➳Playing with the dragon➳
"I dream, I feel. I will leave, but always come back."
➝➝➝
"Come on, Daenerys!" A young Legolas calls for his friend as he runs. Suddenly, he's tackled to the ground. Over him, the dragon stands. "Never run like that again, leggy," she scolds while letting go of Legolas, who had been captured under her claws. It had been some years since Daenerys had landed in Mirkwood and got accepted by the king to stay. The scene that happened back in her home replayed itself many times in her head but more rarely now.
The dragon queen had been as the friend that The young prince could never dream of. She was considerate, playful, and mostly kind. He liked both her forms. She would always sing him to sleep at night and case him between the giant trees of Mirkwood. Sometimes in dragon form, other times in her elven-like form. King Thranduil sometimes watched as his son would run or play hide and seek with the queen. She was always gentle with the princeling.
But Thranduil could see the specks of the creature she was trying to control. He could see that soon she would have to leave his kingdom to find another place worthy of the power that dwells in the dragon. He often thought of it, and it made him sad. He hadn't seen his son so happy ever since his mother died.
-Daenerys pov-
I curled up around Legolas as we listened to the sounds of the forest. I loved him dearly, but if it was motherly love, it was something else I didn't know. All I knew was that I would protect him forever. But I could feel in my heart that I would have to leave soon. My power was quick, too much for the elven king forest to handle. It pained me that I would leave my little leaf alone. "Can we go on a flight?" Legolas' soft voice suddenly got me out of my thoughts. I lifted my head, looking at him with purple-blue eyes.
"Sure we can, dear," I said and raised myself on all four legs. Or two legs and two wings. I lowered my head so he could climb on my back. When he had positioned himself between my spikes, I spread my winds before running a few feet and then flapped my wings, so they lifted me. I beat with my winds until we were over the trees. I then let the wind take me.

Stopping it since I don't have any impression on it:)
