Chapter 15

Drako wasn't able to escape his octopus of a brother, who forced him downstairs, walking past a smiling Gaster directly toward the kitchen. He was then put on a chair while Nightmare was taking his plate out of the fridge, putting it in the microwave to warm the food up. He could only sigh in annoyance, being observed by Cross and Reaper, who, he was sure, would warn Nightmare if he tried to escape. He could teleport, but the King of Negativity would find him, somehow. He always did, even when Drako hid in the weirdest place –it was the reason he was sometimes called the 'cat of the gang', and he wore this nickname with pride–. Sometimes, the black boned skeleton asked himself if Nightmare didn't put a detector on him or his phone to always manage to track him down. He even found him when he was suppressing his aura, so it wasn't that either!

Nightmare was just able to always find him, therefore running away was useless in that case. And it was maybe a little too soon to start a wild goose chase across this unknown Multiverse. Perhaps, in a few months, maybe he'll consider it.

Drako could see Gaster and his sons peeking out through the doorway, making him sigh. He rolled his eyes at the sound of Psyche's laugh echoing through his mind. Of course, they would laugh at him. He swears that if they find a way to give Psyche a body, he will force-feed them!

Sighing in resignation, he decided to at least start a conversation, since he knew he was doomed anyway. "So... HoW LoNG Do YoU GuYS ThINK It WILl TaKE BeFORe InK DeSTrOy OuR MuLtIvERse?" Nightmare hummed, seeming in thoughts. "I don't know, honestly, we killed quite a lot of Judges, and obviously, their AUs followed their deaths, so our Multiverse is actually emptier than it had ever been... Knowing Ink, though, they won't last a month. Perhaps even a week, since he is probably trying to recreate everything while we talk."

Drako sighed. It did sound like Ink to do that, and he didn't have much hope for his Multiverse after his fall anyway. Not that he cared, almost everyone he cared for –that was still alive– were here, with him. Granted, he would have loved the Charas and Toriels to be here as well, but he guessed that everyone couldn't come, otherwise Dragontale –and this Multiverse– would soon be filled up. "AnD DiD YoU ThINk aBoUT A NeW NaME?"

Cross looked at him strangely. "Dude, we learned we needed new names not even a day ago, let us some time!" Drako laughed slightly, scratching his cheek, where his tear marks were, with an embarrassed smile. "He is right Glitchy, it took you more than that to finally find yours after all!" Drako frowned slightly and mumbled his response. "If YoU DiDn'T ReJeCT AlL My IdEas, It WOUlD HaVE BeEN FAsTer..."

They all looked at him curiously. Reaper was the one to ask what was on everyone's mind. "What are you talking about Err-Hum... Drako, sorry?" Drako turned his gaze toward the now-dragon God of Death and huffed slightly. "PsYcHE bEiNG aNnOyINg, GeT UsEd To IT."

They all nodded, holding back a snicker at Drako's expression. The black boned skeleton seemed already done with Psyche's bullshit, and he only met them a few days ago. But that didn't fool them, they saw the fond look in his eyelights. Their glitchy friend already had adopted that Voice.

Nightmare then put the plate in front of Drako's face, his tentacles swaying in warning. Clearly, he was telling him to not try to escape it if he wanted to escape being force-fed. How nice. Drako just sighed and looked at his portion, grimacing slightly. Thankfully, Nightmare had a bit of pity, since he could see his plate was less filled than before. It didn't mean it wasn't too much for his liking of course!

Drako looked at the plate of lasagna in front of him as if it personally offended him –which might be true honestly, at this point–. He opened his mouth to try to escape, only for Cross to cut him off. "No, you won't get away, don't try to argue."

Drako could only glare at his monochrome brother, while Reaper was stifling a laugh. "Does that happen often?" Cross wasn't nearly as sympathetic with the glitch, laughing freely. "Every time we try to feed E-! Drako. He doesn't eat, in case you couldn't tell, so feeding him is quite the hassle."

"Plus that idiot put up a fight each time, since he hates being forced to eat. Which is why we put up the 'eat at least once a month' rule. He still tries to escape it though. Which is why you might have already seen the whole gang chase after him in the entire Multiverse."

It was true, Reaper remembers seeing them chase Error in different AUs, even passing in Reapertale, while the Destroyer was laughing his nonexistent ass off, screaming things like 'YoU'Ll NeVER CaTch Me ALiVE!'. Considering he couldn't die, they weren't supposed to ever catch him... But they managed to catch up to him in the end. Truly, it was funny to see, and Reaper had to admit he followed them, watching the show while drinking coffee.

"At first, he didn't eat and sleep because Ink was creating too much and he needed to keep the Balance stable, but after a while, he started to find it useless." He paused, then started to talk in a sickening sweet voice, looking at Drako like an angry father. "But now that we're away from that Multiverse, surely, he will start to take care of himself, hmm?"

He wasn't letting place to any argument; the goopy skeleton would force him to take care of himself if he didn't do it by himself. Drako could only sigh, tired of all this. He finally picked up his fork. "Come on, the faster you eat, the faster you'll be free!"

Psyche's encouragements didn't help in the slightest, only making him want to run away more. He groaned and started cutting his food, looking at Nightmare straight in the eye while approaching a piece of lasagna near his mouth. Nightmare's eye widened and his tentacles started to get slightly agitated. "Don't you dare eat the-!"

He was cut off by a loud crack, and a weirdly metallic sound while Drako was chewing on his food, looking strangely smug. He then opened his mouth, revealing a half-eaten fork, while Nightmare and Cross facepalmed –well Cross did as best as he could, now having paws–. They didn't seem surprised, but Reaper could only gasp in shock while Gaster ran toward Drako in panic. The Babybones seemed to find it quite cool, and Nightmare could only hope they didn't try to imitate his idiot of a brother. "Spit it out!! The fork isn't comestible!!"

Drako just looked at him, seeming quite amused, and swallowed the food, and the fork, making the only adult panic even more. Nightmare just sighed. "Don't worry; he does that all the time. His magic is extremely destructive, so he can eat anything without problems. It will convert into energy and magic either way. That little bas-" He paused when he saw the warning in Drako's eyes, and looked toward the children. He coughed. "That idiot absolutely loves to do that. You don't know how many time I had to 'buy' new silverwares."

Of course, Nightmare wasn't going to say he didn't exactly 'bought' them but more likely 'took them for an indefinite period of time without paying' from the AUs' stores. Hey it wasn't his fault anyway! Nobody would sell to the bad guys of the Multiverse!

Drako and Cross looked at him with a knowing smile, both knowing how chaotic the gang's 'shopping sessions' were. Dust became a demon once in possession of a trolley, and the others clearly weren't helping. A total bunch of overgrown children; only Nightmare and Drako stayed calms and matures... But even them joined in the fun sometimes. They couldn't stay serious all the time after all!

Reaper, even without being part of the group, knew how chaotic they could be, since he had to reap a few SOULs where they were shopping more than once. He never knew whether to be amused or tired by their craziness.

Even without being in the confidence, Gaster could feel that something wasn't normal in their way of 'buying' things, but he didn't ask. No need to be more traumatized for today, thank you very much. The children didn't seem to notice anything, really thinking they bought the silverwares –or other things, but silverwares in this case– like normal Monsters. They didn't know that normality was a foreign concept to them, but they'll learn it fast enough. Nothing stay normal with them, even if the whole gang isn't here. It just means it will be slightly less chaotic.

And so, Drako was forced to eat all of those damn lasagna. He had nothing against lasagna; they were in fact quite good! But damn he hated being forced to eat. 'Maybe I should use some pink paint on this octopus...'

A smile appeared on his face and a little giggle escaped him. Oh how Nightmare is going to regret ever force-feeding him. He already knew what to do, and had another idea, since the paint wasn't enough for his liking.

Gaster and the children backed away a bit after the demonic look in Drako's eyes while Reaper was just curious about what he could be thinking about. He saw too much weird things to be scared of this. Cross and Nightmare only sighed in despair, knowing fairly well that it was just Drako preparing his vengeance. Like. Every. Single. Time.

It was always the same; one of the member of the gang –generally Nightmare– forced him to eat, he found a way to avenge himself, traumatizing the poor SOUL for a while, and the next month, they were doing it again. It was always like this.

Once he was done, he got up and did the dishes before sighing. "HeRE, I'm DoNE, HaPPy?" Nightmare raised a brow with a small smirk. "You didn't eat dessert, Ruru~"

"OH FuNK NO!" was the only thing that was said in response before Drako ran out of the house, making everyone laugh. "Damn, and that's the Destroyer everyone feared back in our Multiverse?" Reaper could only see someone endearing and sweet now that he truly got to meet him, not someone who should be feared and hated. Cross shrugged. "Yep, he is really different than how Ink portrays him to be, right?" Reaper could only nod in response.

"But will he find his way back here...?" Nightmare looked at the worried face of the Babybones and their father and smiled slightly, happy that they seemed to care for his brother. "Do not worry; it's Drako we're talking about. He will find his way back, either by himself or with this universe's codes. You would be surprised by how many things he can find in them, truly."

Gaster only nodded in response. Reaper hummed softly. "But he was right; we should start thinking about our new names..." He turned his head toward the two children and their father. "You too, by the way." Sans and Papyrus tilted their head on the side, seeming curious. "Why should we have new names? Our names are cool!"

Cross sighed, but a small smile was present on his snout because of the children's innocence. "Well, if you guys meet the different AUs later, this will soon get confusing, y'know? Since there are other yous. It's to tell you apart from all the Sanses and Papyruses... I don't know if Gaster will need a nickname, since in our Multiverse, most fell into the Core and never got to interact with AUs. It's probably the same here, so you won't meet your counterparts I think." Gaster only hummed in response. "The...Core?"

Reaper raised a brow. "Yes? It's what supply energy to the Underground. It's supposed to be made by the Royal Scientist, which is you... Or well, your alternate versions at least, don't know if you are one, since Drako told us the Great War didn't end up with Monsters being sealed Underground, so it might also be different?"

"I indeed am the Royal Scientist... I'm not really needed actually since the Monsters' continent is doing perfectly, no need for me to create that type of invention. I still do researches and work with our King, but other than that, we don't have such a thing as the 'Core', as you call it."

The two dragons and the King of Negativity hummed in response, shrugging soon after. "Then you should be able to meet the different AUs, since you have no reason to disappear like most Gasters do. It would be best if you had a nickname if you interact with them, but not necessary I guess."

Gaster only nodded in response. He will probably think about a nickname, since it would be weird for other versions of his children to interact with him otherwise... He still couldn't wrap his head around the fact there was other versions of his Babybones, even if he had four of them under his care now.

"By the way, Drako didn't add our codes into this Multiverse yet, did he?" Cross' question was answered by Nightmare and Reaper shaking their head slightly, making him hum softly. "Guess we'll have to ask him to do it once he'll be back."

It was silent for a few minutes, each of them seeming in their own thoughts, before Nightmare spoke again. "We should also make a believable story as to why you suddenly have two more sons and their dragons, since in most AUs, skeletons are quite rare. And chose which 'dragon' will go with who." Gaster went to sit down on a chair, frowning slightly. Nightmare was right; it may be a problem to explain. "You're right, you can't just come out of nowhere, it would be weird..."

Before they could talk more about their new backstories, Reaper spoke up. "Nightmare, I have a question, if you don't mind." Nightmare hummed at Reaper, listening to his question. "How will we do with the other AUs? Because I can't imagine a Nightmare or an Error not looking like you two, and if they got the same type of reputation than in our Multiverse, it might be a problem. Cross and I probably won't have any problem, since we look quite different, but you two? I mean, in our Multiverse, Ink and Dream would have attacked any versions of you, even if they were teenagers... Or children."

Reaper felt a shiver run down his spine at the thought of those two attacking children. They would have done it under the pretext they were dangerous. He knew so. And nobody would have stopped them, thinking it was the right thing to do. Nightmare sighed. "I don't know. I could take my passive form, but this Multiverse's Dream might recognize me. And Error can't change form... I guess we'll have to show this Multiverse that we don't plan on causing havoc or something? I think I talk for everyone here when I say I'd prefer to not have to fight everyone all the time." They all nodded at this. "Let's just hope they aren't as stupid as everyone in our Multiverse..."

The next hour was spent with them all trying to come up with new names and a credible backstory, which turned out to be harder than anticipated. Nightmare was quite angry to have to change of name, and Reaper didn't want to simply call himself 'Death', making it harder than necessary. Since they couldn't find a name for them, they started to tease Cross, telling him to call himself 'Oreo' or 'Fluffy', to which the small dragon answered that he was not a 'flipping cat'.

Soon, Drako came back, looking surprisingly happy. "You enjoyed your walk Ruru?" He only nodded in response, going straight toward the goopy skeleton and hugging him without a word. He looked toward Cross and Reaper, silently inviting them into the hug. They didn't question Drako sudden affectionate behavior, simply joining the hug –well Reaper did question it but shrugged it off–, Reaper being careful not to touch Cross. He knew he was supposed to be able to control his deadly touch, but he didn't want to risk it until he trained it enough. "What got you so affectionate Ruru?"

Nightmare made a mental note to start thinking of new nicknames for Drako, since 'Ruru' didn't really made sense anymore. Drako just shrugged. "FeLT LiKE IT."

That answer didn't surprise Cross and Nightmare, who knew Drako had his moments like this, where he is extremely affectionate without a reason. They think it's because he is used to always being hated, which made him sometimes want affection without any reason, or because he doesn't want his loved ones to feel as sad as himself. Anyway, they understood his need for affection and were quite happy to give it to him. They were soon joined by their new father and siblings who, even if they didn't really understand, were happy to give Drako the affection he deserved.

They stayed like this for a few minutes before they let go of each others. Nightmare then mentioned at his brothers to follow him before going back into their room. Once in it, the octopus closed the door and took a sit on the bottom bed.

"So... When you were away, we discussed about some things. Firstly, we need a credible story as to why we suddenly appeared out of nowhere and got adopted by Gaster. Obviously, with all your scars, he directly went for the tragic backstory, something about Humans scientists who kidnaped us and kept you in a white room to explain your leukophobia, then when we managed to run away, he found us injured and took us in. I'm guessing you told him about the Anti-Void?" Drako nodded in response.

"I see... Well, it could explain somethings, since he told me there was some Humans who still wanted Monsters dead and that it already happened in the past. Are you okay with that backstory?" Drako shrugged. "I dON'T ReALLy CaRE HoNEStLy, If YoU GuYs ArE OkAy WiTH It, I aM ToO." Nightmare hummed in response.

"Great, then I guess we have already that... We also need to decide who Cross and Reaper will stay with, since they are supposed to pretend to be our dragons. That one isn't urgent, but it would be nice to know." Drako looked at Cross and Reaper. "ThEY ShOuLD Be tHe onES To CHoSE, NO?"

"He asked us, but we don't really care honestly." Cross shrugged after saying that, and Reaper nodded. They then started to talk about it, and decided that since none of them cared, their respective dragon would be the one with whom they'll go outside next time.

"There is also the names problem. We don't really know what name to pick, but we will find out eventually... Well we did suggest some to Cross but he didn't seem to like them." Drako raised a brow questioningly, while Cross started hissing at the goopy King, seeming annoyed. "I am NOT a fucking cat, damn it!"

Now, he was really confused. "A cAT?" Reaper and Nightmare just laughed in response while Cross rolled his eyes. "They suggested stupid names that people would give to their pet! It was highly offending!" Drako snorted, imagining his monochrome brother with ridiculous names. "Oh don't you dare laugh, you're supposed to be the cat of the gang!" Reaper raised a brow at that comment. "Why would Drako be the cat of the gang?"

"You'll see next time we try to feed him... Probably. Or if we play hide and seek, maybe." It was the only answer he got, making him even more confused. He knew how hard it was to make Drako eat, but why would that make him a cat? He shrugged, deciding that it didn't matter for now, and that he'll found out soon enough.

"Then we got the Multiversal problems... Like how we look like. This Multiverse's versions of us will probably look like us, and it could cause us some troubles. We can't do much about that beside hope for it to go somewhat good." Drako nodded, sighing at the thought of how this Multiverse's habitants will react to them. It probably won't be a good reaction, but surely, they'll manage!... Right? Yeah, no, it was going to be awful, he could feel it. But it will never be worse than in their Multiverse, hopefully. "Finally, we need you to add our codes to this universe's codes, is that okay?"

Drako gasped in shock. "DaMN iT I FoRGoT AbOUT That! I'M DoInG ThIS RiGHt nOw, ThANks." He then opened the codes of the AU and easily managed to insert his family and himself. Being the Destroyer gave him a good knowledge of codes and how to modify them, making it extremely easy. "DoNE. I'lL NeED To MoDiFY It OnCE YoU'Ll hAvE YoUR NeW NaMEs, BuT FoR NoW, It WiLl DO."

They all nodded, thanking Drako for doing it. Then, they started to talk about different things concerning their new lives and past experience in their old Multiverse. Soon enough, two Babybones came into their room to wish them a good night and dreams –Nightmare barely managed to control his urge to scoff at the mention of dreams–, followed by Gaster who brought two big cushions with him.

"I'm sorry, I don't have anything else for Reaper and Cross to sleep on, since Sans prefers to sleep with his brother. I don't know if you're okay with sharing beds too, so here. And good night, young ones." They all thanked him, wishing a good night too, even if Drako muttered something about them being older than him. He then left the room.

Nightmare and Drako thought about where to place the cushions, only for Reaper and Cross to say they'll sleep with them, making them place the cushions on their bed each. They stayed up a few minutes, discussing some random things, before all going to bed. Nightmare took the bottom bed, and was accompanied by Cross, while Drako took the top one with Reaper.

And so, a new day ended in this new Multiverse.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello!
Drako wasn't able to escape getting feed. And he ate the fork, of course. This was absolutely primordial.
Their backstory is extremely cliché, I know, but they needed something traumatic-
I don't have much to say, honestly-
Next chapter, Nightmare will get his nickname if I remember correctly. Cross and Reaper will have theirs later-
Also, I had a question for my next story, can you all read those fonts?
𝔅𝔬𝔬~
𝕭𝖔𝖔~
I plan on using them for a character, and maybe other fonts for some others, and I know that some don't show on certain devices, so I prefer to ask. And if you can't see them, would you rather have the sentence written after in parentheses, or would you want me to put a comment in which I rewrite the sentence? Or something else-
Anyway, I hope that you enjoyed this chapter! ^^
Lunar's out!~
