Masaomi's POV ( Ryuu no shiro/ castle of dragon- Teiko prefecture-Akashi Clan)

"So Masaomi, what do you think we should do? This is the fifth attack we had to face and thank goodness we were prepared, otherwise that village and the people won't be there anymore" Aomine Kenichi my first in command said.

It is still in the middle of the day but we were keep on reading and going through the reports and strategies of the recent attacks and riots.

I sighed, cursing myself for not being in alert and suspicious about the seemingly weird behaviour patterns of my cousin's. Damn him, what's so good about power if it's hurting  the people you rule and take caring of and disrupting the peace.

"I think for now it's better to send further troops and legions to the country sides and villages for the protection and preparations for  further unexpected attacks and so far there are no news about any spies infiltrated the clans but better be careful and be prepared for that as well. Send this information to Lord Kuroko and Lord Kagami and ask for their assistance and opinions. We'll take further decisions later. You may leave and take a break. Then start making preparations so that we can send troops by tomorrow morning. I'm off to check on Lady Shiori." I said finishing the meeting.

"Ok, Akashi-Sama. We'll be on our way then" 

The officers ,other warlords and commanders left leaving me and my faithful friends and advisors Aomine Kenichi, Kise Ryouma, Midorima Shunsuke, and Murasakibara Takeru who are known as the miracles due to the powers of beasts equal to the powers of gods of  Kuroko Tatsuma and Kagami Sekime, my cousin brothers who are the heirs of Kuroko and Kagami clans and my own.

"How's the condition of Shiori now Shunsuke?"  I asked Shunsuke since he's the minister and healer in charge of medics of the castle.

"All I can say for now is Masaomi, that she's due soon, she will go into labour anytime now. Have you forgotten that you'll be able to feel if she is in any pain through your mark of the bonded mate?"  Shunsuke replied, scoffing at my forgetfulness.

"Whoa whoa, calm down Shun. The man's gotta way more things in his plate than a normal ruler do and that includes Shiori" Kenichi smirked from his seat giving a playful gaze over my frustration.

"Well it's not like that I care or I'm not aware of it, but you keep on forgetting all the small but important things, which matters the most. I really can't believe that you're the clan ruler, if you're not sitting there on the throne Masaomi "

Really Shunsuke? I sighed knowing I can't win an argument ever with a member of a Midorima family, especially Shunsuke. But I have to say that I'm glad, having Kenichi, Shunsuke, Takeru and Ryouma as my faithful friends from childhood and their love, care and assistance. They are always here with Tatsuma and Sekime, my beloved brothers whenever I need them. Though it pains me that my once beloved cousin Haizaki Kazeyuki, who had betrayed me and his own principles, which has caused the entire power play and war for the first in the eternity of Kai empire ever, since the god of all creations created the world.

I vow on our happy memories and childhood dreams Kaze, I will bring you back to the correct path and end this foolishness with all my effort and might.

"Masa-chin? Are you okay?? Back to the earth Masa-chin?" I heard the soft voice of Takeru, which led me out of my dazed state.

"I'm sorry Takeru, were you saying something?"

"I was saying that it's time for us to leave the throne room and take some rest. Masa-chin was so distracted though. Is there anything that troubles you Masa-chin?" Takeru asked with a very worried voice. I saw the others glance at me with their worried faces as well.

"Geez, sorry to make you guys so worried. I-I was just thinking about Kaze and why he had to betray us all, you know" I said sadly, once again remembering all the past memories.

"Aww, cheer up Masaomicchi, remember we are going to get him and the Kai empire back to normal and gods and their gift of prophecy to us, each and every one of our children, friends and mates are gonna help us with this. Even Tatsumacchi and Sekimecchi and their mates, children, friends and families are with us, including all our immortal ancestors so we're not alone in this, you know?" Kise said this with a warm smile and very serious determination that took all my sadness away.

I'm really grateful for his carefree attitude which keeps his wife and everyone around him relived, no matter what situation we are in.

"Thank God Ryou finally said something right for the first time in his life." Kenichi teased which earned him a punch to the gut from Ryouma.

"What was that for you idiot?"

"Kenichicchi is soo mean!!"

"Okay calm down you two, no fighting in the throne room!!"

"Shun-chin is right and besides I'm hungry right now. Shall we go to kitchen and grab a snack before going to meet Shiori-chin?"

"Really Take? When are you not hungry? You always eat something. I wonder how Yukine is keeping up with your eating habits"

"You're so rude Ken-chin and me and my wife don't have any problems with me eating so leave Yuki-chin out of this, thank you"

"What did you say Take?"

Okay now this is getting out of hand. I know how much they care for each other and they always have their arguments, which I don't mind but now it's going completely out of control and it's not the time for this.

"Okay that's it guys" I said. "This is not the right time and~ Ouch-!"

"Masa-chin what's wrong?"

"Masaomi?"

"Masao?"

"Masaomicchi????"

I glanced over to the place where the pain comes from. The mark of the mate bond. No way Shiori?

THUD

The doors of the throne room were flew open with a servant came running while panting, saying

"M-my l-lord" he pants, "Shi-Shiori-Sama". I panicked. But I have to calm him down first and I identified him as a one who work in the medical wing of the castle. Don't tell me. Shiori is? Okay let me calm down my self first, but I have to say the pain in the mark doesn't make it any easier for my worries.

"What has made you rush over here? Please take a deep breath and state your message quickly now" I said glancing worriedly at him.

"Well my lord you need to hurry" he said finally after taking few deep breaths. " Shiori-sama is going through labour now and she's asking for your presence, it's better if you hurry" and he left hurriedly.

"That explains the pain in the mark then" I sighed, while getting down from the throne and hurrying to the door.

"Let's hurry, Shiori needs me" I said beckoning the others to follow while I'm half running myself to the bed chambers of Shiori and mine. When I reached there I heard the painful cries of Shiori's who is been asking for me every once in awhile. I opened the door and hurried inside and took her hand.

"Omi, you're here" she tried to gave me a small smile while holding my hand tightly, trying to ignore her pain.
"Yes Shiori, I'm here now. So now take a deep breath and push. We're going to see our baby soon. Take deep breath and you can do it" I reassured her giving her hand a squeeze and holding it tightly as well.

Shunsuke quickly went over to help the midwife while giving others further instructions and giving advices to Shiori on breathing and pushing.

After a one and half hour the baby was born.
