Once the crew were safe they saw a pod of whales. They decided to begin watching the whales for the time being, which rubbed Sanji the wrong way.

"Hey you idiots! Don't just stand around!" He hissed. "We gotta make sure no one fell off! Okay, Nami?!"

"I'm here." The navigator called from the second floor of the deck.

"Robin?!"

"I'm fine." Robin stated plainly from the first floor of the deck.

"Kari?!" Sanji froze as Kari's voice was not heard. "KARI?!"

"Shut up. I'm right here." Kari yawned while exiting the infirmary. Chase close behind. The two looked tired, yet they looked better than they did before. Sanji sighed in relief and put his right thumb up.

"Alright! Everyone's here!" He called.

"Sanji, I'm sorry to say but there are seven more on board!" Usopp whined.

Chopper was next to him, sniffling. "Count us too!" He called. Brook just chuckled in the background while playing some soothing music for Kari, who was laying next to him curled up into a ball. She looked peaceful. Sanji huffed then shrugged off what Usopp and Chopper said while watching the whales, since Nami said it was okay. Brook, now knowing Kari was asleep, rushed over in attempt to find family members of a dear friend of his named Laboon. He played songs for the whales and they happily helped the crew surface. Brook happily hung onto the thought that those whales were related to his friend in someway. Once the Thousand Sunny had surfaced Kari and Chase were back to normal, as if nothing had happened, and began helping out around the ship as best as they could. Though Robin kept a close eye on the two. Chase then looked around and gasped happily.

"No way! I know these waters!" He wagged his tail happily. Everyone looked at him in confusion. "We're on route to my home island!" He jumped for joy. "Man I haven't been home in forever!" He chuckled. Kari blinked a few times in shock while everyone just stared with dropped jaws, Robin was just wide eyed. Chase was too happy to notice his fellow crewmates staring at him in such away. Eventually the crew decided to head towards Chase's home island since he claimed not to have been there in a long time. While heading in the direction, they came across a flaming island.

"This your home?" Zoro asked Chase while they neared it. Chase shook his head.

"No. There are a few islands on the way towards my home. This is one of them." Chase informed. Not long after Chase spoke the crew's transponder snail began crying. Luffy rushed to it with Sanji and Robin close behind.

"Huh? What's wrong? Why're you crying? You got a stomachache?" Luffy asked, confused at the sudden outburst of tears by the snail.

"Fool! It's an emergency signal." Sanji huffed. "As in, someone's calling for help." Luffy hovered his right hand over the transponder snail.

"Should I answer?"

"Wait, Luffy." She called. "More than fifty percent of emergency signals are fake." She warned. "It could be some kind of trap set by the navy." Usopp, who was near by, walked in and chimed in.

"That's Robin for ya. Luffy we should be careful." Usopp stated but Luffy answered anyway, causing Usopp to gasp in terror.

"Hello?! I'm Monkey D. Luffy and I'm gonna be king of the pirates! What's wrong?!" Luffy called with no hesitation.

Usopp smacked the captain's head, fearing the worst. "You picked up too fast and said too much!"

The transponder snail began relaying the signal. "Help!"

"What happened?!" Luffy asked.

"It's so cold... Is that you, boss?" This caused confusion to wash over the four present. This conversation went on for a while, at this point the whole crew knew about it. Once Luffy hung up the person on the other end was killed by a samurai. Kari was interested as well as Chase. Zoro glanced to Brook and asked about the samurai. Turned out that the Samurai most likely came from the Wano kingdom, which was blocked off. The Wano kingdom was not associated with the government and the samurai were so strong that the navy could not even approach them.

"I've never heard of that country." Usopp hummed then Chase chimed in.

"My father told me stories about Wano while I was still learning to fly. He said that one of them killed a good friend of his a long time ago. Another Mystic dragon like myself, and we are very hard to defeat." Chase informed. "Oh, now that I think about it, my grandfather might have visited Wano before, I'm not sure though." He huffed.

Franky then brought up a good point. "But he said Punk Hazard, not the Wano kingdom." He then looked towards the burning island. "Did he mean that island?"

"But he said he was cold. That's clearly fire, the exact opposite of cold." Kari stated while staring at the island. Everyone nodded. Chase shook his head.

"Don't judge a book by its cover, Kari. Remember that Gliese dragon's are dual type fire and ice. So maybe it's kind of like that. A cold fire." The dragon informed. Kari widened her eyes as if saying "oh yeah" without words.

Moments later Luffy decided to explore the blazing island. Nami, Brook, Chopper, and Usopp were terrified while everyone else was okay with this, especially Kari and Zoro. The crew drew straws to see who went with Luffy and who stayed. Zoro, Robin, and Usopp were the unlucky ones to go with Luffy while the others stayed behind. Chase decided to tag along, since he could easily fly the four over and not be bothered by the flames. Kari wanted to go but was told to stay by both Chase and Robin.

"We'll be back before you know it." Luffy chuckled while mounting the now much larger Chase. Sanji walked up while holding a bag before Chase took off.

"Here, I made you guys a special deep sea fish lunch, enough for all of you." He informed and Luffy took the bag happily.

"Sweet! Thanks Sanji." He chuckled and Chase looked towards Kari.

"Don't get into trouble, Tiny."

"Shut up! I'm not tiny! I'll kill you!" Kari roared in rage. Chase chuckled and rolled his eyes then prepared to take off.

"Hold on tight you guys. We're taking off." He warned then quickly jumped off the ship and flew upwards then leveled out so he would face his destination. Kari crossed her arms and pouted, upset that she could not join them.

"I could've made a road for them out of clouds." Nami huffed. "But this way is a bit easier." She chuckled. Chopped began to complain about the heat while Sanji fawned over Nami while she put up her hair. Sanji quickly began making cold treats for the two girls present. Kari watched the figure of her brother closely, making sure nothing went wrong while she let her thoughts drift into questions of her past.

"You still jealous?" Franky asked.

Kari nodded. "A bit. But I'm also kinda glad I'm staying. It'd be a little weird if two dragons left the ship. I mean, dragons are very good at reading the situation. It's very helpful in many scenarios." Kari sighed.

"I'm also thinking about my human family, but you don't need to know that, Franky." The girl thought

"You still think of yourself as a dragon?" Franky leaned over the railing of the ship.

"Yeh. Don't get me wrong, I accept that I'm a human. But I still think of myself as a dragon." The youngest Straw hat crew member sighed then let out a chuckle.

"Okay then." Franky chuckled with a dorky smile. Chopper then chimed in.

"Aren't you two hot?" He groaned from the railing he was stuck to.

"Kinda." Franky replied.

"Not really." Kari waved her right hand side to side, the palm facing her left cheek. Chopper swiftly looked at the two.

"WHY'S THAT?!"

"I'm a cyborg." Franky shrugged. "I'm don't get hot or cold as quick as normal people but I still do."

"I was trained by many different types of dragon. So I've adapted to intense weather such as this over the past two years. This is like a cozy heating pad to me." Kari giggled. Chopper groaned in agony. "Aw c'mon, it's not that bad."

"YOU DON'T HAVE FUR!" Chopper hissed. Kari stared blankly at the reindeer.

"Then take it off." She said bluntly.

The reindeer gasped. "Ah, oh yeah." He then realized something. "I CAN'T TAKE OFF MY FUR!!" Kari and Franky just laughed in response. Soon Sanji came out with ice cream and gave everyone some, since Kari and Nami told him to do so. Pretty soon everyone was relaxing, Sanji worked in the kitchen for a while, Franky relaxed on deck with Brook and Chopper, Nami stared at the island with a thoughtful expression, and Kari was working on upgrading Celes. She thought that he would be more useful in battle with these new upgrades.
