"Vegeta." Mae said looking up at him. The man in front of her was no longer her mentor. This was the same man who took her all those years ago. He had a darkness in his eyes and Mae felt afraid for the first time in years.

"Vegeta!" Goku walked up to him. "This can't be serious!"

"Oh I'll show you just how serious it is, Kakarot." Vegeta grinned as he walked to Mae. He stopped in front of her and grabbed her by the hair and lifted her up. Mae felt weak as she stared into his eyes. He grinned as he drove his knee into her stomach. Mae gasped and blood filled her mouth. Vegeta dropped her to the ground and turned back to Goku.

"Mae!" Gohan cried as he ran to help her up.

Mae forgot her fear as she spat blood. "I'm fine." She pulled herself up remembering a time long ago. Vegeta was ruthless with her training back then, this was nothing compared to that.

Suddenly they were being transported and they found themselves back at the World Martial Arts Tournament. "Somehow these people magically appeared here!" The announcer said confused. The crowd began to chatter and Mae saw Mr. Satan standing next to the announcer.

"Oh no." Goku said looking around.

"Don't worry," Vegeta glanced at the announcer, "we are just here for a little exhibition match.

"Sir I'm going to have to ask you to leave!" Mr. Satan mustered as much courage as he could. Vegeta swiped his arm and the announcer and Mr. Satan flew backwards.

'Vegeta, this is your new master. Kill your friends quickly and we can awaken Majin Buu!' Babidi spoke into his mind.

"No. They don't matter the only one I want to fight is him." Vegeta pointed at Goku.

Goku narrowed his eyes at the saiyan prince, "Vegeta what are you doing?"

"Fight me Kakarot!" Vegeta held his hand out and sent an energy blast at Goku. Goku tried to deflect it but it was too strong and he was knocked out of the way. The blast went right into the crowd and into the town.

"Vegeta how could you!" Goku gaped at the smoking stands, hundreds of people dead.

"Vegeta why?!" Mae stepped in front of her teacher. The people left in the stands began to run for their lives.

"Because I can." Vegeta said still holding his hand in front of him.

"Vegeta please don't do this!" Gohan begged.

The crowd started to yell, "hey Mr. Satan what are you doing there take him out!" "Yea are you supposed to be the world savior!"

"That idiot is going to die." Mae muttered under her breath as Mr. Satan stepped up to Vegeta.

"Now you listen here! I don't want to have to fight you but I will!" Mr. Satan said all tough-like.

Vegeta started to laugh, "the only one I want to face is Kakarot!"

"You'll have to go through me first." Mae growled.

"I don't think so." Vegeta glared down at her.

"Will you kill me, Vegeta?" Mae cocked her head up at him.

Vegeta paused for a moment before he kicked her sending her flying to Gohan's feet. "Listen up Kakarot! Either you fight me or more people will die."

"I'm surprised Vegeta." Goku said. "I didn't think you were this weak. How could you let someone take over your mind?"

"Dad don't." Gohan said barely above a whisper.

"It's pathetic." Mae spat as she got up.

Vegeta gave an evil smile, he lifted his hand up to the side and blasted more people. "Vegeta!" Goku yelled he was becoming more infuriated.

"Vegeta stop this now!" Gohan said leaping in between the two saiyans.

"Get out of the way!" Vegeta shoved Gohan back. "The only one I will be fighting is your circus clown of a father!"

"Circus clown? Really?" Goku sighed. "Fine Vegeta." He powered up to super saiyan.

"Goku no!" Shin said stepping in front of him. "You cannot fight him. This is exactly what Babidi wants!"

"Vegeta is this what you want or what Babidi wants?" Goku asked.

"Tomorrow you go back to being dead." Vegeta said. "I'm not going to miss out on this chance."

"This fight is meaningless!" Shin yelled.

"It's not meaningless!" Vegeta roared. "My whole race was enslaved and then destroyed! My own strength is all that matters now. I am a saiyan prince and Kakarot is nothing yet somehow he is stronger. He has stolen my honor and it's time for him to pay."

"Babidi!" Goku called out. "I'll fight if you move us somewhere away from people."

"I cannot allow this." Shin glared. "If you want to fight then you have to go through me."

"Move Supreme Kai." Goku growled as he brought his hand up. "Don't make me do this." Energy started to form in front of him.

"There is no stopping them." Mae crossed her arms.

Shin sighed and finally gave in. He knew that Goku was willing to kill him just to fight Vegeta. Goku lowered his hand and Babidi transported them to a canyon. "Since you are so persistent on fighting I'll just have to break through the ship." Shin said.

'Vegeta kill the Supreme Kai now!' Babidi's voice filled Vegeta's head again.

"No. Whatever your deal is with him you deal with it. Kakarot is my only concern." Vegeta said resisting his new master. Again he cried out in agony as Babidi tried to take control. "You have taken my mind and my body, you will not take my pride!" He yelled his aura shooting up into the sky.

"His pride is somehow too much for Babidi's control!" Shin said astonished. Suddenly the door opened, "Gohan, Mae, and I will go and stop Majin Buu before he reaches full power."

"No I'm not leaving." Mae said.

"We could really use your help!" Gohan pleaded.

"I'm not leaving him!" Mae snapped.

"Mae go with them." Goku ordered. "I don't need your help here."

"I'm not leaving Vegeta." Mae said glaring at her father.

"So loyal!" Vegeta laughed. "Tell me Kakarot, how does it feel knowing your own blood is more loyal to me than you?"

Goku ignored him, "fine stay if you want. Gohan here take this." He handed Gohan a senzu bean, "you need to be at your full strength."

"Thanks dad." Gohan said eating the bean. "I know this day didn't turn out how we expected, but I'm glad you are here."

"Gohan, remember to fight with your feelings like you did with Cell. You can do this." Goku told his son as they jumped into the ship. "Now Vegeta shall we skip the warm up?"

"Fine with me." Vegeta cracked his knuckles. Vegeta attacked Goku and they locked together.

Gohan and Shin continued down into the ship. "Is it okay that we left Mae?" Shin asked.

"Yea why?" Gohan asked.

"I worry that she will join Vegeta's side." Shin said. "If she does and Babidi gets her too then the results could be catastrophic."

"She won't." Gohan said confidently. "Most likely she stayed so that way they don't kill each other."

Mae watched as Goku and Vegeta both powered up to super saiyan two. "Impressive Kakarot, you are stronger than your son was when he fought Cell."

"I see you've been training as well." Goku smirked.

"Of course. I've had a great training partner. Why do you think I still keep the brat around." Vegeta laughed.

"Don't pretend like you don't care for her." Goku frowned as he went in for an attack. They seemed about equal in strength. Both of them were getting in a lot of good attacks.

Mae kept hopping from rock to rock trying to keep up with their fight. Neither of them was going to give in. She knew that this could turn into a fight to the death. Vegeta grabbed Goku and shot him point blank with an energy blast. Goku fell into a mountain and Vegeta sent another energy beam. Goku sent one back and they met in the middle. Goku continued to push until he was close to Vegeta. Their energy expanded and exploded. Mae covered her face as rocks and debris shot passed her. When she looked she saw Goku hanging on to the cliff with one hand.

"Is that all Kakarot?" Vegeta scoffed as he grabbed him and threw him against the rock wall. Both of them had taken damage and were covered in scrapes and bruises. Vegeta sent five rings pinning Goku to the rock face. "Are you angry? Humiliated?"

Goku struggled and the energy rings tightened. "Vegeta stop this." He gasped.

"You have humiliated me." Vegeta scowled. "For Years you have done nothing but hurt my pride. You were the first of our race to achieve super saiyan. It should have been my birth right! You also were the one who avenged our people when you faced Frieza. I even had to watch your son become stronger than me while fighting Cell. Well no more. Now it's time I hurt your pride!"

"Rah!" Goku yelled as he ripped free pulling the rock with him. He then smashed it against Vegeta sending him flying into a cave. Goku used his instant transmission to get inside. Vegeta was no where to be seen. "I know you are hiding Vegeta."

Vegeta sent an energy blast and Goku dodged. Vegeta then grabbed Goku from behind, "I'm right here!" He then flew up trying to impale Goku on a stalactite.

Goku stopped him in time and shook him off. "You wanna talk about pride!" Goku said punching him. "You stole my own daughter, for  some unknown reason. Then when she finally comes back I had to watch her grow up favoring and idolizing you!" Vegeta smirked as he saw Mae run into the cave, searching for them. "Now she is just as cold and cruel as you are." Goku said with disgust.

"At least now she knows why you've always favored the boy." Vegeta grinned as he pointed at Mae.
