Chapter 17

Cross and Reaper woke up soon after Drako 'went to bed'; two hours later actually. It wasn't a surprise for Drako and Torment; Cross liked to train early in the morning and Reaper probably didn't get a lot of sleep –which explained his addiction to coffee– since people died at any time of the day and the night. Poor guy, it was probably the most he slept in a very long time.

Not like Torment and Drako could say anything, really. Torment usually slept once a week, and more if he wanted to, while Drako didn't sleep unless forced or knocked out –and usually he needed to be knocked out if they wanted to force him because otherwise he always found ways to escape–. He was rarely willing to sleep, but when he was, the gang almost wanted to throw a party each time. Cross really was the only one of them with a remotely decent sleep schedule.

Once awake, they both started to panic at the sight of their new bodies, but soon calmed down thanks to Torment and Drako. They would need to get used to this...

Drako got out of his bed with Reaper on his shoulder, while Cross took place on one of Torment's tentacle. Not that it bothered Torment; he was used to this. Sometimes in the morning, he had almost all his gang on him because they were still too sleepy to walk properly out of their rooms. Most of the time, they were hanging from his tentacles while muttering nonsense, but there was occasions when Torment ended up with one in his arms.

"Damn it my fur is a mess!" Cross gained everyone's attention by saying that. And it was true, his fur was quite disheveled and seemed in need of a good brushing. Torment and Drako snickered at the sight, while Reaper just smiled, deciding to stay silent. His fur was just as much of a mess; he couldn't make fun of Cross. "We'll ask Gaster if he has a brush, don't worry."

"AnD If He DoESn'T, I CaN AlWAYs tAKe OnE FrOM a StORe." Both of the furry balls nodded in response, trying –and failing– to clean their fur a little with their paws. The two skeletons smiled at how cute they looked while doing so, and none of them noticed Torment taking out his phone to take a picture of them. Once done, he saw Drako motion to him to send the picture, which he did with a smile. They both nodded at each other, silently promising to take more pictures of their two fluffy companions and to send them to the other. "Oh, AnD I THouGHt AbOuT It LaST NiGhT-"

"Instead of sleeping?" Drako only looked at Cross silently before continuing what he was saying without taking the time to answer. Cross could only stare at him disapprovingly. "If YoU WaNT, I cAn HeLP yOu TrAIn To FlY?"

Reaper shrugged. "I don't think I need it, I had wings back in our Multiverse, and these ones are quite similar. It should be easy to get used to it." Drako nodded, remembering the few times when he saw Reaper's wings. He didn't use them often, as he was floating either way, but it was truly a pretty sight when he did. Cross sighed and nodded. "I would like some help. But that doesn't excuse you from staying up all night!"

Drako did his best innocent look toward the fluffy dragon before doing what any brother would do to their sibling. "ToRMeNt ALsO StAYeD Up!" He denounced him.

Cross and Reaper looked confused at the name, since they were sleeping when Torment decided of it, but quickly understood he was talking about their goopy father-brother-like figure after seeing him look angrily at Drako. Cross frowned. "Both of you need to sleep, stop doing that!"

Reaper raised a brow –which was hard to see with all his fluffiness– interrogatively. "They stay up often?" Cross sighed and nodded in response. "Yes. Night-Torment?" He paused, looking at the goopy skeleton who nodded, before continuing. "Torment sleep usually once a week and if we don't force Drako, he wouldn't sleep unless knocked out!" Reaper frown after hearing that, eying the two Gods disapprovingly. Being one who couldn't get much sleep because of his job, he knew very well how unhealthy that was.

"That idiot already spent eons without an hour of sleep." Drako stuck out his tongues at Torment, surprising Reaper, who didn't know that the skeleton had five fucking tongues. Torment just looked at him disapprovingly. "AnD I DiDn'T HaVE aNy PrObLEM aFtEr. AnD StOP TrYiNG To TuRN ThE CoNVErSaTIon AgAiNST mE WhEN yOU Don'T SlEep YoURSeLF!"

"... How can you not be coffee addicts with so little sleep?" The two skeletons turned their attention to Reaper, smiling before answering. "I sImPLY dON'T nEed To SLeEp So No NeED FoR ThIS To StaY AwAkE."

"And I don't really need it either. Of course, I can't stay too long without sleeping, but I don't need as much rest as a normal Monster. I thought it was because we were both Gods, but you seems to need sleep to function... And coffee." Reaper nodded while Torment was speaking, giggling a little at the mention of his soulmate; the coffee. He could only curse Fate for not granting him such an advantage. The poor SOUL almost fell asleep more than once while he was reaping SOULs. And even if the lost SOULs were amused at the sight of the incarnation of Death being half asleep and drinking coffee, he would rather be completely awake to do his job.

Drako and Torment laughed after hearing the God of Death mutter about how unfair it was for him –and that he needed his coffee, but that sounded normal coming from him–. Cross finally noticed that something was missing in the room and asked about it. "By the way, where is Blue's hammer?"

Torment nodded toward Drako, who summoned the weapon in his hand with a smile. Cross simply whistled in response, adding a simple 'Cool dude!'. Drako dismissed the weapon with a smile. "Oh By THe Way, ThErE'S sOmeTHINg fOR ReAPER And You On tHE DReSSeRs."

Both dragons looked at the dressers in confusion, the skeletons holding them walking toward it so they would see. Cross' eyes lighted up at the sight of the bandana and the chocolate. Before he could jump on the dresser, Torment grabbed the bandana and put the chocolate bars with the rest. He then let Cross examine the bandana, taking the time to do the same, before attaching it around his neck. "Woah thank you Drako! I love it! But where did you get the chocolate?"

Drako laughed in response. "It SEemS LiKE ThIS cRoSs HiDEs hIS ChOcOlATE StaSH At ThE SamE PlAcE YoU DId." Cross gasped and pointed a paw toward him accusingly. "I knew it! It was you who kept stealing my chocolate all the time!" Drako only smiled.

'Is that considered stealing if I take an other me's chocolate?' It was what Cross was thinking about, knowing every places where this Cross would most likely hide his chocolate if he really used the same hiding spots. It was technically Cross' property, and he was Cross so... It should be okay, right?

Reaper, for his part, was looking at his new bandana with unhidden interest. "You're the one who made them?" He looked at Drako, his eyes widening after seeing him nod. "Wow you're really talented..."

"Couldn't you tell already by his clothes? Yes, he made them too." Reaper let out a gasp, surprised by Drako's talent. And Ink who was saying he couldn't create... Another lie of that damned Creator. He looked at the bandana more, and paused when his eyes landed on the brooch. "Is that...?"

"YeS, It'S LiFe'S FlOWeR. I ThOUghT YoU WoULD lIke To HaVE It WiTh YoU."

Now, Drako was ready for a lot of things; one of them being Reaper screaming at him for modifying the flower, but he didn't expect to get hit by a fluffy dragon repeating thanks in boucle. He awkwardly patted Reaper's back, looking at Torment for help. Of course, the King of Negativity decided it was a good time to take a picture. 'Curse you Torment.'

"I would have done the same!" He wasn't even surprise by Psyche's intervention.

Drako then put the bandana around Reaper's neck, smiling softly after seeing the dragon's bright smile of happiness, while Torment was muttering things about 'damn positivity'. The four of them then left the room. They were surprised to see Gaster already awake –even if he still seemed quite sleepy–. It was only five in the morning after all, why was he already up? "Huh... Sir? Why are you up already?"

Gaster jumped at Cross' question, letting out a small yelp of surprise before turning toward the four new additions to his family who, strangely enough, seemed completely awake. Well as awake as can be for Reaper, considering his never-ending tiredness. His eyes widened in surprise. "What are YOU doing up already?!"

Torment sighed, sensing that what he was going to say would awoke the father instincts in Gaster's SOUL. "Drako and I don't actually need to sleep. Cross is used to be up early to train and this is probably the most Reaper ever slept because of his past job." Gaster frowned at that. "Does that mean Drako and you didn't sleep at all?"

Torment and Drako looked at each other before nodding and doing their best innocent faces, not taking the time to answer. But when Gaster was about to fall for it, Cross decided to betray them. "No, they didn't."

'Damn it Cross!' Was the only thing they thought, glaring at their monochrome brother, who didn't look fazed at all by the glares. They then looked up at Gaster, offering a nervous smile at the adult who was looming over them, arms crossed and a disapproving expression on his face. "... If you need to scold someone, scold Drako! I sleep once a week at least while he almost doesn't sleep at all!"

Drako growled at his brother, his eyes narrowing slightly in frustration. "TrAIToR! I DoN'T NeED To SLeEP, UNlIkE YoU!" Before they could start an argument on who should be scolded and put back to bed, Gaster cleared his throat, gaining their attention. "Both of you. Back to bed. Immediately."

Both of them crossed their arms over their chests, looking unimpressed by Gaster's tentative to force them back to sleep. Torment's tentacles were swaying gently behind his back, proof that he didn't see Gaster as a threat, and therefore didn't need to obey. Drako just looked at him with amusement. Did he really thought two Gods would listen to him like this? Even if he adopted them, they could still easily overpower him without breaking a sweat. Reaper rolled his eyes. Gaster's order wasn't directed to him, but even he felt pity for the poor man. Trying to give orders to two Gods? Yeah, he would need more than that. Even he wouldn't have accepted to go back to sleep in their place.

Cross sighed, knowing it was useless. "They won't listen to you. And even if they went back in the room, they wouldn't sleep and would most likely plan a way to make you regret ordering them to bed. Unless knocked out, they need to be willing to sleep, and they definitively aren't." Gaster looked at the mostly white dragon in shock. "So you want to just let them not sleep?! It's unhealthy for them!"

Drako rolled his eyes. "We'VE BeEN dOInG THaT FoR EoNS NoW, I DoN'T SeE ThE PRoBLeM." Torment nudged him gently with one of his tentacles, smiling slightly. "You don't see the problem with anything that is considered abnormal." Drako only shrugged in response. He was right after all; he couldn't see the problem in many things when he should. Mostly things bad for his health and himself. But it was not his fault if he had a fucked up sense of normality.

Gaster looked toward Reaper to have a form of support, only for the reaper to shake his head with a sigh. "Can't help ya Gaster, I wouldn't have listened to you either. Gods' ego, all that. I'm just jealous that they don't need to sleep while I need to... As if people only died during the day... I need coffee."

The adult sighed in resignation, understanding that he wouldn't convince them. "Alright, then follow me, I'm going to make breakfast." It was easy to see that Gaster was still too tired to deal with disobedient Gods, and probably shared Reaper's need for coffee at the moment. Before Drako could teleport away, Torment grabbed him with one of his tentacles, making him hiss silently in response. "I know you won't eat since you already ate yesterday, but you're coming with us."

Drako didn't protest, knowing it would be useless, and let the octopus of the family carry him toward the kitchen. The two dragons could be heard making fun of him gently, and Psyche would probably have joined the two if they could hear them.

They soon arrived in the kitchen. Torment dropped Drako –on the floor of course, he couldn't be carried and dropped in the chair, that was too much to ask from Torment– and went to help Gaster by preparing the coffee for the two most sleepy of the family. Drako got up and went toward the fridge to take the ingredients out, mumbling things about Torment being a 'damn fried octopus'. That earned him to get slapped in the back of the head by one of said octopus' tentacles, while Psyche was laughing their nonexistent ass off.

Cross and Reaper went to sit on the table, not being able to do much without putting fur in the food. While the three skeletons were preparing the food, Cross gently nudged Reaper, making him froze for a second, looking at Cross in fear.

He only calmed down a few seconds later since Cross was still alive and let out a sigh of relief. Cross noticed it but didn't say anything. He instead asked him the question he had on his mind since they arrived here. "Do you think we still have our magic now that we're dragons?" Reaper shrugged in response. "I don't see why we wouldn't have it, but we can try to summon something if you want?"

Cross nodded and tried to summon one of his knives while Reaper opted for his scythe. Both weapons easily appeared above them, making them smile happily. "Guess we still have it!"

"Yes but... I don't think I'll be able to use my scythe like this. Or you your knife." Cross hummed in response, playing with his floating knife. "No, but I still can throw them at least. Can you move your scythe? I never saw you fight without holding it..." Reaper answered by moving his weapon up and down before making it twirl a little. "Yep~"

Drako sighed and stopped Reaper's scythe without turning around. The weapon of the reaper was getting way too close to Gaster for comfort. "SToP PlAYiNG wITh YoUR wEaPOns, You'RE GoNNa bReAK SOmEThING Or HuRT SoMEOne."

Cross rolled his eyes, unsummoning his knife. "Yes mom." Reaper snickered and unsummoned his scythe. "That answer your question?" Cross nodded. "Yep! That means we're not just useless pet, we can actually help if there's a fight!"

Reaper frowned after hearing that. "You... Already plan for us to get into fights?" Cross looked at him weirdly and gestured to Drako and Torment, who were discussing while making food. They had somehow managed to force Gaster to sit down while they were preparing everything, and the adult seemed grateful. Even if the scythe going straight at him did scare him. "We don't know our counterparts' relationships with this Multiverse, and as discussed previously, they both are easily recognizable. We are bound to get into fights with our counterparts' enemies."

Reaper hummed in response. It was true; it made sense. Cross suddenly seemed to have an idea, turning toward Torment. "Hey Torment! Our Dream didn't know you could take your passive form, right?" Torment only hummed in response, while Gaster was confused by the name. "You think we could prank this one if he doesn't know either?"

Torment shrugged. "Possibly, but I'd rather not. If he is like the one of our Multiverse, he will jump on me and cry like a baby about how he is 'so happy to have is brother back!'. Berk, disgusting." Torment took a higher pitched voice while imitating Dream, seeming really disgusted by him. It was a surprise for no one that he didn't consider him as a brother anymore. The guy preferred to listen to a soulless Creator instead of his own brother! He could have forgiven his ignorance before the Apple Incident; they were young at the time. But he never seemed to grow up! That always managed to make Torment angry.

Drako, noticing his brother's tentacles swaying faster because of the anger, went near him and patted his shoulder, easily gaining the King of Negativity's attention. Once done, he hugged him, making the goopy skeleton freeze for a second before relaxing and hugging him back. His tentacles also wrapped themselves around the glitchy skeleton. They let go of each other after a few minutes, both smiling.

"I'm sorry to interrupt this clearly adorable sibling moment, but who is Torment?" Both Gods blushed at being called adorable. They were supposed to be scary and intimidating! Not adorable! Where did that Gaster ever got that from?! "It's my new name." Gaster nodded in response. "Oh, alright."

The two Gods quickly finished making breakfast and placed everything on the table. They gave Gaster a cup of coffee and grabbed a bowl to make it easier for Reaper to drink. They smiled after hearing the reaper purr in happiness at the sight of his coffee. Cross was offered a bowl of chocolate milk, which also made him purr in joy.

"I'm GoINg To WaKe ThE BaByBOnES UP." Before having the time to receive an answer, Drako was already out of the kitchen. He went upstairs and knocked gently on the children's door before opening. "BrEaKfAst Is ReADy, CoME HeRe KiDdOs."

Papyrus got up first and grabbed his brother in his arms while getting up. Sans let out a whine of protest at the loss of the bed's warmth but let his brother take him to the kitchen without complaining. Drako followed Papyrus, who seemed already awake and full of energy. They soon joined the others, and the children sat near their father, while Drako took a sit next to Torment. They then started to eat. Gaster was trying to make conversation with them to include them more in the family –he noticed that Cross and Reaper called him 'Sir' or 'Gaster', even if he didn't say anything. By doing that, the two already put a large distance between them. They accepted to be adopted but probably didn't consider him or the children family yet, which was understandable– and learned more things about them. For example, he learned that Drako knew how to knit! Of course, it wasn't much, and they only told him what they wanted to tell him, but he was happy with that for now. It was the start of a new life for all the family.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I recently re-watched 'Avatar: the last Airbender' and now I really want to make an Error fall into this world, as I don't think that I ever saw it yet, but I have absolutely no idea of when I should put him in the storyline nor what type of bending he could have, if he had one-
Anyway, would you be interested-? And if so, when would you prefer for Error to join? At the very start? Later?
(Note from future Lunar; I watched 'The Emperor's New Groove' yesterday because I was bored and... Is 'llama' a good reason-? Anyway, I watched it and also wanted to write something on it. I fucking hate myself. I need to stop having idea, I already have almost 100 waiting in my notes-)
I'm sorry, I forgot to post this chapter yesterday. I was certain that it was Monday, and I just realized this mourning that it didn't make sense at all by thinking back about what I did Monday. So yeah, here's the chapter, sorry-
It was bound to happen with me anyway. Worse part is that yesterday, I finished writing a chapter for another story and I still wrote that I finished it on a Monday despite looking at the date beforehand. I hate myself-
Anyway, nothing much happened in this chapter besides Gaster getting even more traumatized by the children he just adopted. Nice.
I hope that you enjoyed this chapter! ^^
Lunar's out!~
