Mae smiled at the silver glow that surrounded Goku. "I'm putting my faith and trust in you, dad. You gotta win so our universe can survive. Now go kick his ass." Goku didn't say anything. He just gave her a short nod as he prepared to face Jiren.

"This is the third time Goku has done this." Krillin said in awe.

As if he could feel the power shift in the air Frieza finally woke up. "Damn it how could I have lost. Seems Goku is getting serious."

"Frieza you did well." Beerus said. "Now we can only hope that Goku can finish this."

"This is the absolute last chance he has." Whis explained. "Once that glow fades then everything will be decided. With Mae unable to move he has no one to help him and no way to heal."

Goku pushed against the ground and attacked Jiren. Their force cause the island they were standing on to explode. Mae fell, "Well I guess there are worse ways to go out." She laughed to herself. She closed her eyes and accepted her fate. Soon she would be in the stands with Gohan and Vegeta. She opened them one last time to see Jiren and Goku attacking each other with lighting speed.

"I've got you." Someone said as he wrapped his arms around her, carrying her back to the arena.

She looked at her savior and found android 17 staring back at her. "17? I thought you died!"

"Nah. Everyone is watching Goku and Jiren. So we need to hide out until time is up." He said. "Can you stand?"

"No." She shook her head. "I used all my energy fighting Jiren."

"I'll just have to carry you then." 17 said as he jumped out of the way. The force of their attacks was causing shockwaves around them.

"There's something wrong with his attacks." 17 said as he watched.

"Goku's attacks are sharper but he can't get in a solid hit." Piccolo said.

"It's like when he fought Kefla." Krillin said.

"He's still thinking through his attacks, trying to figure out what would be most effective." Whis explained. "These thoughts dull his attacks while using ultra instinct. Hopefully he can avoid waiting time and energy without landing an effecting strike."

"Do you think he can win?" 17 asked Mae as he jumped back giving them cover.

"I'm sure he can." Mae said. "He's always pushing himself further and further. If anyone were to win this thing it would be him. He is truly amazing when it comes to fighting."

"You've got a good point there." 17 said as he looked back to the fight.

Goku knew he needed to end this in one strike. As he jumped from rubble to rubble he readied his attack. "Ka-me-ha-me," he jumped up and once he was in front of Jiren he unleashed the attack. "HA!" His blast was so strong that the energy beams shot through the arena and were coming up on various places.

Jiren held his hand out using his own energy to deflect Goku's. "By watching his fight with Kefla you saw through his attack!" Toppo said in awe.

Jiren unleashed the ball of energy sending Goku flying. "Woah! Woah! Amazing! Amazing!" The Zen-Ohs cheered.

"He didn't take a direct hit." Mae said as Goku began to fall.

"How?" 17 asked.

"He used the flow of his energy to deflect Jiren's." Mae said. She wished that she could do something to help.

"There's no need to fear." Belmod sighed. "Goku's offensive is no good. Universe eleven is sure to win."

"It's only a matter of time." Their Kai agreed.

"He simply can't win with an incomplete ultra instinct." Belmod smiled.

"That's garbage." Vegeta said. "If it's incomplete then that means there's something beyond his current power. When did the gods become so hasty they would overlook something like that and decide the outcome."

"Do you really think Goku will master ultra instinct?" Belmod asked him. "Will he really be able to surpass Jiren? It's impossible."

"Don't underestimate saiyans." Vegeta said glaring at the god. "You've seen it for yourself. Time and time again we saiyans have surpassed our limits."

"Tch, Jiren end this now!" Belmod commanded.

"Kakarot!" Vegeta yelled, "don't forget that I put my pride, my promise in your hands. Defeat is unacceptable!"

Goku took a deep breath in and exhaled slowly. He flipped around and righted himself before launching back at Jiren. He maintained control as he attacked and blocked. He steadied his heart and his breathing. He knew he needed to go further than where he was. All he could feel was himself and Jiren.

"He's just back to where he started." Frieza pointed out.

"Is he in trouble?" Krillin asked nervously.

Goku closed his eyes and let his energy surge. Whis smiled, "there isn't anything to worry about. I can feel his rise in energy. It's not from confusion it's from pure impulse. He is focusing his heart and soul on the fight itself. He's allowing that to heat himself up intensely." Whis continued. "Fear, hesitation, and panic are turned to nothing in the flames. All he can feel is himself, his opponent, and the fight. Soon he will become so hot so fast that even that will dim into nothing until he finds a state deeper than instinct."

Goku's heat grew, Mae and 17 shielded themselves from it. As his heat reached the stands Universe eleven's Kai began to worry. "What is this heat?!"

"It doesn't matter!" Belmod jumped up. "Hurry up Jiren! Knock Son Goku off!"

Jiren punched Goku sending him flying down. He turned and landed on a small floating island. Jiren sent a surge of attacks more ferocious than before. The shockwaves from his punches kept Goku on the defensive. He had no where to run and everyone started to worry that Goku would fall. "Shut up and watch." Beerus growled ending their chattering.

"17, put me down. I need to see." Mae said. He put her down and Mae staggered to the edge of the arena. She braced herself for the waves of power. "He will find a way. I know it."

"We had no reason to worry." Their Kai said relieved.

"Either he runs out of strength or his footing gives way." Belmod said in agreement.

"Are those sparks?" Toppo asked looking closer.

"He's fighting back." Mae said as she saw where their fists were connecting. They were both moving so fast that it was a blur but the sparks were proof.

Goku raised his hands as he made the switch from defense to offense. He opened his eyes and looked straight up at Jiren as his attack reached him. Jiren was knocked back by the force of his punch and Goku let out a war cry. Suddenly there was a flash of light and it was if a galaxy opened up beneath him.

"Amazing." Mae breathed at the beauty of his energy.

"Woah! Goku is super super amazing!" The Zen-Ohs marveled.

"This is quite the interesting development." The Grand Priest nodded.

"So you've released this much energy and heat just to face me." Jiren said as a smile grew on his face. "I suppose I should respond." His red aura shot out around him as he powered up.

"Jiren end Goku with your absolute unstoppable power!" Belmod commanded.

"It ends with this." Jiren said as he formed a ball of energy. As he unleashed the energy Goku sucked in all the energy that was around him. He leaped as the energy was coming for him. With a flash and an explosion Goku managed to get behind Jiren again. He held the ball of energy in his hand before breaking it.

Goku's hair had turned completely silver as he turned around. Jiren went in for an attack but Goku dodged it and attacked back hitting him multiple times. Mae was in such awe that she didn't have the words. Jiren turned again to attack but Goku hit him six times in a single instant before knocking him to the side. The destroyers all stood up.

"Whis, he's finally reached it hasn't he." Beerus asked.

"Yes." Whis nodded.

"He's mastered Ultra instinct." Beerus said as a grin came across his face.

"Yes." Whis said again.

"Our universe still has a chance then." Beerus laughed.
