Gohan and Mae went back to the waiting area. She was still furious and her temper rose even more when she saw that Goku wasn't back. "What the hell is taking him so long?" Mae snapped.

"He should be back by now right." Gohan said looking around.

"Well I'm not fighting until he comes back." Mae crossed her arms.

"Seriously?" Krillin asked.

"He's only going to be here for one day. What's the point if I can't even prove to him how strong I am." Mae glared.

Gohan stared out at the arena. There was a break going on and the crowd was muttering about Videl. "I should be with her." He said.

"Then go see her." Mae said.

"Okay." Gohan nodded as he ran back to Videl's room.

Mae started to pace, her temper rising. Vegeta walked up to her. "Mae you need to calm down before your match."

"You are the one telling me to use my rage." Mae said.

"If you go out there in a blind fury then you will surely lose. That Kibito guy looks like he can handle himself in a fight." Vegeta said.

Mae took a deep breath, "fine, yea you are right."

"Beat Kibito and then you can fight Spopovich." Vegeta said.

Gohan returned shortly afterwards, "there are too many reporters. Dad still isn't back?" He looked around.

Mae shook her head as the announcer came walking towards them. "We are going to start the next match soon."

"I'm not fighting until Goku comes back." Mae said stubbornly.

"Are you friends with him?" The announcer asked her.

"He's my dad. He went off to get some medicine for Videl." She said looking up at him.

"Oh I see. Well we can postpone the match for a little bit longer." The announcer said as he walked to the arena. "Alright everyone! So I just got done talking to the doctors and they said Videl is going to be fine!" The crowd cheered. "The next match between Mae and Kibito will begin shortly!"

Soon the crowd started to grow restless but luckily enough Goku returned. "Dad! Did you get the senzu beans?" Gohan asked.

"Yep I got three, here you go." Goku said handing him the beans.

"I'll be right back!" Gohan said as he ran to give Videl a bean.

"Mae good luck with your match!" Goku smiled.

"I'll show you just how strong I am." Mae narrowed her eyes. She took a couple deep breaths and prepared herself.

Gohan came running back, "Mae before you go try not to use super saiyan okay?"

"I'll try." Mae said as she stepped up next to Kibito. Together they walked out to the arena.

"Mae!" Erasa cheered, "good luck!"

"You can win Mae!" Sharpner cheered as well.
Mae looked over at her classmates and nodded. She brought her attention back to Kibito who was standing in front of her. His face was like stone as he stared at her.

"Alright let's get the fourth match under way!" The announcer said.

"I want you to show me your super saiyan form." Kibito said.

"Huh? How do you know about that?" Mae said in surprise.

"How I know is not your concern." Kibito said. "Show me your super saiyan power. It could be of use to us."

"I'm not a damn pawn to command." Mae frowned.

"Show me your power!" Kibito snapped at her.

Mae turned to where Gohan was watching. Piccolo nodded to her and she knew that she would have to use super saiyan. He had been nervous about this strange man all day. "Fine. Do you want just super saiyan or the next level?"

"There's a level beyond super saiyan?!" Kibito asked in shock.

Mae nodded as she began to power up. "Whatever happens I want you to know that Mae will be fine." Shin said to the onlookers. "At all costs you must stay out of the ring."

"Is something going to happen to Mae?" Gohan asked.

"He wants to see Mae's power." Piccolo said.

"Yes. It's important that you do as I say." Shin said.

"I don't take orders from you!" Vegeta snapped at him.

"Vegeta have some more respect! He is the supreme Kai!" Piccolo said urgently.

"Are you going to fight or not!" "Come on start the match already!" The crowd shouted they were growing restless again.

"Mae I need to see your power!" Kibito urged.

"Damn it fine. Sorry Gohan." Mae sighed.

"I have a bad feeling about this." Krillin said.

"The instant Mae transforms Yamu and Spopovich will attack her." Shin said, "no matter what you cannot help her."

"Mae can take care of herself. After all I am the one who trained her." Vegeta smirked.

"Why are they going to attack her?" Goku asked.

"She is the one they have been searching for whether or not they know it." Shin continued. "Don't worry, they do not want her life only her energy."

"Did I miss her match?" Videl asked as she came running up.

"No it's just starting. Glad to see you are better." Gohan said to her.

"Alright Kibito, I hope you are ready!" Mae said as her power spiked. She yelled as her hair and aura turned gold, sparks cracking around her. She stared at him with piercing green eyes and the arena floor played lifted into the air as she powered up.

"Wow!" Erasa said, "look at her hair!"

"Mae is the golden fighter!" Sharpner said.

"That's my daughter!" Chi-Chi cheered.

The plates of the arena dropped back down once Mae reached her full power. "This is super saiyan two."

"Wow Mae has gotten a lot stronger!" Goku said.

"Right now she is the strongest person at this tournament." Shin said. "I hope it'll be enough."

"She's the one!" Yamu said. "Let's go now!" He said as he and Spopovich flew into the ring.

"Hmph these guys? I can take them." Mae said bringing her hands up.

"Hah!" Shin brought his hands up and suddenly Mae could no longer move.

"What the hell?!" Mae said almost panicked.

"What did you do?" Goku asked.

Spopovich grabbed Mae from behind locking her into place. Her eyes widened as Yamu stabbed her in the side with some sort of container. Mae screamed in pain as the point pierced her side.

"She will be fine!" Shin assured them.

"I have to help her!" Gohan said as he tried to run into the ring. Piccolo grabbed him and held him firm as Mae continued to scream.

"You must stay back!" Shin ordered. "They are taking her energy."

"Mae!" Videl ran out but Goku grabbed her wrist. "Goku let me go!"

"Mae will be fine." He frowned. He too didn't like watching his daughter suffer but if the supreme Kai said she would be okay then he had to believe him.

"She isn't in any danger." Shin said. Mae continued to struggle and scream as her energy was being sucked out of her. Mae's hair went back to black and she looked to Goku for help that she knew wouldn't come. Yamu smiled as the container began to glow and then with a blinding light it was over.

"We have all the pure energy we need." Yamu said as Spopovich dropped Mae. She fell to her knees then down on her chest. She couldn't move at all. Yamu and Spopovich took off leaving the fallen saiyan.

"Stay here. Kibito will take care of Mae." Shin said. "I am going to follow them. I would appreciate your help but I understand if you need to stay." He said to Goku.

"No I'm coming too. I want answers." Goku said.

"I'll go too Goku." Krillin said.

"Hold up Kakarot!" Vegeta stormed over. "You are just trying to get out of our match aren't you!"

"What no Vegeta!" Goku said, "I just want to find out what's going on is all."

"Fine but I'm coming too." He scoffed.

"I'm going to stay here with Mae." Gohan said as he and Videl ran to her.

Goku flew over to Kibito, "hey do you promise you will take care of her?"

"I promise." Kibito nodded.

"Mae," Videl placed a hand on her back. "I didn't get to tell you but you are also my friend."

Vegeta looked at Mae before he took off following Goku. He too wanted to know why they needed her energy and what they were plotting.
