It had been a normal day before, really. Midoriya went to school, geeked out over heros, and got bullied for his quirklessness, the same as usual. But at some point while he was getting pushed around, something in him snapped.
Before anyone knew it, the small, frail boy had been replaced by a large dragon, covered in scales that looked like emeralds. The dragon let out a loud, threatening roar, showing the sharp, pointed teeth filling it's maws. Fearful screaming soon followed, and everyone ran around in panic, trying to get away from the huge beast.
The principal had called Inko to alert her of the situation, leading to where they were now. Midoriya lay on the concrete, similar to how a dog would. His large tail thudded on the concrete, as Inko rubbed his muzzle in a manner similar to petting. Everyone else had already went home.
She was talking to someone on the phone, "Hey Ryu... Yeah, I know, I need some help with something.... Yeah, Izuku got his quirk... I know, I know, can you please just come? ..... Alright, see you in a bit."
Who was this Ryu person? He'd never heard of anyone with that name before, had he? Maybe they were one of Inko's high school friends? He knew that she still talked to them, although he'd only ever met Mitsuki.
He didn't think about it for too long, too busy appreciating the pets that he was being given. Why did it feel so good? He didn't know, but it did. If it weren't for that fact that his new, dragon face couldn't actually smile, he'd be grinning from ear-to-ear.
Eventually, he heard the sounds of a car pulling in. Out stepped none other than the pro-hero Ryukyu, or Ryuko Tatsuma. She was out of coustume, but Midoriya could still recognize her. How did his mom have her phone number?
"Hey big sis!!" Ryukyu said, waving to Inko.
Wait... He was related to a pro-hero?!
Inko waved back to her, "Hi Ryu", and Ryukyu turned to look at Midoriya. "I can see why you called me instead of a quirk specialist."
Inko stepped away from Midoriya, and Ryukyu said, "Hello, Izuku. So, I assume this is the first time you've activated your quirk?"
This snapped Midoriya out of his internal fanboying, and he nodded, a puff of smoke leaving his nostrils.
Ryukyu nodded, "What I usually do in order to switch out of my dragon form is I imagine myself with my quirk turned off, and focus on that. Can you try that for me?"
Midoriya nodded once again, and closed his eyes, doing as he had been instructed to.
Once he opened his eyes again, he found that he was staring at his hands once more. Except, they were still... different. He had long, dragon-like claws protruding from his fingertips, and the backs of his hands were still covered in the emerald scales. A long, thick, green dragon tail was curled around his body, it's base at his lower back. He could feel the scales that remained on his cheeks. Two green horns stuck out of his head, curling backward. His teeth still felt pointed and sharp in his mouth. He could feel dragon wings folded up on his back, although they were much smaller than before.
He sat up, head feeling heavy from the new horns. He groaned, unused to the weight. He was sure it'd be even worse if he tried to stand up, especially with the large, scaly tail that wrapped itself around his body.
He didn't get the chance to test that theory out, however, as Inko threw herself at him, engulfing him in a tear-filled hug. He hugged her back, careful to not scratch her with his new claws. He soon started crying as well, and Ryukyu hung back, akwardly watching as the two hugged. Honestly, Midoriya didn't even know why he was crying, he just was.
Eventually, Inko pulled away from the hug, still teary-eyed but wearing a shaky smile. "Come on, sweetie, let's go home."
She helped him up onto his feet, and as he tried to step forward, he felt himself wobbling, and began falling before he could really stop himself. Before he hit the ground, however, Ryukyu managed to catch him, and he murmured "Thanks Ryukyu-sama..."
"There's no need for that!! Just call me Ryuko, okay?" Ryukyu said, smiling at him.
Inko and Ryuko had to help Izuku walk to the car, as he had a hard time keeping balance with his new tail.

Ryuko helped Midoriya learn how to use his quirk a little bit, although they didn't really make too much progress. "Don't worry about it, okay? You only just got your quirk today, it took me lots of training to get to the amount of control I have now."
Midoriya nodded in response, his tail wagging behind him. Honestly, after getting over the inital shock, the idea of it was really exciting! He had finally developed a quirk, and it was a strong one, too!! Then he found out that his aunt was the No. 9 pro-hero, Ryukyu!! It was all so amazing, that he had completely forgotten how the whole thing started in the first place.
They had tried to get rid of his dragon-like traits, but the mutations remained, causing for them to suspect that the mutations might be permenent. Inko and Ryuko were going to try and find a quirk specialist to help him as well, but Ryuko was more than willing to help him as it was.
"Dinner's ready, you two!!"
A/N
Quick thing on ages!! I aged up Ryuko so that Inko being her sister would make a bit more sense. Ryuko is currently 30 in this fic, Inko is 41 (like in canon), and Izuku is 15.
Also, Izuku didn't know Ryuko was his aunt because
A. He never asked about his family, so the discussion never came up, and
B. Ryuko was too occupied by her hero work to visit. If she could, she would've.
