"So Mae, are you going to tell me what you're hiding?"

"I'm not hiding anything." Mae said nearly choking on her water.

"You do realize that I've known you long enough to know when you are lying." Vegeta scowled it wasn't like her to keep secrets from him.

"Well I can assure you that there's nothing." Mae stammered. "Anyway, I gotta go see Krillin and 18, see ya later!"

Before Vegeta could say anything she was already in the air. She felt a pang of guilt deep in her stomach. She hated lying especially to Vegeta, but Gohan made her promise not to tell anyone about the universes being erased. Before she knew it she was at Krillin's house. She paused before knocking so she could collect herself. Slowly, she knocked on the door and was greeted by Android 18.

"Oh hey Mae what brings you here?" 18 asked as she brushed her hair back.

"Is Krillin here with my dad?" Mae asked as she walked inside.

"No, not yet. Krillin is still at work." 18 said.

"Mae!" Marron came running up.

"Hello little one," Mae squatted down and patted her blonde hair. The little girl looked so much like Krillin but she had her mother's hair.

"Did you come to visit my mommy?" Marron asked brightly.

"I'm actually here to see your mommy and daddy!" She smiled at the little girl.

"Marron, why don't you go play while we wait for daddy." 18 smiled softly. "Mae would you like some tea?"

They didn't wait long before Krillin, Gohan, and Goku finally showed up. After exchanging pleasantries they sat down and explained the Tournament of Power to Krillin and 18.

"So that's why we are here we need ten members." Mae said.

"Won't you enter Krillin?" Goku asked smiling at his friend.

"Hmm, I don't know," Krillin pondered.

"I think you should. This is why you bought all that training equipment right." 18 said to her husband.

"Okay then if you think I should then I will!" Krillin said.

"18 we also would like you to enter." Gohan said.

"No." 18 said flatly.

"Why not?!" Mae asked urgently.

"Because I have Marron and I'm not going to do this for free." 18 said.

"You can leave Marron with Bulma. It's a really fun place!" Goku said trying to persuade her.

"This is just a game right. What aren't you telling me." 18 glared at Goku.

"Well the thing is the winner gets 10 million zeni." Goku laughed nervously.

"That's only one million each." 18 pointed out.

"No it's 10 million each." Goku said.

"Fine then I'll enter too." 18 smiled at them.

"Awesome!" Mae said excitedly.

"Krillin, I want to spar with you." Gohan said narrowing his eyes. "Dad says you've gotten stronger but if it's okay with you, I would like to see for myself."

"Sure we can do that, Gohan." Krillin agreed.

They found a rocky place near the sea. Gohan and Krillin each stood on a rock pillar as Mae, Goku, 18, and Marron sat in the grass nearby. She could taste the salt in the air as the cool breeze blew through her hair. She was excited so see her twin fighting again.

"Gohan is acting too serious for this to just be a tournament." 18 said as she watched her husband take a fighting position.

"I think he just wants the 100 million zeni!" Goku said.

"100? I thought it was only 10, something is definitely up." 18 said leaning closer to the saiyans.

"He's just got mixed up is all!" Mae said trying to correct Goku's carelessness.

"Mhmm," 18 eyed them skeptically before turning her attention back to Krillin. Mae shot Goku a look telling him to get it together.

"You can win daddy!" Marron cheered.

Gohan looked over at them and Krillin used that moment to attack him. Mae shook her head and laughed at how easily his guard was dropped. After Krillin got a few punches in he flew up into the air in front of the sun. "Solar Flare!" He shouted and the bright light enveloped everything. Mae tried to shield her eyes from the bright light but it wasn't enough. 18 handed her and Goku sunglasses but the light was still immensely bright. Krillin used that cover to go in for a ring out sending Gohan into the water below. "Haha I won!" Krillin cheered.

They flew over to meet Gohan and Krillin, "good job Krillin!" Goku praised his friend.

"What was that?" Mae asked.

"That's my new technique, Solar Flare x 100!" Krillin said proudly.

"Krillin I admit defeat. It seems I really am inexperienced." Gohan said bowing.

"Hey Gohan, let's both get stronger okay!" Krillin said smiling at the saiyan.

"Right!" Gohan nodded and clasped Krillin's forearm.

"Krillin I want to fight you too." Goku said suddenly. Goku led them to the top of Satan Building. Krillin and Goku stood together on the helipad.

"Dad, Mae and I will stop you if you go to far." Gohan said seriously.

"Krillin are you sure you want to do this? Aren't you tired from fighting Gohan?" 18 asked with concern. "This is Goku we are talking about!"

"It'll be okay 18!" Krillin assured his wife.

"Is daddy going to win?" Marron asked her mother. 18 smiled at her daughter not sure what to say.

"We will be using the same rules as the Tournament of Power!" Mae announced to them.

As Goku and Krillin took their positions it started to rain. "A sudden shower?" Gohan said looking up at the darkening sky. 18 handed her daughter an umbrella while the others embraced the rain.

"Destructo Disc!" Krillin yelled as he formed three discs that went flying at Goku.

"It'll take more than that to knock me out!" Goku said as he punched through the discs at super saiyan. Goku fired his own energy blasts at Krillin who ran and hid behind some debris. "Come on out Krillin!"

"Solar fla..." Krillin started the attack but then stopped as Goku rushed him. Krillin jumped back and smirked.

"Whaa?!" Goku said as a hole opened up beneath him.

"Oh I see what he did!" Mae said as she watched the battle intently.

"In this tournament strategy is key. If you rush in without a plan you will surely lose." 18 said.

Goku jumped up going super saiyan blue. "What will you do now?"

"Super saiyan blue!" Krillin stammered, his hands and legs were shaking from the sheer power that was coming off Goku. "I figured this was coming. I've seen this before but it's different standing against it."

"Krillin is definitely at a power disadvantage." Gohan said.

"One on one there really isn't anything he can do." 18 scowled.

"Ka-me-ha-me-ha!" The two fighters said at the same time. Their energy beams clashed together and it was apparent that Goku's was stronger. Krillin didn't give in and he gritted his teeth and pushed even harder giving it every thing he had. Goku returned his own power back and it started to over take Krillin's.

Suddenly 18 jumped in and grabbed Krillin just before the blast hit him. "Goku! This isn't some all out fight! There are rules and you could have killed Krillin!"

Krillin fell on his butt and looked down at his arms which were shaking from the raw power, "it feels like I've been electrocuted."

"This tournament is a battle royal! You won't always be fighting opponents one on one! If you want you can have Mae or Gohan join you." 18 said as she stepped into her own fighting stance.

"No that's okay." Goku dropped from his blue form and the sky started to lighten as the rain faded. "It seems like I needed to learn something. I suppose I didn't really understand this tournament after all." Goku walked over to Krillin and helped him up. "Thank you Krillin, you really are my best friend."

"So does this mean that I win?" Krillin asked with a cocky grin.

"What?! No!" Goku stammered.

"Well you did give up." Mae said as she, Marron, and Gohan walked over to them.

"Daddy and Mommy won together!" Marron said running to her parents.

"Ahh fine. I suppose you win this time." Goku laughed.

"By the way, 18 have you heard from android 17 recently?" Mae asked.

"Oh, yea I talked to him the other day. He's working on a wildlife reserve but I'm not sure where." 18 told them.

"You know the gods see a lot, maybe Dende knows where he is." Krillin said.

"Great! Mae let's go ask Dende where he is!" Goku said turning to his daughter.

"Right!" Mae said lifting into the air. "See you guys later!" Goku, Mae, and Gohan started to head towards the lookout.

"Mae, Dad, I'm going to go see Piccolo and tell him about the tournament." Gohan said as they were flying.

"Good idea. I'm sure Piccolo will be interested." Goku nodded to his son. "Tell him I say hey!"

"Right! I'll catch up with you guys later!" Gohan waved as he went off in another direction.

"Let's hurry and get to Dende's!" Mae said.

"Let's go!" Goku said as he and Mae pushed themselves faster.
