"If Vegeta or Gohan were alive we could have done fusion." Goku said.

"Gohan isn't dead!" Mae snapped.

"Mae you know he's gone! You need to accept it." Goku told her.

"I can't." Mae dropped her head.

"You've always been able to feel him. If you can't now then it means he's gone." Piccolo said softly.

"What do I do?" Mae's voice cracked.

"We fight Majin Buu." Piccolo said.

Mae swallowed her sadness and looked at her father. "Explain this fusion."

"Well it's a merging technique performed between two people of similar size and power." Goku explained. "It makes it so one person can do what two people couldn't do alone."

"Piccolo, you did a merge with Nail didn't you?" Dende asked.

"Yea but he joined into my body. It was like I gained all his strength and wisdom." Piccolo said.

"That's the namekian fusion. This one is different, two people join together and form a whole new person with characteristics of both people." Goku continued. "Also this fusion is temporary. It only lasts about thirty minutes."

"Can't you and Mae fuse?" Krillin asked.

"I would rather die." Mae glared at him.

"It wouldn't work, she's too short. It only works with people of similar size." Goku said. "I don't think it would have worked out anyway. It takes about a week to learn and I'm only here for a day. Plus I've never actually done it since no one in the otherworld is similar enough to me."

"Hey I know!" Krillin exclaimed. "You are going back to otherworld. You could just fuse with Gohan or Vegeta when you get there."

"How will that help us?" Mae asked coldly. "What do we do with a dead fused person. It's not like he would be able to just zip back over here."

"Mae is right." Piccolo said. "Once Goku leaves he won't be able to return."

"Oh I guess I didn't think about that." Krillin deflated.

"What about the boys?" Mr. Popo said suddenly. "They are similar size and power, couldn't they do it?"

"Oh yea! That's a good idea!" Goku exclaimed. "I will do what I can while I'm here but after that I need you to train them, Mae."

"Me?" Mae asked startled. "I don't even know how to do this fusion thing."

"I'll teach you." Goku smiled. "I know you can train them."

"Fine." Mae sighed. "I'll do it."

"I think a lot of people are going to die." Krillin said sadly.

"I'm confident the boys can do this." Goku said. "Besides we can use the dragon balls to fix the damage."

At capsule corp Bulma and the others had gathered all seven dragon balls. "You remember what to say right?" Yamcha asked.

"Of course I do!" Bulma snapped at him.

"Okay so you mean to tell me a magical dragon is going to come out and revive all those people?" Videl was skeptical.

"Just watch." Chi-Chi said.

"Eternal dragon by your name I summon you forth, Shenron!" Bulma said and the sky went dark as the dragon emerged from the dragon balls.

"Huh why is it dark?" Krillin asked looking at the sky.

"Oh no! Bulma must have summoned Shenron!" Goku cried out.

"She saw Vegeta kill all those people." Mae said. "She must be trying to fix things."

"If two wishes are granted then we will have to wait a year to summon Shenron!" Dende said. "Goku you have to stop her."

"Right." Goku nodded bringing his fingers to his forehead. "Bulma where are you? I can't find her energy. Everything is so cloudy."

"How do I word this right?" Bulma wondered.

"State your first wish!" Shenron roared.

"I know!" Yamcha said. "Bring back everyone who died today except the really bad ones!"

"Your wish is granted!" Shenron said as his eyes glowed.

"There she is!" Goku said as he locked on to Bulma's energy. "Did you guys make a wish yet?!" Goku asked when he arrived.

"State your second wish!" Shenron commanded.

"Oh no! I'm too late!" Goku sighed.

"Goku!" Dende called to his mind. "Tell Shenron you want to save the second wish. We can use it later after four months." Goku repeated the words to Shenron and he disappeared.

"I need you all to come with me too the lookout." Goku said.

Kibito woke up in the crater that Vegeta left. "How am I here?" He remembered how Dabura had killed him. "I don't understand. Where is the Supreme Kai?" He looked around trying to find his master. "There I feel his energy!" He flew off to try and save the dying Kai.

Babidi and Majin Buu flew over a city. "Buu big hungry!" Buu said as he landed in the middle of the road.

"Buu where are you going?!" Babidi demanded.

Buu walked into a bakery and looked at all the cakes. "Buu so hungry! Buu want cake!"

"Hello there sir! Can we help you today?" A nice young woman tried to help.

Buu walked up to the display case and broke it open. He then grabbed the cakes and started to devour them. "So yummy! Buu want more!" He then broke through the wall and went to where they made the cakes and proceeded to eat them all.

"Majin Buu! Stop stuffing your face it's time to leave!" Babidi commanded. The police showed up and Babidi softened his tone, "Buu some men in blue are here to take your cakes."

"Buu no like that!" Buu stomped to the front of the store and blasted the police cars.

"Excellent!" Babidi laughed.

Kibito continued to scan the area for the Supreme Kai. "Master!" He said when he saw the Kai on the ground. "Still alive." He placed his hand on Shin's back and healed him.

Shin woke up and looked at his apprentice. "Kibito how are you still alive?"

"I'm not sure. I just woke up." Kibito shrugged. "I'm glad that you are alive."

"We have to go and find Gohan!" Shin said urgently and they took to the air.

"Majin Buu's power continues to grow." Kibito said. "Everything we feared has happened today."

"Do not fear. There is still a beacon of hope." Shin said. "That light lies with Gohan."

"There He is!" Kibito called as he spotted the fallen saiyan. He placed a hand on Gohan, "he's still alive but he's in a critical state."

"Let's wait to restore him until we are back at our world." Shin said.

"You mean to bring this earthling to the world of Kais?!" Kibito asked. "Not even the grand Kai is allowed on such hollowed ground!"

"We need to take Gohan with us." Shin said. "Let us go home." The Supreme Kai teleported Gohan and Kibito back to their world.

Goku brought everyone back to the lookout. Chi-Chi looked around and saw Mae. She rushed over to her daughter. "Oh Mae! You are alright!"

"Mom." Mae looked down, her breath caught in her throat.

"Where are your brothers?" Chi-Chi asked her. "Goku where are Goten and Gohan?"

Bulma looked around for her family as well, "where are Vegeta and Trunks?"

Goku swallowed hard, "Goten and Trunks are fine."

"And Gohan?" Chi-Chi asked.

"Gohan and Vegeta are..." Mae paused, she didn't realize how hard this would be. "They are both dead."

"Majin Buu killed them both." Goku said.

"You don't mean that!" Chi-Chi begged.

"I can't feel Gohan. Piccolo and Krillin saw Vegeta die." Mae trembled.

Chi-Chi fainted, her father catching her. Tears started to fall from Bulma's eyes. "Oh Vegeta."

Tears welled inside Videl's eyes, "Gohan is gone? I-I loved him."

"You all will need to take action." Korin said from behind them.

"Buu still hungry." Majin Buu complained.

"Hmm I have an idea on what you can eat." Babidi chuckled as they landed outside of a city.

"I'll go wake the boys now." Mr. Popo said.

Suddenly they all heard Babidi in their minds. "Hello people of Earth! I am the all knowing, all powerful wizard Babidi! I am telling you all to get ready for a show. I know that I'm disturbing your fun, however my fun was disturbed by three nuisances today. Take a good look at these three." Images of Piccolo, Goten, and Trunks appeared in their minds. "These three are the blame for any and all distractions. This is just a taste of what will happen if they continue to hide. Before you are images of myself and my pet, Majin Buu." Images of Babidi and Buu appeared. "Now look at this city. These citizens are about to get a close up preview of what is to come. Now Buu!"

"Buuu!" Majin Buu shouted and all of the people started to float into the air. "I ate all that cake. What do I wanna eat now? I know! I'll turn them into candy!" A beam shot out of his antenna and all of the people turned into balls of candy and flew into Buu's mouth.

"He ate them all!" Piccolo said in horror.

"Now is your chance to surrender." Babidi laughed as Buu crunched down on all the people.
