood up and saluted.

"Hesso!" The man in the front greeted. He was a tall, tan man with black hair that showed a bit below his beret. He has a small scar under his left eye, which goes diagonally downwards from his eye to his cheek. He also wears a light-blue coat dropped over his shoulders, probably because he was higher status, and he has a pair of small white wings on his back like everyone else in the sky apparently.

"Hesso." Conis and her father bowed upon greeting the people.

"Speak normally, I can't understand you!" Luffy grumbled.

"... What a strange way of speaking..." Kari thought with a hum. The man then took a few steps forward and confronted the Straw hats that were present. Kari gulped and stayed close to Luffy, not sure how to handle the situation.

"We are known as the White Berets, we are the police force of Skypiea. I am McKinley, Captain of the White Berets. We received a report from lady Amazon at the front gate that you entered here illegally." Everyone stared in confusion. "The penalty for this class eleven crime is paying ten times the entrance fee." Zoro growled.

"Listen, that old lady didn't say anything about this. She said we could enter without paying so we did." The swordsman grumbled. Kari tilted her head in confusion. Mckinley looked at Kari out of confusion.

"Wait, who's that? She wasn't on our reports." Kari went wide eyed.

"Uh..." Kari gulped and tried to think something up. That was when Chase took action. He jumped out of Kari's bag and grew to normal size.

"She's my sister." He bellowed, glaring at the White Berets. Everyone except the Straw hats bowed before the dragon and the dragon-raised-girl. The White Berets began apologizing for treating Kari in such a manner and begged for forgiveness. Chase shrugged. "Stand up. Just don't do it again and it'll all be good." The White Berets stood and nodded in unison.

"Yes sir!" The White Berets bellowed, slightly out of fear. Chase sighed and looked to Kari with a smile. Kari chuckled childishly. Luffy crossed his arms in annoyance.

After a long argument that began to get violent, Nami rode in on the waver. The crew explained what had happened and she got so mad that she ran her waver into McKinley, giving her and the crew except for Kari and Chase a class two crime. McKinley was knocked out.

"You are now class five criminals." one of the other White Berets said. After a while and McKinley was okay. The White Berets attacked the stray hats only to have them attack back. McKinley smirked then up and dusted himself off from being knocked down from Luffy's attack. The Straw hats were now class two criminals. Conis gulped but stayed where she was, not sure what to do even though she wanted to help somehow. McKinley looked down to Kari. "If you two would like, my men and I could show you around." He said after explaining to the Straw hats of their crimes, still in a bit of pain. Kari looked to Chase then back to McKinley.

"Uh, maybe later. I kinda like the beach so I'll stay here for a bit." Kari said in a nervous tone. McKinley nodded.

"Very well, please do not hesitate to ask for anything. We will be leaving now. As for you seven, prepare yourselves." With that said and done he left. The crew looked at Kari and Chase.

"What was that about?!" Luffy bellowed in shock.

Kari and Chase shrugged. "Dunno." They replied in unison. Conis took a step forward.

"Well, y-you see. Here in Skypiea we worshiped dragons long ago like gods and goddesses, we still do in a way. Anyone who was raised by a dragon was treated the same way, but this was rare. Dragons used to live up here until a few hundred years ago when they fled down to the Blue sea."

Chase blinked. "Oh yeah, heh. I thought that knight guy was just messing with us. I forgot that a lot of humans worshiped dragons way back when." The dragon chuckled.

"How could you forget something like that?!" Usopp yelled. Chase shrugged.

"Not sure. Guess it was when Kari and I began living on our own. Aw well, I remember now so whatever." The dragon sighed then looked at the crew. "Looks like you are in quite the ordeal." He said. Kari nodded then sighed, trying to think of something to help her fellow crewmates and her captain.

"Well, in anycase you two stay here and keep yourselves safe." Luffy stated with a chuckle. "They don't know you're with us so don't get involved yet." Chase and Kari nodded.

"Maybe they could help out in their own way, using the privileges they have." Robin stated.

Kari smiled. "We could do that!" She said happily.

Chase grinned and nodded. "Alright, we'll be here. You guys be careful." The Straw hat crew nodded. Luffy, Sanji, and Usopp decide to get the rest of the food and materials for the rode and the others get on the ship to wait for them. While Nami, Robin, Chopper, and Zoro were on the ship, they began to move backwards. They were caught by the Super-Express lobster and were being taken to Upper yard without Sanji, Luffy, and Usopp.

Judgment had come.
