"You're Bulma Briefs, right?" Bethy asked as Bulma inspected the teleporter.

"Yea. Who are you?" Bulma asked.

"My names Bethy. Why do you keep calling that girl Mae?" Bethy asked.

"Because that's her real name. This dark side of her has decided to call herself Drae." Bulma explained. "How did you get here anyway?"

"I ran into her on the street and she looked like she needed help. Then she killed some people and now I'm here. I'm afraid she's gonna kill me so I've just been doing what she says." Bethy said, her hands trembling.

"Hey it's okay. My husband and her father are gonna sort this out." Bulma reassured her. Suddenly a crash on the other side of the city got their attention. They ran out onto the patio and saw smoke coming from a collapsing building as two people fought.

"I thought we weren't involving the city!" Goku yelled as he flew back up.

"I changed my mind." Drae said blocking his kick.

"Why are you doing this?" Goku asked as she went to kick him in the stomach. He blocked it with his knee.

"The question isn't why. It's why not?" Drae grinned. "These people are so pathetic they can't even protect themselves so why not have some fun."

"You aren't this cruel." Goku scowled going in for an attack.

Drae dodged him and flew down to the people. "I'll show you how cruel I can be." She grabbed a man by his throat and lifted him up. "Tell me, would you rather fall to your death or be crushed to death?"

"Mae put him down!" Goku commanded.

"It's Drae! Now let the man speak!" Drae said turning her attention to her hostage. "So what'll it be?"

"F-falling." The man said quickly.

"Good choice." Drae said as she flew up. Once they were high enough she dropped him. As he was falling Goku saved him and she shot an energy beam killing him.

"Why?!" Goku asked holding the man. "You didn't have to kill him!"

Drae picked at her nails almost bored. "You're right I didn't have to. The point is that I could. Aren't you curious how I got back here?"

Goku put the man down, "I'm guessing Zain brought you back."

Drae flashed a lethal smile, "not quite. I stole the teleportation device. I left as his world crumbled and fell. I'm the one who destroyed it and I did it with the kamehameha."

"You killed millions of innocent people?!" Goku couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Oh they were far from innocent. They had a whole plan to take over the universe. If anything I did the universe a favor." Drae said bringing her hands up.

"How could you?" Goku looked at his daughter. "This isn't who you are."

"No shit!" Drae laughed. "You idiot I've been telling you this whole time. The Mae you know is dead. I smothered her with darkness and killed her."

"Fine. I will have to defeat you." Goku frowned. "Kaioken!" His blue aura was surrounded by red.

"I'm ready for round two." Drae said holding her hand up. "You better take this otherwise more people will die! Big Bang Attack!"

Goku brought his hands up over his face as her energy ball connected with him. 'She's so strong.' He thought as he flew forward.

Drae unleashed more power as they connected. "If you think you can win you are wrong." She said smashing him into the ground. Once she had him pinned she began sending blow after blow. He couldn't block or get out from under her.

"That's enough!" Goku yelled as he sent a wave of energy out, knocking her back.

"Just give up." Drae smirked forming her aura blades. She drew her foot forward and leaned back on her other one.

"I won't." Goku frowned as he ran forward. He ducked as she swiped out, slicing a couple strands of hair. Once he was in close he attempted to punch her in the stomach.

"Nice try." Drae said as her knee blocked the attack. She grabbed him by the hair and slammed him into the ground. She held out her hand and formed a ball of energy. "You're done." She blasted him and he dropped his form.

Gohan landed in front of her. "Dad!" He ran forward and Drae kicked her father to him.

"Your turn." She grinned.

"I'm not going to fight you." Gohan said.

"You don't have a choice." Drae said. Suddenly an idea formed in her head. "I know what will make you fight."

"What are you going to do?" Gohan asked.

She blasted him with an energy beam and once he was on his knees she took off towards his home. "I bet I can train her better than you can!" Drae laughed as she flew off.

"Pan!" Gohan got up and took off after his twin. He couldn't match her speed and he knew she would be there soon.

Drae landed in front of Gohan's house and kicked in the door. "Videl are you here?" She called.

"Mae?" Videl asked as she entered the hall.

"Not quite. Where's Pan." Drae asked cocking her head.

"No!" Videl yelled and ran to Pan's room.

"I guess we are doing this the hard way." Drae sighed as she walked in and down the hall. She entered the room and saw Videl clutching her child.

"Stay back!" Videl yelled.

"Give her to me now." Drae commanded.

"I won't let you take her!" Videl snapped holding her daughter closer.

"Fine then I'll take her from your corpse." Drae spat as she held her hand up.

'GET AWAY FROM THEM!' Mae roared inside their head.

"Shut up!" Drae yelled grabbing her head.

Mae powered up to super saiyan. Her golden light lashing at the darkness around her. 'Don't you touch them!'

"I'm in control not you!" Drae snapped falling to her knees. She shoved more darkness at Mae trying to drown her.

"Mae?" Videl asked as she watched Drae fight with herself.

"Damn it all!" Drae yelled as she blasted the wall and flew away.

Shortly after Gohan arrived and found Videl and Pan. "Did she hurt you?!"

"No we are fine. Something happened, I think Mae is still in there." Videl said as she explained what happened.

"I'm going to see Whis. Maybe he has an idea on what's happening." Gohan said. "I want you to take Pan and head to the lookout. You two should be safe there."

"Okay, I think there is a chance you can save her." Videl said to her husband.

Drae flew back to the penthouse, as far as she could tell Vegeta and Goku had run away. "Dad must have still been conscious. Oh well I'll kill them soon enough." She said as she entered the suite.

"Mae you're back!" Bulma said.

"I told you it's Drae. Did you fix the machine?" Drae asked.

"No I think I need to be in my lab." Bulma said.

"I'm not an idiot. You will fix it here." Drae said as she grabbed a bag and the dragon radar.

"Why are you gathering the dragon balls?" Bulma asked.

"Shut up." Drae said as she flew off.

Gohan flew back to Capsule Corp and found Goku and Vegeta. Both were battered but alive, "she went after Pan." He said as he landed.

"Did she get her?" Goku asked.

"No Videl said something weird happened." Gohan told them everything.

"How interesting." Whis said from behind them.

"Whis do you think you can help us?" Gohan asked. "She mentioned a prophecy regarding us and the dagger."

"Hmm let me see." Whis said looking into his staff. "Ah yes here. A pair of half saiyan twins will be born. The male chooses his other half while the female walks the path of the saiyan. As she grows so too does her darkness. With the dagger her darkness will be given new life. The one who holds the dagger controls the saiyan. When the twins meet in battle one will give their life and when the blood touches the earth they both shall lose."

"What does that mean?" Gohan asked.

"Basically I think you are going to make a sacrifice and the dagger needs to break." Whis explained. "An ancient, powerful relic like that won't be easy to break."

"We need help." Gohan said turning to Goku and Vegeta.

Before the two saiyans could answer Shin showed up. "I've seen what's happening with Mae and I want to help."

"How?" Vegeta asked.

"Here," Shin said giving them the potara. "If Goku and Vegeta fuse then you might be able to defeat her."

"I'm not fusing with Kakarot." Vegeta said crossing his arms.

"Thanks supreme kai." Gohan said. "You should leave. It would be bad if Mae came after you."

"I doubt she would." Whis said. "She knows that if she goes after the supreme kai she would be going after Lord Beerus and well I don't think that's a fight she wants to have."

"You're right." Goku said. "She won't take on a god."

"I hope you're right." Gohan said. "We need to call Jiren."

"I told you we don't need his help!" Vegeta snapped.

"Both of you lost! You can't beat her on your own!" Gohan snapped back. "We need his help! Plus he might be the only one with the strength to break the knife."

"He's right." Goku said. "Okay so Vegeta and I will fuse and buy you some time to find Jiren."

"Damn it. Fine I'll fuse with you." Vegeta said taking the potara. "This is to save Mae, understand!"

"Thanks Vegeta, Dad." Gohan said he wasn't sure what he would have to sacrifice but he would do anything to save his twin.

"We will get her back." Goku said. "Besides if Mae really is still in there we just have to give her a chance to get control."
