Goku and Mae watched in horror as Zamasu struck Gowasu down. "That's the proof we needed. Whis it's time." Beerus said to his attendant.

"Yes my lord." Whis touched his staff to the ground twice reversing time by three minutes. "I see you've forgotten my time reversal."

Goku and Mae sighed in relief as Whis made a mitten and transported them back to where Zamasu and Gowasu were. Just before Zamasu struck the supreme Kai, Whis slipped the mitten over his hand rendering the attack useless.

"Zamasu? What is that?" Gowasu stood and turned to his apprentice.

"What I don't..." Zamasu stuttered before backing up into Lord Beerus.

"Lord Beerus, I thought you had left." Gowasu said in surprise.

"We were going to but is seems your apprentice was trying to end your life." Beerus said glaring at Zamasu.

"In fact if I hadn't put that mitten on him in time then you would be dead." Whis said to the supreme Kai.

"Zamasu! What is the meaning of this?!" Gowasu demanded as the mitten broke apart to show Zamasu's energy blade.

"Fine it's true. I needed you out of my way so I could go about my plans for divine justice." Zamasu explained his evil intentions.

"I thought we had put that to bed!" Gowasu said.

"Perhaps you did but I have never been more clear about my divine mission." Zamasu smiled mischievously.

"Just what does that mean?!" Gowasu asked. He couldn't believe the words his pupil was saying.

When Zamasu refused to answer, Shin did. "Zamasu plans to kill you for the time ring then use that to find the super dragon balls and wish for invincibility. Then once he has that he will wish for a counterfeit Goku and then begin his path of destruction."

"Zuno must have told you a lot but I'm surprised how you figured out the rest of my plan." Zamasu narrowed his eyes at the Kai.

"We've seen the future." Mae said stepping forward.

"We've seen the destruction and chaos you have caused!" Goku said following his daughter.

"So then my dreams have come true in the future! All I need to do is get rid of you meddlers then they will become true in this reality as well!" Zamasu laughed as he brought his energy blade down at Mae.

Beerus stepped in front of her and grabbed the Kai's hand. "Your time is over Kai." Within an instant Zamasu had been destroyed. "I hope that next time you choose your apprentice more wisely." He said turning to Gowasu.

Shortly after, they left returning to earth. When they arrived Whis crashed them into the ground. "Ow ow ow!" Mae said picking herself up.

"Now I know you are doing that on purpose!" Beerus groaned at his attendant.

"Ow Whis that really hurt!" Goku chimed in. "I knew we should've had the supreme Kai take us home."

Whis laughed as the three of them picked themselves up and went to meet with Trunks, who was surprised to learn that Zamasu had been destroyed. While everyone thought that his future would be safe, Trunks had a different idea.

"When we fought the androids my future stayed the same." He explained.

"Maybe nothing changes when lowly mortals mess with time but when I kill a god it will effect all time lines." Beerus crossed his arms and snorted.

"I want to believe you but I will just have to see for myself." Trunks said looking to the ground.

"So you aren't going to take the word of a god?!" Beerus growled. "You certainly are hard headed. I swear what is wrong with you saiyans?!" He continued as Whis led him away.

"I think it's time to leave my lord." Whis sighed in exasperation.

"Well maybe things haven't changed, but they also might have. Either way I have the time machine fueled and ready for you." Bulma said handing her son the capsule. "Before you go let's have a meal. You need your strength."

"Thanks mom but I'm not hungry." Trunks said solemnly.

Goku wrapped his arm around Trunks, "come on eat with us!"

Mae looked eagerly at Trunks, "it's just a meal and it's not like the future is going anywhere. It is time travel after all."

"Okay you're right." Trunks finally agreed.

"Whis I think we could stay for a meal. I'll even forget my anger!" Beerus said slightly drooling.

Bulma had a feast laid out for them. Mae filled her plate and began eating. Like her father and Vegeta, she could eat a lot more than the average human could. When she noticed that Trunks wasn't eating she stopped and looked at him. "Trunks make sure you eat."

"You gotta feed that tum-tum!" Goku said in between bites. "Plus I'm excited to go back. Even if there is the slightest chance that nothing has changed I want to fight Zamasu again." Mae nodded in agreement she too wanted to fight and get her payback.

"We have no plan. We shouldn't just charge in there without knowing how to beat them." Vegeta said uncharacteristically.

"Vegeta you think we should be cautious? That's not like you, besides I'll make sure to bring the senzu beans." Goku said standing up.

"Father is right. We really can't afford to lose if my future isn't changed." Trunks said.

When they finished the meal Goku, Trunks, and Mae prepared to go back into the future. "I still think I'm right." Beerus said picking his teeth.

"You are still on about that? Why don't you just come with us then." Mae said to the destroyer.

"You mortals might be okay with breaking natural laws but I will not." Beerus glared at the saiyan.

"I don't understand why you are so upset! You have a god telling you that the future is different!" The younger Trunks yelled at his future self.

"That may be but if the future has changed then why am I still here?" Trunks said kneeling down to his younger self. He then went on to explain how time travel split the time lines and how it effected their future and not his. Even though Trunks has the same biology they aren't the same person because they each had a different up bringing. "When I came back the first time to give Goku medicine he was still dead when I went home. Also the androids are different here than in my own time line. 18 has a family here but in my future she and 17 caused chaos and destruction. When I went back after dealing with Cell I had to destroy them both."

"So that's why you are so worried then." The younger Trunks said finally understanding.

"Lord Beerus I'm sorry for being disrespectful in not believing you. I'm just going off what I've experienced. However I do have hope, I don't know how a deity can affect time." Trunks bowed to the god.

"Yea yea whatever. Whis I want to leave now." Beerus yawned.

"Father will you come with us?" Trunks said turning to Vegeta.

"Fine but if your future is fine then I don't want you coming back here, understand?" Vegeta scowled.

"I do, father." Trunks said as he tossed the capsule onto the ground causing the time machine to pop out.

"Dad you have the senzu beans right?" Mae asked her father.

Goku patted himself down, "where are they? Vegeta do you have them?"

"What?! Why would I have them?!" Vegeta gave a confused look to Goku.

"You're hopeless." Bulma sighed handing Goku the bag of beans. "Also I'm coming with you!"

"What?!" The three saiyans said at the same time.

"What if something happens to the machine or it can't auto pilot back. I'm the only one who knows this baby inside and out." Bulma said knocking on the time machine.

"Okay well let's go!" Trunks said as they piled into the cramped time machine.

"There's even less room now!" Mae said sitting on her father's lap again. Bulma was in-between her and Vegeta.

"Hopefully the future is different!" Trunks said as the time machine flew up and transported them to the future.

"Dad if you get sick on me I'm going to be mad." Mae said as her father was getting more and more motion sick.

When they arrived they saw that nothing had changed. Trunks landed the machine and opened the top causing Mae and Goku to fall out onto the ground.

"Damn it! Nothing has changed! I guess not even a deity could fix this." Trunks balled his fists in anger. "Mom I'm giving you this to hang on to." He said handing his mother the capsule that the time machine was in.

"Ow Mae did you have to fall on me?" Goku said as he and his daughter got up.

"Oh yea like I wanted to." Mae rolled her eyes.

"Commander Trunks! You really did come back! Come quickly Mai has been injured." A soldier came running towards them. As they quickly returned to their base the soldier filled them in on what had happened. Black injured Mai as she was trying to help people flee.

They ran into the base and saw Mai laying on a pad she was clearly dying. "Goku a senzu bean!" Trunks held his hand out as he scooped Mai up in his other arm.

"Right!" Goku said handing him a bean.

Trunks put the bean in his mouth and crushed it up then put his mouth on hers to fed her the bean. "Mai please wake up." He said pulling his lips from hers. "Sorry Goku, now there are only four beans left."

"It's okay we will manage, but hey what's that weird thing you are doing? You put your lips on hers!" Goku asked suddenly.

Mae, Trunks, and Vegeta looked at Goku in surprise. "Do you mean kissing?!" Mae asked.

"Yea what is that?" Goku asked innocently.

"Kakarot! You are married and have three children and you don't know what kissing is?!" Vegeta asked in shock.

"What does that have to do with anything?" Goku was still confused.

Mae blushes slightly as Vegeta and Goku argued. Even though she had never kissed anyone she at least knew what it was. She turned to look back at Trunks and Mai, the girl slowly opened her eyes and looked around her.

Trunks' eyes filled with tears and he smiled softly to her, "Mai I'm here."

"Trunks," she whispered sitting up.

"Hey do you feel that?" Mae said as she sensed Zamasu's energy.

"Yea I do. Zamasu is coming." Vegeta said furrowing his eyebrows.

"Black is with him too. We should go and meet them." Goku said. "Bulma, you stay here with Mai and the others!"

The four saiyans ran out to find Zamasu and Black. When they saw them coming Vegeta suddenly went super saiyan blue and flew right at Zamasu and Black. "Vegeta wait! What about the plan?!" Goku reached out to him.

"Screw the plan!" Vegeta yelled back. He stopped just in front of Zamasu and Black.

"Wow Vegeta you must be anxious to get beaten again." Black laughed.

"You won't be beating me this time. I'm only here for my son!" Vegeta glared at them.

"We know what you did!" Mae yelled.

"Oh?" Zamasu asked as he and Black landed in front of them.

Vegeta landed back next to Mae and said, "we also know how you made yourself invincible."

"Yea! You use the super dragon balls to make yourself invincible after killing Gowasu!" Goku explained.

"Then you wish for a fake Goku!" Mae spat at them. She could feel her hatred rising up inside her.

"Hahaha! That's where you are mistaken saiyans! This body is 100% Goku's all the way down to the last battle scar. It did take a while for me to get used to it but oh I did." He grinned evilly.

"My body?!" Goku was shocked.

"Do you want to know what the first thing I did when I got your body?" Blacks grin twisted. When the four saiyans remained silent he said, "I killed you with your own hand."
