Chapter 6: Hanna's training lesson
Hiccup
Hanna and Astrid been closer than before. Normally they wouldn't dare make eye contact or talking to one other.
"Something is so weird going on here, Dad." I said to the old chief of Berk, walking back and forth in the Great hall.
"Aw, come on, Hic. I guess that this is a great opportunity to find a way to defeat the Village of Dragons!" He said, grinning.
"Yeah, you're probably right. I mean Hanna will be a Chief one day but how will she manage it if I don't show her how?"
"Maybe I should show her." Dad suggested, "You got a lot in your plate right now, Chief."
I laughed a little and smiled. Perhaps that talking to my Dad for advice is a good thing.
I wished that Mom would've seen it. She was killed by one of the Dragons from the Village of Dragons and forced me and Astrid to watch over Hanna alone.
I never told Hanna about how her grandmother died, it was hard for me.
Astrid
Ever since I found out about Hanna's secret double life, things were kind of interesting.
Hanna was in the blacksmith shop, sharping a sword for Gobber.
"So, do you feel anything different since the Tattoo showed up?" I asked.
"Not a thing. It's not that easy to hide it from all of Berk and Hiccup." She replied, "Besides, I don't know how to fight with my sword."
I thought for a moment then an idea formed in my head.
"Maybe there is a way we can do that." I said.
Hanna looks at me strangely as we enter the Cove.
"Uh, why we back in the Cove, Astrid?"
Suddenly her sword appears as I predict it.
"We are doing some training." I replied, raising my axe.
She was shocked. "Wait, you're serious?"
Hanna
Wow, Training with my own mom? We haven't done anything like this since I was twelve!
"Wait, you're serious?" I ask her.
"Yeah, I'm serious, Hon. Let's see how you fight me." She smirks.
"I'm not making it easy on you, Mom." I said, raising my sword.
"Give it your best shot, Warrior." She said, and our training session has begun.
We fight and it was so much fun and Astrid gave me skillful tips for battling.
After the lesson was over, we decided to take a break.
"Wow, Hanna, I'm impressed of how quickly you moved with your sword."
I blushed, "I learn from you, I guess."
As we laughed, I noticed Toothless.
Toothless
I saw Astrid and Hanna chilling in the cove. They seemed to be resting.
"Hey, Toothless!" Hanna greets me.
"Hey yourself. What you guys doing in the Cove anyway? Would Hiccup would be suspious of where you been?" I asked.
Hanna said, "Hiccup still hasn't got a clue that we are here. Actually, Mom and I just finished our training."
"Training?" I asked, looking confused.
"You know, for fighting against the Dragon Queen." Astrid answered for her.
"Wow, that sounds like so much fun. I wished that I could've seen it." I said.
"So, what news to you bring since we find out about the Dragon Queen?" Hanna asks, changing the subject.
"Nothing so far, Hanna but I'm a little bit nervous. If the Prophecy was real, are you sure you can handle battling her?"
Hanna shrugged, "It's worth a risk. Toothless, you know that she is held responsible for making both of our tribes to kill one other. I'm not letting a Viking or Dragon get injured ever again."
I chuckled. "I figured you would say something like that, Han."
"So, ready for flying, bud?" Hanna asks as her sword disappears.
"You bet! I'm dying to try out the new tail you made for me!" I said as she holds something.
"This is going to be your saddle. It's going to be attached to your tail. We can be able to control your flying that way so we can't bump into trees or something." Hanna explains.
"How did you have time to build that?" Astrid asks as Hanna straps the saddle.
Hanna replied, "Woke up before dawn. Couldn't sleep."
She sat on the saddle and pats me, "Ready?"
We flew off into the sky.
