Honestly, the day after he had developed his quirk was the worst. Well, that was a lie. The worst day of his life was-- No, he didn't want to think about it.
Anyway, the badness of the day had started when he woke up extremely tired. He couldn't fall asleep at all, no matter what position he tried he just couldn't get comfortable in his bed. He told his mom about it, and she told him that she had an idea of what was going on, and that Ryuko could help him with it after school.
Getting to school had also been a big problem. He had become extremely clumsy due to the unusual weight from his tail, wings, and horns, and that was only increased by his tiredness. Meaning, he ended up triping or losing his balance multiple times, only barely managing to safe himself from falling a few times by catching himself with his tail. Even then, he still fell, he just didn't impact as badly. (He noted that the scales on his tail probably prevented it from getting too damaged)
And then, there was actually sitting in class. Not only did his classmates seem incredibly surprised by his dragonic appearance, but it seemed the teachers were as well, because his chair didn't have a hole for his tail to go through! Meaning, he had to sit on it through all of his classes! That was extremely uncomfortable, and the new appendage had even fallen asleep at one point. It still felt a bit tingly, although he had only just gotten up from his last class, so it made sense.
Leading him to his final reason to why this day sucked. The rest of his classmates had already filed out of the room, except for himself, and Katsuki Bakugou. The one who had bullied him the most when he was quirkless. Midoriya might have a dragon quirk now, but he'd admit that he was still pretty terrified of Bakugou.
So, naturally, the dragon boy tried to run out of the room before Bakugou attacked. However, Bakugou grabbed his tail, and yanked, making Midoriya fall to the floor.
Midoriya grunted on impact, and began scrambling backwards, away from Bakugou (and also away from the door, unfortunately). "O-Oh, h-h-hey K-Kacchan...! U-Uhm... I-I k-kinda need t-to get h-h-home..."
"Tch. You're looking down on me, fucking Deku!!!" Bakugou hissed, stomping on Midoriya's tail. Midoriya winced in pain, at least my tail's not asleep anymore...
"N-no, wh-where are y-you getting th-that from?" Midoriya squeaked, avoiding the urge to scratch Bakugou's foot. It wouldn't be a good idea, he'd just get Bakugou angrier.
"You've been hiding your damn quirk this whole time!!! What, did you think that your fucking dragon quirk was too good for me to see?" Bakugou shouted, pressing his foot down even harder. Midoriya gave a pained yelp, as he felt scales crawling down his back. His quirk was trying to activate. He forced it back down, keeping himself in his human state. He didn't want to transform inside of the school, his dragon form was pretty big and he could accidentally break something.
He shook his head, "Th-that's n-not i-it at a-all!!! I-I o-only g-got my quirk y-yesterday, I-I swear!!! I-I wasn't t-trying to h-h-hide it!!"
Bakugou 'tsk'ed, taking his foot off of Midoriya's tail, only to kick him in the gut. "Whatever.. Go fuck off!!!" He yelled, turning away from him and exiting the classroom. Midoriya didn't dare point out that Bakugou had attacked him, not the other way around. It would only agravate the blond more.
Midoriya waited awhile before he stood up, and began walking home, his tail draging mopily behind him. Despite the fact that he had gained a quirk, things weren't that much better, huh? He still tripped on his tail quite a few times, although he landed on the cement instead of catching himself more often than not.
Eventually, the dragon boy made it back to the appartment, and opened the door without bothering to knock first. He lived there, after all, even if Inko was the one who owned the place, not him.
On the couch sat Inko and Ryuko, who were talking to each other about something, although Midoriya wasn't sure what. Ryuko stood up when she noticed him, "Hey Izuku! Inko-nee here told me that you were having some problems sleeping?"
Midoriya's mind went blank for a moment, before he nodded slowly. Ryuko took this as her cue to continue, "Well, we think that it might have something to do with your quirk. You know how we have similar quirks, right? Well, when mine first developed, I got what we called 'dragon instincts' for a while. It faded after a few months, but one of the instincts it gave me was that I had a hard time falling asleep in a regular bed. Instead, I'd make a sort of nest out of pillows and blankets. If you think it would help, I can show you how I made them."
He took a few moments to process what she had said, as he was still tired from his lack of sleep, before he slowly nodded, "yeah, I think I'd like that..."

The three of them ended up going shopping for some pillows and blankets, as Midoriya didn't have enough to make a nest. Surprisingly, a lot of the ones he picked out were different shades of green rather than pro hero themed, although he did get a few of those, too. Inko suspected that it was because green was a familiar color for him, and he also was probably a bit embarrassed too buy a bunch of hero merch in front of Ryuko.
Ryuko helped him set up the nest on his bed, and as soon as they finished, Midoriya curled up in the center of it, and fell asleep, mumbling, "thanks Auntie Ryu..."
