I just woke up. Why did I always have to get up early? Can't my job wait? It's 4 AM. Who gets up this early? I get up to find that my parents aren't up yet. I go into the tiny kitchen and make my cup of Carmel and chocolate coffee. I look around and find a note left by my little brother, Peter.

Dear Madi,

Out to buy more milk. Be back soon!

Ok. So he went to go get more milk at 4 in the morning. Where is he supposed to get it? Maybe I should call him and tell him there are no up all night grocery stores. Eh. He'll figure it out him self. I finish my cup of coffee and go to get on my work clothes. Maybe working at Wal-mart isn't such a good idea. I guess I have to because I'm saving up money to go to art college. I'm an artist and a good one too. It's my dream to go to art college. Too bad I have to work to be able to live my dream. I look at the clock again and decide it's time to go to work.

When I get there I see my brother sitting on the sidewalk by the door. I park my car and walk up to him. " What are you doing?" He gives me a little amused look and says," Buying milk. Didn't you get my note?" I sigh and say," Yes, but at 5 in the morning?" I ask. He looks at the door and says," Open the door and I'll go buy some and get out of your long, crazy hair."

I open the door and he rushes in. I lock the door back up and see my boss standing in front of me with his arms crossed. He gave me the cocked eye brow look that my 6th grade teacher used to give. " Who is he? And why did you let him in?" I look at my shoes and say," He's my brother and he's here to buy milk." He let his arms fall and says," At 5 in the morning? Doesn't he know its closed?" I almost laugh cos' that's exactly what I said. " That's what I said, but he never listens to me." He adjusts his tie and says," I'll let it slide this one time." He turned and went into his office.

I went to my counter where I scan items and I think you know its a check out desk.I turn on my lighted number meaning," You can check out here." I wasn't standing there but 5 minutes and Peter comes zooming up with milk, eggs, bacon, cheese, and a rose. He gives me the money to pay for it and I ask him," Got a girlfriend?" He looks at the flower and says," Yeah. She's really cute and I think she likes me so I'm gonna give her this rose and win her over with my good looks and charm." I giggle and say," Yeah, more like scare her away with your ugliness and pushy personality!" He gives me a hurt look and says in a funny voice," You wait and see!" He leaves the store and I get stuff in it's right places and stock up on things that are low..

I go into the art section and look through the paints and stuff. I look at the clock above stuff and its 20 minutes until opening time. I go through and take a quick check over and decide to go back to my check out desk. I see a crowd of people pour in and go where they need to go. I'm still thinking why get up so early just to come here and buy stuff. Maybe this day will go by fast. I can only hope.
