Midoriya slowly got used to his quirk, eventually finding himself able to balance decently enough that he wasn't constantly tripping. He still couldn't control the transformation aspect of it very well, transforming into a giant green dragon whenever he was scared or felt crowded.

His dragon instincts had caused for him to become extremely protective of his analysis notebooks, growling at anyone who tried to touch them. He had also started to collect rocks, which were usually scattered across his bed room floor, along with spare blankets that he wasn't using in his nest. Neither Inko or Ryuko entered his room often because of the rocks.

He only ever slept in his nest, which didn't come as too much of a surprise. However, he also had a tendancy to make nests out of the couch cushions, a habit that Inko really hoped would not last.

While Midoriya could still eat the same as any other person, he had gained a preference for meat and other foods produced by animals. Although, katsudon was still his favorite food.

They had also noticed that smoke came out of his nose whenever he sneezed, although it didn't seem to do him any harm.

After a week of him having his quirk, all of the desks at school were changed out so that the chairs would have holes in them, so that people with tails (like him) wouldn't be uncomfortable anymore. He was also moved to the back in most of his classes, so that he wouldn't wack one of his classmates with his tail by accident.

He had also grown about a foot in height, now being 6'3.

Bakugou left him alone for the most part, only sending him angry glares during classes and in the halls. He was probably worried that he would tell Ryuko that Bakugou bullied him.

The rest of his classmates had become a lot nicer towards him once he had manifested his quirk as well. It was weird, the way they went from treating him like he was worse than the dirt they walked on to treating him like they were friends. Not that Midoriya minded, he liked friends. At least, he was pretty sure he liked friends, he hadn't had any since he was four.

He shook his head, that was in the past now. He wasn't a quirkless kid anymore, he had a dragon quirk like Auntie Ryu's!! Since he wasn't quirkless anymore, he wasn't useless any more, which ment that people would be nicer, and they were nicer! Now that they wanted to be friends with him, maybe he could hang out with them, and see what having friends was like. His tail started wagging at the thought, causing for people walking on the sidewalk to part around him. None of them wanted to get hit by the appendage, which was completely understandable.

Well, he'd better get going, he didn't want to be late for class.

They were not friends. It took him a week to realize, but they were only being nice to him because his inital transformation had scared them. They just didn't want him to go dragon on them again.

The realization was more than a bit saddening for him. He didn't mean to scare them, his quirk had activated on it's own! Maybe he did act similarly to a dragon sometimes, but he was a really friendly dragon, not a mean one!

His tail and wings drooped as he walked home that day, earning him many glances of concern. No one would ever be concerned for him back when he was quirkless, except his mom.

He collapsed into his mom's arms when he got home, tail curling around them both. Auntie Ryu wasn't there today, because she had to do patrols and other important hero work.

"Izuku? Izuku, sweetie what's wrong?" Inko asked, rubbing his back. Midoriya choked back tears as he said, "I-I thought they were-were my friends.... M-Mom th-they're n-not my fr-friends they-they're just scared.... I-I don't want th-them to be scared...."

Inko continued to rub his back in between his two wings, causing the tension to leave them, "Oh honey.... Don't worry about it, okay? If they're scared of you, then that just means they don't know you at all."

Midoriya nodded slowly, before burrying his head in her shoulder, careful not to hurt her with his horns.

He was not a scary dragon, he was a friendly dragon.
