The legendary dragons stared at Kari as Spiritama lowered her head so the human could get on the floor safely. Kari looked at all of them and blinked.
"So," The dragon at the head of the oval shape began to speak with a booming male voice. The dragon who spoke was quadrupedal and had armor style scales that were colored like the galaxies and his pure black talons glinted in the light. His head was shaped like a typical western dragon with a few spikes aligned with his jaw-line and large dark purple his horns curved at the tip. His tail had a little bit of golden fur at the end and the back of his neck was lined with golden mane. His eyes were like large horizontal ovals that were a piercing gold color with white pupils and some other colors added to make it seem his eyes were stars. "You are the human I've heard so much about."
"Yeh." Kari replied and the other dragons murmured amongst themselves.
"Hmm... You show no fear. Do you know who I am?" The dragon tilted his head.
"Nope." Kari replied. Spiritama began to panic internally. "But I can take a guess." Kari stated then looked the dragon in the eyes. "You're the ancient dragon. Right?"
"That is correct. My name is Unarchuru."
"I'm Kari." The girl smiled then a dragon with light purple scales that had pink detail, hot pink horizontal oval-like eyes with light pink pupils, bat like wings, a smooth tail with tear drop shaped fins, small gold horns that went diagonally back, sharp black claws, and a golden eye symbol on his forehead spoke in a kind male voice.
"And why are you here? It is next to impossible to arrive on this island alive." He asked. Kari shrugged.
"I can't explain it very well, but I'll try. First minute I was with my crew on Sabaody ready to go to the new world, next thing I knew I was flying through the sky and ended up here." Kari frowned upon remembering what happened. "I've gotta get back. I've gotta see if they're okay." Kari said to the dragon.
"Unarchuru, should we help this human?" The purple dragon asked.
"Psynoma, the Psychic dragon, please read her. You are best with these situations. See if she is telling the truth." Unarchuru ordered the Psychic dragon. Psynoma nodded and looked at Kari, his eyes glowing brightly.
"Guys. I'll see you soon. Luffy said to meet in three days... I hope I can get back in time..." Kari thought with a gulp. Psyno blinked then looked at the Aether dragon.
"She is telling the truth." Psyno stated. Everyone murmured amongst themselves and then looked at Kari.
"Spiritama, I shall entrust you to watch Kari closely. She is our guest until she gets well enough to leave." Unarchuru smiled and Kari gasped happily.
"But Unarchuru! She's a human!" Tranic growled. The quadrupedal dragon across from him with a horse-like head, armor-like dark gray scales with dark gold lining, thin bat-like eyes that were navy blue with venom purple pupils, dark gray and gold feathered wings similar to eagle wings, silver claws, a long tail with no fins, a back lined with spines, and a platinum shattered circle with gold lining what was supposed to be the outer rim of the circle on her left shoulder spoke in a deep feminine voice.
"I agree with Tranic. We have been nothing to them but tools for their own uses. Our blood has been used for both cure and death. We can not afford to help out enemy."
"Yujios, the Chaos dragon." Unarchuru began. "And Tranic, the Tragedy dragon. Do you two question my final judgment? Do you question my decision?" Both named dragons shivered in fear as Unarchuru glared at them, an odd hum echoing throughout the hall. Kari blinked.
"... Rayleigh did this weird thing too. It sounded similar and it caused a lot of people to faint." Kari thought and stared at Unarchuru. The Aether dragon sighed then looked at Kari.
"Please, make yourself comfortable. You are our guest for as long as you stay." Kari nodded.
"Thank you." Kari smiled happily. Unarchuru nodded then gestured for Spiritama and Kari to leave. Once the door closed and the two were out of earshot the other dragons began to talk. A long, thin, quadrupedal dragon with white and gold scales, light brown horns that resembled a stag's horns, a head which resembled a camel's, cow-like ears, blazing orange tiger eyes with silver colored pupils, and black eagle-like claws. It had no wings yet it somehow managed to fly, a tail tipped with silver fur while its neck was lined with similar colored mane.
"I believe you made a good decision in sparing her, Unarchuru." The masculine Light dragon said.
"Thank you for your acceptance, Bernfai." Unarchuru sighed. A dragon that had only two front legs, smooth platinum colored scales, no wings yet could still fly, small horns that were a shimmering black, a snake-like head, round golden eyes with light gold pupils, and the hands of a clock on her chest spoke.
"I agree as well, her future holds many keys to doors that have been locked for millions upon millions of years. There are other keys held by humans that were fated to meet her. One of which wears a straw hat, one uses three swords, one has died but came back, another is an odd deer, a cyborg is among them, the one who controls the weather, the one that never misses a target, the one survivor, and finally the one who is a gentleman. These humans, along with a few others, are the key to helping us achieve our main goal." The feminine Time dragon said.
"Ah, is that so, Amsvia? Well then, everyone else?" He asked. A dark brown smooth scaled bipedal dragon with gold eyes and green pupils, feathered wings, steel colored claws, medium sized black horns that grew diagonally back and were straight, a finless tail, and a head similarly shaped to a stag's head spoke in a masculine voice.
"I am in between on this matter." The Hylic dragon said. The dragon to his left nodded. This dragon was quadrupedal had smooth grass green scales with swerving lines that were a lighter green color, violet owl-like eyes with blue pupils, light brown deer-like horns, dark brown claws, tail fins that resemble leaves, bat-like wings, and a head resembled the shape of a squirrel's head.
"I agree with Hemiro, I'm not sure how this will turn out." The nature dragon stated in a feminine voice then looked towards a dragon that had only two front legs, smooth pink, blue, black, and purple colored scales, no wings yet could still fly, small horns that were a shimmering navy blue, a snake-like head, round pale purple eyes with silver pupils, and a swirling eight pointed star shape on his chest "What about you, Garxeno?"
"I agree with Unarchuru, like my counterpart does. Paletaneh," The Space dragon glanced at the Nature dragon. "I am sure you will come to like her, as well as everyone else."
"But what if she goes back on her word?!" A long, thin, quadrupedal dragon spoke in a deep voice. He with red, orange and gold scales, gold-brown horns that resembled a stag's horns, a head which resembled a camel's, cow-like ears, blazing yellow tiger eyes with flaming red colored pupils, and black eagle-like claws. He had no wings yet he somehow managed to fly, a tail tipped with flame colored fur that glowed brightly while its neck was lined with similar colored mane that hat the same glow. A sun symbol was on his back.
"Taizun, stop. We must stay calm." Another long, thin, quadrupedal dragon spoke this time in a feminine voice. She had white, silver and platinum scales, silver-brown horns that resembled a stag's horns, a head which resembled a camel's, cow-like ears, soothing steel tiger eyes with soft gold colored pupils, and black eagle-like claws. She had no wings yet she somehow managed to fly, a tail tipped with shimmering silver, white, and platinum colored fur that glowed brightly while its neck was lined with similar colored mane that hat the same glow. A full moon symbol was on her back.
"Shut up Yuzineh!" The Sun dragon snapped at the Moon dragon. A quadrupedal dragon with armor-like neon blue colored scales with neon purple detail, bright gold horns that zig-zag slightly up and down and growing backwards at an angle, lion-like black claws, two tails without fins, feathered wings similar to falcon wings, a head similar to a deer's head, and fennec fox-like ears sighed.
"The energy in this room is so tense..." He muttered. A black and white quadrupedal dragon with armor-like scales, bat-like wings, golden hawk-like eyes with navy blue pupils, a smooth tail with oval shaped fins, golden tiger-like claws, a horse-like head, ears similar to a stag's ears, and a yin-yang symbol both shoulders huffed.
"I agree, Zerdaz. Everything is spinning in a strange way." The Balance dragon stated in a feminine voice.
"I can tell, Phodra. On that note I call this meeting to a close." Unarchuru said then stood and left the Legend Hall.
"Unarchuru!" A male voice called. Unarchuru turned around to see long, thin, quadrupedal dragon with black and redscales, dark brown horns that resembled a stag's horns, a head which resembled a camel's, cow-like ears, venom purple tiger eyes with platinum colored pupils, and jet black eagle-like claws. He had no wings yet she somehow managed to fly, a tail tipped with platinum fur while he neck was lined with similar colored mane.
"Ah, Darciea, what is it?" Unarchuru asked the Dark dragon. Darciea gulped and growled.
"Why a sudden change of heart?!" She asked with a growl. "You can't believe that a human wants to live in peace!"
"Darciea, stop this now. I have spoken and I do not need to explain myself. Now I am going to go hunting in the Florian Triangle, if you wish to join me then please come with. Other wise stay here. When I get back Kari better be unharmed any further."
"... Very well... But, isn't the Florian Triangle months away? Well, you are the Aether dragon so it is possible for you to fly there and back in less than a day... Have a good hunt... Oh, before you leave. Tranic wanted me to tell you. He said that the hu-- Er, Kari, humans have such odd names, wished to become alpha and reunite the dragons that had broken apart as well as restore peace between dragons and humans." She said. Unarchuru chuckled. "Unarchuru?"
"Well, how did he hear that?"
"She told Tranic to his face. Not breaking eye contact he said." Darciea informed. "She has the nerve to disrespect a legendary dragon in that way... It's a wonder why Tradic didn't kill her." Unarchuru laughed. "U-unarchuru?"
"Just from that story I can see that she's got a lot of spunk! She's just like my son... I wonder how he's doing." Unarchuru sighed at the thought of his son, who left Ehde-Dara five years ago to have his own journey, like some dragons do at times a few days after they are considered adults. Darciea sighed then nodded.
"Well, I'm heading home now. Take care." Darciea made her way home.
The weeks went by and Kari had not gotten news about her crew. She had healed enough to walk around whenever and had gained the trust of many of the dragons on Ehde-Dara. She looked through videos at the human observation building everyday whenever she could and every night she would sneak out of Spiritama's home to train her abilities. Today was no different.
"Oh," Spiritama called upon seeing the child exit the building. "Kari, did you find anything?"
"No." Kari frowned sadly. "I'm gonna walk through town. Maybe get some food or something." Kari said then began to head towards town.
"Okay. I'll get you if something comes up. I remember what they look like so you can count on me." Spiritama smiled happily and Kari waved as she walked into town. The cave-like buildings were made up of sparkling stone with stone doors and hard glass windows with different types of material used for the window panes. Kari looked around at the items and decided to buy some fruits that Spiritama liked as well as some Sea King mean to cook for later.
Hours passed and Kari was heading to Spiritama's house to drop everything off. As she walked she heard Spiritama call for her.
Kari ran to the human observation building without a second thought.
"How soon was it?!" Kari asked while putting the items down and getting on the Spirit dragon's head.
"It just started." She replied. Other dragons quietly walked in and watched as a war happened at Navy headquarters. Kari blinked.
"Where're my crewmates?" Kari whispered to Spiritama.
"Not all of them are here. Only Straw hat. I saw him on a ship but it got caught on a frozen wave." Kari nodded.
Hours went by and Kari had seen everyone's abilities, her eyes flashing a dim gold with each new ability. Everyone present watched in anticipation as Luffy neared the ship with his brother, but disaster struck. Ace, Luffy's brother, had been struck down. Kari widened her eyes in horror as she watched her captain cry with his brother dying in his arms. Kari began to cry as well, sharing his pain.
"IT'S NOT FAIR!!!" Her thoughts roared. "IT'S NOT FAIR! DAMN IT!! LUFFY WAS SO CLOSE TO SAVING HIM!!" Kari hiccuped sadly then took out the vivre card piece that she kept in her pocket and slid off of Spiritama and ran out, following where the card pointed.
"Kari! Wait!" Spiritama called and attempted to chase after her, but the room was too packed.
"I have to get to him! Luffy needs me! Luffy needs us!!" She called but a tail stopped her. It was Tranic. "Outta my way Tranic!" Kari hissed at the Tragedy dragon. Tranic just glared at her.
"If you want to be an Alpha, then first off you need to learn how to control your emotions in times like these." Tranic growled. "Diving head first into a battle in your condition is not a good idea. Not only that but even if you were fully healed you wouldn't be strong enough to do anything. Calm down. Not only that, but we are on an island in the sky that is being held up by island clouds! And you can't fly! I won't save you from falling to your death if you jump off the edge of this island and Spiritama or any other dragon here will just bring you back up here."
"But my captain needs me!" Kari roared. "Now get outta. My. WAY!!" Kari screamed and her voice echoed out. Some dragons fainted near by upon hearing the girl. Tranic widened his eyes at the girl. He lowered his head, picked her up in his jaw, ignoring her screams as she struggled. He walked towards the human observation and put her down in the building. Kari hissed then turned to watch the battle. She saw Law ordering his men around on his ship while holding a familiar straw hat. "Law?" Kari whispered then sighed. "... He's gonna be okay..." Kari frowned.
"Kari, I know you want to help your captain, but right now is not the time. He needs to grow from this. Trust me." Spiritama smiled bitterly. Kari nodded in reply.
