"Goku, Vegeta here take these!" The supreme kai said urgently.

They looked down and saw that he was trying to give them the potara. "No thanks." Vegeta shook his head.

"Buu is here! We don't have time. Mae you fuse!" The elder kai snapped at them.

"No way!" Mae crossed her arms.

"I'm with Mae and Vegeta." Goku said. "Buu isn't a fused person anymore so it wouldn't be fair if we fused."

"You guys should get out of here while you can." Mae said.

"We won't be able to fight to our fullest while you guys are here." Goku said turning back to face Buu.

"Good luck Goku, Mae, Vegeta." Dende said as the supreme kai took them away.

The kais and Dende arrived at a world surrounded by tall grass. The elder kai placed the crystal ball on a log. "Perhaps they are going to do the fusion technique."

"Will thirty minutes be enough time?" The supreme kai asked.

"We will have to see." The elder kai said.

"Alright we gotta do this the old fashion way." Goku said as the other saiyans stepped forward.

"I hate this." Mae groaned.

"Come on just do it!" Vegeta snapped at her.

"Fine." Mae sighed.

"Rock, paper, scissors!" They said together. Goku put up rock while Mae and Vegeta scissors.

"Yes I win!" Goku cheered.

"Every damn time." Mae complained.

"Whatever Kakarot. Go have your turn." Vegeta said as he and Mae gave him some distance.

Goku walked forward to meet Buu. 'I could have defeated Majin Buu before with super saiyan three. I wanted to give the kids a chance to fight. Mae is the one who has impressed me the most. In the seven years I've been gone her strength has gone up considerably. She could have defeated Buu before he changed.'

"Vegeta," Mae said standing next to her mentor. "I'm glad you came back to help."

"Hmph, you guys really needed my help." Vegeta smirked.

Mae grinned but her smile faded when she saw the halo still floating over his head. "We can win this." She said with fire in her eyes.

"What's he doing?" Goku asked peering at Majin Buu. When he realized he had fallen asleep Goku became angry. "That's it!" He yelled powering up to super saiyan two. Buu woke up at the sudden power shift.

"Oh no! I just realized that we left that man and his dog!" The supreme kai said suddenly.

"I'm sure they will be okay." The elder kai said. "The real question is why aren't Mae and Vegeta helping Goku?!"

Buu looked at Goku and then started to beat on his chest like a monkey. As Goku rushed forward to attack he continued to beat on his chest until he was launched into a mountain side. Buu got up, looked at Goku and started again. Goku used his instant transmission to get in close. He created a huge energy ball and blasted Buu to pieces.

"He did it! Buu is dead!" Mr. Satan cheered.

"That blast wasn't enough to kill him." Mae said as she and Vegeta watched.

Buu quickly reformed his body and glared at Goku. He went in for a punch and Goku dodged and countered. They took off into the air sending continuous attacks until Buu got the upper hand. He smashed Goku into the ground and before he could get up he wrapped his antenna around his neck. Buu started to swing Goku around and around before launching him into a mountain. When the rubble didn't move Buu stood on top and started to beat on his chest again.

The mountain started to separate and Buu looked down and saw Goku. "Okay time for plan b. Whatever that is." He panted.

Buu frowned and jumped down to face Goku. He held his hand up and started to form a ball of energy. Goku made his own to stop it but it just got sucked in making Buu's energy bigger. Buu launched it at Goku who put his hands up. As he started to get engulfed by the energy he managed to knock it up into the sky. Buu grinned as he moved his hand causing the energy to come back around the planet and slam down into the ground.

"What the hell?" Mae asked as the sky turned a shade of red and black.

"Where is Kakarot?" Vegeta asked. Suddenly the sky shifted to a blue and black as lightning shot down. "Freaky."

"This is definitely weird." Mae said as the ground started to shake and split apart. Different areas of the planet started to concave in while other parts shot up and formed new mountains. Both Mae and Vegeta moved quickly to avoid the various debris that was surging around them.

"It's over." The supreme kai said softly.

"Buu is too strong. I don't want to see Goku hurt." Dende said sadly.

"I don't think so." The elder kai said. "Goku still has a fire in his eyes. I don't think he's about to give up any time soon."

Goku jumped up onto a rock pillar and looked at Buu. "Damn it. He has to have some sort of weak point. He's twice as strong as before. I'm just not sure how to beat him." More lightning shot down as Goku began to increase his power. He surged up until his hair flowed behind him, super saiyan three.

"Mae!" Vegeta called as he climbed out of a pile of rubble.

"I'm fine." Mae said pushing a rock off her.

"Looks like Kakarot is stepping things up." Vegeta pointed.

"He's using super saiyan three." Mae said. This would be the perfect opportunity to see how he used it.

"You can use that form as well." Vegeta said.

Mae nodded. "Yea I can."

Buu attacked Goku again. This time Goku seemed to have the upper hand as he sent continuous attacks at him. As Buu flew towards him, Goku unleashed an energy attack causing Buu to fall to pieces again. When he reformed he had his head on the wrong end.

"I know this is stressful but keep your head on your shoulders." Goku smirked. Buu frowned and fixed himself and they started attacking each other again.

Even in Hell they were watching the fight between Goku and Majin Buu. "That damn monkey! How can he be this strong?!" Frieza complained.

"That Buu is giving him a better fight than I did and he gave up against me." Cell added.

"I am the one who created Majin Buu!" Babidi said emerging from behind them. "I taught him everything he knows."

As the evil people began to chatter and ask Babidi questions one person spoke out. "So you must be the greatest fighter!"

"Perhaps I'll give you a lesson some day." Babidi said turning to walk away. "Damn you Majin Buu. How could you do this to me? I hope you explode! Defeat him Goku!"

Buu formed himself into a ball and started to smash into Goku. He quickly dodged and Buu went into the ground. As he started to tunnel through Goku jumped around trying to figure out where he was going to come up at. "He used that to destroy the lookout." Mae said as Buu came flying out of the ground right under Goku's feet.

Buu laughed as Goku began to falter. "Buu's strength is astounding." Vegeta muttered.

"No point in trying to conserve energy." Goku said bringing his hands to his side. As Buu flew down to attack Goku yelled, "ka-me-ha-me-HA!"

Goku dropped to his knees. The pieces of Buu that survived started to reform only this time the formed many Buus. Goku swore under his breath as he tried to power up again but all of his energy was gone and he went back to his base form. As the buus started to launch a barrage of energy blasts Mae and Vegeta flew to him.

As the smoke cleared the watched Goku stagger before collapsing to the ground. "Kakarot I'm here!" Vegeta said as they landed.

"Dad!" Mae said, worry laced her voice as she knelt next to him.

"I know it's your turn but why don't I step in. Unless you are done eating dirt." Vegeta said.

"No you can go fight." Goku coughed. "Vegeta be careful."

"I will." Vegeta nodded. "Mae stay with Kakarot."

Vegeta flew up and the Buus grabbed on to him and tried to bring him down. Vegeta yelled as he unleashed his energy causing them to disintegrate. They reformed to make one Buu who began to dance mockingly. "You dare mock the prince of all saiyans?!" Vegeta roared as he went to attack. Buu dodged his punch with ease. As Vegeta continued to attack Buu dodged them all.

"This is bad." Mae whispered.

Buu started to dance again in front of Vegeta. "Damn you!" He yelled as he sent an energy beam blasting Buu's lower half.

Buu grinned as he rushed forward and kicked Vegeta into the cliff side. 'I'm no match for him.' Vegeta thought as Buu formed an energy ball ready to end the saiyan prince.

"No!" Mae yelled as she powered up. She jumped in front of Vegeta and knocked the energy away. "I won't let you take him from me again!" She yelled powering up to super saiyan three.

"I'm not done either." Goku said flying up to join Mae. "Let's beat him together." He too powered up to super saiyan three.

Mae and Goku flew together and started to attack Buu. Meanwhile, in Hell they watched the two of them send continuous attack. "Isn't that Vegeta's half breed pet?" Frieza asked in shock.

"I remember that brat. She tried to help Gohan. She was much weaker back then." Cell said equally amazed.

'Kakarot, you've always been like this.' Vegeta thought as he watched Goku and Mae fight. 'You've always wanted to push yourself to test your limits. You, a low class warrior, continued to grow stronger and stronger. You became the first super saiyan. Even when I achieved that form you continued to be stronger. I thought it came from your loved ones. Mae is just like you. I pushed her further to use her for my own gain. She's more like you than you know. The only thing I've given her is a cruelness. Kakarot, if you had trained her all those years ago would she be even stronger? She's surpassed me. I wondered if having her and having a family would further my own strength but it didn't. I was a saiyan warrior who killed for sport but you show mercy even to your foes. How can a saiyan fight like that? You are better than me, Kakarot. You are the best and I know that Mae will surpass us both.'
