"You really think you can kill me?" Gohan asked stepping into his fighting stance.

Buu smirked and brought his hand over his head. "I know I can."

Mae's eyes widened in horror. "That's Vegeta's stance!" She roared before taking off punching and kicking. She was letting her anger guide her as Buu blocked and countered.

"Mae wait!" Gohan said launching himself up. As Mae was knocked back Gohan stepped in and took over.

"Where did they go?" Mr. Satan asked Dende.

"Mae and Gohan are fighting Majin Buu." Dende said.

Buu kicked Gohan to the ground and wrapped his antenna around Mae. He brought her close and said, "you know Trunks blames you for Vegeta's death."

Mae stopped struggling and looked Buu dead in the eyes. Her look was that of pure rage. Before she could say anything Gohan flew up and knocked Buu to the ground freeing Mae. She held her hand out and sent an energy beam. When Buu dodged it she flew directly at him, punching him hard in the stomach. He wrapped his arm around her waist twice and flung her at Gohan.

The two saiyans collided and crashed to the ground. Buu sent an energy beam at Mae and Gohan. At the same time the twins fired their own energy blasts. They met in the middle and they pushed back causing the beams to explode. Mae caught Gohan as they fell. "Are you good?" She asked as she touched the ground.

"I'm fine. Stay back." He told her as he flew up to meet Buu.

Buu punched at Gohan who ducked down and dodged the attack. They both brought their legs up and kicked each other. Gohan jumped back down to Mae and Buu landed in front of them. He cocked his head and laughed. "Now I'm starting to get excited."

"Tch," Mae scoffed. "Let's show him what saiyans are made of."

"What happened to all the military people?" Mr. Satan asked looking around.

"What people?" Dende asked.

"The people dropping all those bombs." Mr. Satan said still looking.

"Those explosions were the force of Mae and Gohan fighting Buu." Dende explained.

"Gohan, if you want to turn and run you can." Buu said. "Just hand Mae over. There's no shame in quitting."

"Shut up! Gohan would never give up!" Mae snapped.

"Mae ever the brave little one." Buu smirked. "Too bad your twin doesn't have the same courage you do."

"Mae, let's show him why our brother looks up to us." Gohan said bringing his hands back up.

"He doesn't you know." Buu said. "Goten wonders why you two gave him up. Trunks thinks Gohan is a coward and that Mae is an arrogant person who only thinks of herself. Piccolo isn't impressed with you Gohan and I'm certain Vegeta would be ashamed of you Mae."

"Mae don't listen to him." Gohan said. He could see the color draining from Mae's face. "Your mind games won't work on us."

Mae blinked and clutched her chest. "It's my fault." She whispered as Buu sent a huge energy blast at her and Gohan.

"Damn it." Gohan swore as he grabbed Mae and hid amongst the smoke. "Mae snap out of it!"

"Oh no! I can't see the twins!" Goku exclaimed as he watched on.

"Do you think Gohan still has the power to defeat Buu?" The supreme kai asked the old kai.

"Hmm, I'm not sure." The old kai said after a moment. "There's a good chance this fight is over."

"No!" Goku said. "Gohan might not have the power but he does have Mae. She never gives up even when her life is on the line."

"Gohan, I know you and your sister are alive." Buu said firing an energy beam to clear the smoke. "Buying time won't help you."

Gohan slapped Mae across the face. "Mae get it together. We don't have time for this."

Mae put her hand to her cheek and nodded. "You're right. Let's do this."

"We need a plan." Gohan said looking up.

"We don't have time. I'll go and create an opening." Mae said and she jumped up.

"Ah Mae come to finally join me?" Buu smirked as he blocked her kick.

"You wish." She said as she spun around and punched him in the stomach sending him flying backwards.

"Did Gohan run away like the coward he is?" Buu asked holding his stomach. Mae didn't answer, instead she sent a barrage of energy blasts as him. Buu dodged and deflected them and then he rushed forward and got in her face. "How does it feel knowing you won't ever be the hero?"

"What?" Mae asked taking a step back.

"Always living in Goku and Gohan's shadow." Buu laughed as he again wrapped his antenna around her neck. He lifted her up to be eye level. "Poor little Mae." He then called out. "Gohan come out before I kill her."

Mae was struggling to breathe when Gohan jumped up and rushed him. "Let her go!" He yelled as he kicked Buu in the jaw. Mae fell to the ground and started coughing. She looked up and saw Gohan and Buu attacking each other.

"Piccolo would be so disappointed." Buu said as he grabbed Gohan's arm. "You know he always regretted choosing you over Mae. She's the stronger twin and yet Piccolo trained you." Buu punched him in the stomach and threw him down to where Mae was.

"Gohan!" She choked. She looked up and saw Buu had his fingers to his forehead. "Oh no. Gohan run!"

"Now this is a Piccolo move!" Buu laughed unleashing the special beam cannon.

Mae threw herself in front of Gohan and blocked the attack. When the smoke cleared she dropped to her knees. "Gohan." She whispered.

"I'm surprised you are still alive." Buu said as he landed in front of them. "Gohan, you let your sister save you again. You know you are letting everyone down."

Gohan slowly stood up. "I won't let you win." He ran forward and Buu grabbed him by the throat.

"I'm going to kill you." Buu said as he stretched his arm sending Gohan flying into the rocks.

Gohan pulled himself out of the rubble and watched Buu blow a white bubble that turned into a ghost version of Buu. "What the hell?" Gohan asked as he dodged its attacks.

"I should thank you, Mae." Buu said as he watched Gohan run from the ghost. "You did such a wonderful job training Gotenks and helping him figure out his moves."

"Gohan don't let it touch you!" Mae said but he couldn't hear her. He brought his hand down on the ghost and it exploded. Gohan fell to the ground near Mae. She pulled herself up and went to him.

"You are making this so easy, Gohan." Buu said. "I'm a little disappointed. At least Mae is trying to put up a good fight."

"You bastard." Mae growled as she put herself between Buu and Gohan.

Gohan stood up. "I'm not dead yet."

"There has to be something we can do!" Goku said desperately.

"Let's send you then." The old kai said pointing at Goku.

"Huh? I can't go. I'm dead." Goku said.

"I'm willing to give up what life I have left so you can live." The old kai said. "After earth is destroyed Majin Buu will be coming here."

"Wait! I should be the one to do it." Shin said.

"No. Let the old ones sacrifice themselves so the young ones can live." The old kai said. He took a breath and let it out. Suddenly the halo above Goku's head was gone and the old kai collapsed.

Mae and Gohan flew at Buu again. He formed three rings and sent them around the twins. "Mae should recognize this. Another move from Gotenks," he said as the rings tightened snapping Mae and Gohan together. "Now to end it with this." Buu said bringing his hands to his side. As he readied the kamehameha Mae and Gohan broke free and dodged it just in time.

They both dropped to the ground, exhausted. "What do we do?" Mae asked her brother.

"I don't know." Gohan said as he grabbed her and hid behind a rock.

"The brave one and the coward." Buu said as he blew up the rock they were hiding behind. "Both of you are done."

"You don't get to tell me when I'm done!" Mae snapped. It was taking everything she had just to hold her super saiyan three form. "Big Bang Attack!" She yelled and Buu just knocked it back to her. She dropped her form and fell.

"Your turn, Gohan." Buu smirked as he walked forward.

Goku looked at the old kai sadly when suddenly he sat up with a halo over his head. "What are you waiting for?!"

"Oh sorry! I'll go right now!" Goku said putting his fingers to his forehead.

"Wait, what's your plan?" The old kai asked.

"Plan?" Goku said confused.

"Yes you need to have a plan." The old kid sighed.

"Oh I'll just do the fusion technique with Gohan!" Goku said.

"I don't think Majin Buu will wait around for you to teach it to him and then master it. Here take these." The old kai said handing him a pair of earrings.

"How will dressing like a kai help?" Kibito asked.

"Just put one on your left ear and have either Mae or Gohan put the other on their right." The old kai explained. "Once they are on you will instantly fuse together."

Fortune teller Baba sat on her crystal ball in front of King Yemma. "Why do I have to take him?" She asked.

"He's the only fighter we have left to send." King Yemma told her.

"Fine." She sighed.

Vegeta walked forward. "Heh I'm the best chance you guys have. This time I won't blow myself up."
