Chapter 12

Everyone was ecstatic after learning that the Destroyer was dead. A lot were scared of the way Ink acted and of how he didn't hesitate to push someone into the Void –a death most wouldn't even wish their worst enemy–, but in the end, it was fair. He killed billions of Monsters and Humans alike, destroyed many people's AUs... He deserved to suffer for all eternity. The Void was actually the perfect sentence for that evil being!

At least, that's what they told themselves. They couldn't pity that horrible Monster after all. Even the slightest thing about him –actually, some didn't even refer him as a person anymore, and called him an 'it'– was a reason to suffer. Even the thing the most normal, like his habitude to stargaze in Outertale. Yes, some found that a bit extreme, but it was the Destroyer they were talking about, anything was good to hate him! He didn't deserve pity or mercy!

And so, everyone was getting ready for the biggest party of the Multiverse; celebrating the death of a cruel Destroyer. Some prepared food, some put the decorations in place –while others were creating them, Ink insisted on making this party full of creative things, as a symbol of Creation's victory against Destruction. Frankly, he was taking this too much at heart–, some others preparing things like the songs that would be played. It would be a memorable event, they were all sure of it!

Some decided –pushed by their brothers for the lazier ones– to come dressed in a more fancy way, just for the occasion. During this time, Stretch was sitting with Dream, who was trying his best to comfort the lanky skeleton. He couldn't believe his brother attacked them and went to Nightmare! Was he really that brainwashed? How did he not notice sooner? Was there still a chance to save him?

Those questions repeated themselves non-stop in his head, but Blue's final words were the most painful and what stuck the most.

'You are no brother to me, Stretch!'

He couldn't have meant it... Right? There was no way his small blueberry of a brother would reject him like this, right? For what? Getting the Multiverse rid of a nuisance? What did they even do to his brother to make him react like this? It was obviously Error's fault, which only made the tall skeleton happier that he was no more. Oh how he should have tortured him more for kidnapping his brother, he almost regretted calling Ink instead of doing this. But at least, his universe was saved that day. That's all that mattered, and Ink did broke most of his bones that day, which was pretty nice.

Stretch sighed, thanking Dream for the attention, deciding to go out to smoke a little. Certainly, his brother would come back anyway. He would realize the Destroyer's death was for the better, even if he had been brainwashed. And in case he didn't, he could always ask Sci or Medic's help. Surely, they would find something to make his brother back to normal!

Dream could only sympathize with Stretch's situation. He himself lost his brother, and could understand how the Swap Papyrus was feeling. He didn't feel that good knowing one of his best friends went willingly with Nightmare, but as Stretch said, he was surely brainwashed. Poor Blueberry...

The positive skeleton sighed, deciding to go see his artistic friend, who went off to create some AUs to celebrate Error's death. Now that no one was stopping him, he was going to create all the time! He had so many ideas, Dream could only laugh when he saw how excited his best friend was. Yes, the way Error was killed did sound horrible to Dream, but after a moment of thinking, he realized that the Destroyer could not have been saved. He wouldn't repents himself, and they couldn't kill him. It was the only solution in the end. It's wasn't like he didn't have the choice to stop his evil doings after all! Yes, it was his own fault if he was being torn apart and put back together by the Void. For once, Dream wouldn't feel pity toward someone's pain.

Dream smiled when he saw Ink on the floor of the Doodle Sphere, multiples sketches of AUs just waiting to be brought to life by the Creator's magic. "Hey Ink, how are you doing?" Ink turned his head toward his friend, excitement clear in his eyes. "Better than I have ever been! I just imagined a coffee shop themed AU!"

Dream paused for a second. "Didn't you already make one last month?" Ink's eyelights changed to a green lozenge and a pink interrogation point. "I did? I don't remember... Oh well, if I did, another AU like this won't hurt anyone! Plus, I thought about putting cats in this one, so it's not exactly the same!" The positive Guardian stayed silent, even though he was certain they already had this exact same discussion the past week. Curse Ink and his terrible memory.

"Okay then... The preparation for the party are almost done, and everyone will probably come soon so we should go back." Ink hummed in response. "Alright, let me just finish those AUs before!"

Dream nodded, watching his friend get up and use his magic on the numerous papers around them –there was probably around twenty of them, and he left only five minutes ago, just how fast Ink was?!–, making all the AUs come to life.

Once done, he looked at his work and smiled brightly, making a smile of his own form on Dream's face. "Perfect! And there's no more Destroyer to destroy you, my dear creations... I'm so happy Dream! It's the best day ever!" Dream laughed, seeing his friend jump around in happiness. "Come on, let's see the others!"

Ink grabbed Dream's hand, teleporting the two to the AU of the party. Ah, yes, it was truly the best day ever... The two didn't pay any mind to the small shake following the creation of those AUs. It probably wasn't important anyway.

They just had to wait a few minutes before the first Judges started to show, some even bringing their brothers with them. Ink was welcoming everyone, showing proudly this AU to them before letting them roam around.

It just took an hour before everyone arrived finally. Ink smiled and went on the stage at the front, grabbing the microphone. "Hello everyone! As you all know, today, we're celebrating the Destroyer's death! You no longer have to live in fear of seeing him come destroy your homes! We're all free and for that, let's make this day the most memorable day of the Multiverse!"

Many cheers followed the small intervention of the Creator, making him smile while going toward his positive friend. He saw some starting to dance, some running toward the drinks, other toward the food. It was going to be a great party, no doubt.

Suddenly, a colorful portal opened near the entrance, catching the two Gods' attention. From it, Fresh got out, smiling brightly. Ink smiled too. "Fresh! I thought you wouldn't come!" That wasn't true, he didn't even notice the colorful skeleton was absent. Maybe the drunk Fells –how in Toby Fox's name did they already managed to get drunk?!– who were swearing profusely should have gave it away. "And missing such a radical party? No way dude!"

Ink smile after hearing that, but his smile soon disappeared after seeing who was following Fresh. "O-Oh! Reaper! I didn't expect you to come!" Reaper smiled at him, seeming quite happy for some reason. "I didn't expect it either, since nobody told me there was a party, but Fresh insisted for me to come. Heh, couldn't say no." The unhidden reproach wasn't missed by the two Gods, but they didn't say anything about it. It was true after all, he wasn't originally wanted here. "We didn't? Oh my Toby Fox, I'm so sorry Reaper, I thought I did!" He just shrugged, not seeming bothered by it.

They both went around the place, Reaper going straight toward the drinks, happy to find some coffee, that he took with a smile, noticing but not reacting to the people getting out of his way to not touch him. Were they always that cold toward him, or was he just noticing it now that he saw how true friends should act? Probably the latter, he couldn't have noticed before since it was how he was always treated. He saw Fresh talk to a few people, censoring the drunk ones and simply being himself. Everything was going perfectly.

Reaper took out his phone, taking a sip of his coffee before sending a message to his real friends, explaining how the party was doing. He received a response almost immediately, saying that they would come a little later. Just letting them enjoying their damn party before the end...

Reaper nodded toward Fresh, which nodded back. Of course, nobody noticed. Who would care about the weirdo and the coffee addict, after all? Oh how Reaper wanted to grab some of them, just to show them how his deadly touch worked. After all, he was feared for it, might as well give them a reason to fear him.

After a few minutes, a black portal with slight teal colored swirls opened, gaining the attention of everybody. Wasn't everyone already here? Who was that?

Their questions were soon answered when a goopy skeleton came out of it, a dark smirk adoring his face and a dangerous glint in his single eyelight. "The fucking King has arrived!"

He was soon followed by all his gang, who all wore the same smirk on their faces. Finally, Blue came out, making Stretch fight back a sob. His brother shouldn't be with those demons! Dust was the first to talk after Nightmare. "Aww, you didn't even invite us? How mean of y'all~"

They were all stunned. What were they doing here? How did they found out about the party? How did they even managed to get here?!

But it wasn't all. Soon, another portal opened, from which all the Charas and their equivalents came out. A murderous glint was present in their eyes. Surprisingly enough, after them came the Toriels and their equivalents. Ink was the first to talk, standing protectively in front of his creations. "What is the meaning of this?! What do you want?!"

Nobody noticed some Monsters starting to dust in the background.

"Why, we came to avenge our dear friend. You know, the one you pushed into the Void, who was protecting us all from the dumbass you are, hmm?" Nobody understood the last part, but everybody understood that a fight will soon follow, and got into fighting positions. "I won't let you harm any of my creations, Nightmare!"

Dream soon came next to Ink, charging his arrow, a feeling of discomfort engulfing his SOUL. It wasn't like his twin to talk so much before a fight, it was like he was waiting for something...

A scream behind them made them jump and turn around, only to see Reaper and Fresh smirking at them, and a good part of the Monsters present already dusted. A look of pure treason flashed across the two Gods faces, while Nightmare just laughed. "I think it's already too late for that~" And just like that, all hell broke loose.

Nightmare's gang started to fight violently, making all the Judges panic. It was actually easy to see some specially targeted some Monsters; like how Killer directly went toward Color, for example. Nightmare decided to attack his twin, unsurprisingly, but also targeted Ink. Cross was at his side, attacking Ink with a rage unknown of the usually calmer skeleton. Dust went to help Killer, while Horror was slaughtering every Monster near him, not caring about who it was. Blue was the worst to see, fighting at their side with a strength unknown of the sweet blue clad skeleton.

The place was a mess in just a few minutes; bones attacks and arrows sticking out of the walls, holes made by Gaster Blasters' beams, dust flying everywhere, decorations and entire walls destroyed. It was easy to see that Nightmare's gang was out for dust and a strong desire of vengeance. They didn't know how they managed to convert Fresh and Reaper to their side, but it didn't help; the parasite was surprisingly strong and the God of Death killed everyone close to him from the simple slash of his scythe or just by touching them.

Dream tried to shoot his brother once more, who just turned into a mass of goop before reappearing behind him, trying to stab him with his tentacles only to be stopped by a wall of paint made by Ink, who quickly went behind it to avoid getting it by Cross' giant knife. The positive Guardian gripped his bow firmly, preparing an arrow to shoot Nightmare once the wall would be down, while Ink readied himself to run at Cross, gritting his teeth slightly.

When the wall finally disappear, they were surprised at the absence of their two opponents. It only took Ink and Dream one second of surprise to be struck by Cross' knife and Nightmare's tentacles respectively, making them cry out in surprise and in pain. Both smirked evilly, Nightmare shooting his tentacles toward Dream, who tried to protect himself by shooting the tentacles, only managing to hit one of the three going at him and ending up stabbed by three of his twin's appendages, making him bit his tongue to hold in a cry of pain. He tried to use his aura to fight off his opposite, only to shiver at the overwhelming negativity around, caused by the others' panic. He grabbed Ink's hand –who was being stabbed repeatedly by Cross' knives– and teleported away, wincing slightly due to his bleeding injuries. He saw his brother's mad grin and shuddered slightly, not used to seeing him like this. He wasn't usually like this during their fights! The worst was that he knew it was only the beginning.

Color wasn't doing better, trying to fend off both Killer and Dust at the same time with his Blasters, while the two dodged like it was nothing. They were perfectly synchronized, attacking almost at the same time, making it hard for the colorful skeleton to avoid everything. A bone attack was sticking out of his shoulder slightly, making him wince with each movement and slowing him down more than he liked. At some point, he managed to hit Dust straight in the chest, missing his SOUL only by a few inches, making the dust covered skeleton gasp in pain, falling on one knee but still trying to attack, summoning Blasters of his own. Killer was visibly less focused, frequently looking at his comrade with... Was that concern? Wasn't he supposed to be emotionless because of Nightmare? Color didn't have the time to question it more, getting suddenly hit straight through the SOUL by one of Killer's knife. The not-so-emotionless skeleton repeatedly stabbed him until he dusts before running toward Dust, who was now coughing blood, seeming more affected than he was proud of by this single shot.

He stopped Killer from fussing over him, slowly getting up and teleporting to one of the Toriels, who started to heal him without saying a word. The only problem was that by killing an Original, the AU and its copies died with them, killing their Toriels and Charas with it. They were now way less than at the beginning, and seemed to struggle with the Judges and healing everyone. Dust saw Chaos fight side by side with Reaper, making him smile at how powerful the two were together, before getting up. He thanked the Toriel who was healing him –an UnderFell Toriel apparently– and ran toward Horror, summoning a bone in his hand and effectively blocking an attack that was thrown to the Horrortale native skeleton. Horror nod in thanks, swaying his axe toward the Sugar copy that he was fighting and effectively dusting him.

Dust decided to attack the one who tried to kill Horror, a Birdtale Sans –Original or not, he didn't care– and started by targeting his wings with his bone attacks, knowing he wouldn't be able to move if they were stuck. Flying had its' advantages, but also its' inconvenient, and Dust would use that against that Sans. He quickly got rid of him and moved to the next Judge.

Horror ended surrounded by an Undertale Sans –a copy, Classic had been evacuated from the very start– and an UnderFell Sans, making him growl slightly. He charged at the one in front of him –the Fell one–, quickly stabbing him before dodging a lone bone, smirking slightly.

He soon lose his smirk at the feeling of a second one penetrating his SOUL, making him let out a muffled cry of pain, falling to his knees in front of the smirking copy while he started to dust slowly. He coughed some blood, making him wince slightly before grabbing his necklace. He knew he would die here; he was the one with the smaller magic reserves because of the starvation he went through. Seeing Nightmare teleport at his side –quickly stabbing the copy with one of his tentacles–, he smiled sadly and gave him his necklace, tears appearing in his eyes. "Ya betta hug Erry for me... When this is done..." He hugged his boss one last time, who had now tears in his eye, and smiled slightly, seeing his SOUL quit his body and get absorbed by his necklace. He was now at peace, knowing that his magic would increase the defense of the one having his necklace. He would be with them even after the end...

Feeling Horror die, Reaper froze, turning his head to see a crying Nightmare, who was soon followed by the others. He sighed sadly, quickly ending this copy of Stretch's life. He knew all too well how death affected others, being the literal incarnation of it, and he himself felt his SOUL tightened at the loss of the big skeleton. He really grew fond of this gang fast, which surprised him greatly. Perhaps it was because they actually treated him like an actual person...

If the Judges thoughts that Nightmare and his gang were violent before, now they were unstoppable. The sadness and rage of losing Horror made them attack way more violently, but at the same time recklessly. They were blinded by rage, making their attacks powerful but less calculated. They destroyed everything in their way, alive or not.

Sadly, it lead to Dust accidently running into Reaper, making them both froze. Dust was quick to react, grabbing his own necklace and giving it to Reaper. The God of Death knew how precious those necklaces were to them, and could understand why they wanted to save them. "Kick their asses for me, will ya?" It was the last thing the dust covered skeleton managed to say before he dusted away, his SOUL getting absorbed by the crystal. With a newfound determination, Reaper continued to kill everyone in his way, finding himself side by side with the 90's parasite once again.

Killer was the next to go down. He used too much magic and was soon overwhelmed by the crowd around him. Not being able to teleport, he could only take the hits until Cross ran at his side, quickly getting rid of most of the Judges. But it was too late and the skeleton was already dusting. Once again, the dying member gave his necklace to the closest ally; this time being Cross.

The fight went on for a bit until Nightmare, who noticed how the Charas and Toriels were incapable of continuing, and not wanting to lose more of his family, decided to retreat with his gang. Cross, Reaper and Fresh went toward him by teleporting, making the King of Negativity frown. 'Where is Blue?'

Suddenly, a cry of pain caught his attention, and he saw a bloody and dusty Blue above his brother, hitting him repeatedly with his Blaster Hammer, a wicked smile on his face. When Stretch was nothing but a pile of dust, he teleported in front of Nightmare and took his scarf off, gently wrapping it on the end of the Blaster's head. He then held his hammer toward him. "Wha-? Why are you giving me your hammer Blue?"

Blue only smiled in response, shaking his head as his body started to dust. "I killed the Original UnderSwap's Judge, Nightmare. You know what that mean for my universe; I'm not going to make it. So please, keep your promise and give my hammer to Ruru." Realization flashed across all of their faces, making them fight back tears. That little idiot knew he was going to die from the very start! He planned it all! "Tell Ruru that it was an honor to meet him, and that I was happy to be part of his family." Blue then hugged Nightmare, dusting in his arms and smiling at the feeling of his SOUL being absorbed.

Nightmare held the hammer, only thing left of Blue –how it didn't disappear when he died, he didn't know, perhaps the necklace attached to it was alimenting it with magic, since it contained Blue's SOUL? He wouldn't know–, close to his chest and looked around the place.

Everything was destroyed beyond recognition, only a tenth of the Original number of Judges were still alive, and they were pretty beaten. Ink and Dream themselves were exhausted. The Charas and Toriel too, and went back to their AUs a little before Blue's death. Nightmare snarled in anger, hating the fact that those bastards killed his family. He saw Horror's axe, Killer's knives and Dust's scarf on the floor and grabbed them with his tentacles before turning toward the three last alive except him. "We're going now." They all nodded, a grim expression on their faces.

Nightmare opened a portal toward the manor, walking in first, soon followed by the others. They stood in the living room in silence for a few minutes, before Reaper broke said silence. "So... What are we going to do now...?" Nightmare sighed. "We're... We're going to take everything we consider important and prepare to jump into the Void."

And so they started collecting things that were important to them –and to the decreased of the gang, not wanting to left them behind even after death. Honestly, they didn't fully registered yet that they were truly gone– in a bag each.

Reaper went back to Reapertale, grabbing some clothes and the crystal flower Life offered him a few years back. He didn't have much important things anyway.

Cross grabbed also a few clothes, some chocolate and a few puppets Error gave him and the decreased ones. He could only stare blankly at the puppet of his now dead friends, while tears were rolling down his cheeks. His Chara didn't say anything, seeming just as sad as him.

Nightmare took a few of his favorite books, his old Guardian clothes, with his crown, and new clothes along with the stuff he took before leaving that damn AU, never putting Blue's hammer down, as if it was going to disappear. He also grabbed Error's birthday gifts.

They didn't know where Fresh went, nor what he could have taken, but he was the first in Outertale. He greeted them with a smile devoid of any happiness, to which they all responded with a solemn nod. They were surprise to see Fresh without a bag. Cross asked a question, trying to keep his mind away from his friends' death. "You don't have anything to take?"

"All in my radical inventory." He answered simply, shrugging. "Well, it was nice to help you, see y'all later." And with that, he disappeared in one of his famous 'Fresh Poof', making them all confused. "He... Doesn't jump?"

Cross and Nightmare shrugged in response to Reaper's question. "It's Fresh, he'll probably either find another way or will come after causing some chaos. Let's just go, I can't bear to stay in that damn Multiverse any longer."

And thus, the three of them jumped.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I suck at fighting scenes, damn it. X)
(Note from later; I suck even more at it than I thought back when I wrote this-)
Soooo... Sorry for the deaths-
As said in the last chapter, I had forgotten about Reaper at first, so Killer was supposed to replace him, but in the end, Reaper took his place.
This was bad and the next one will be just as bad-
I didn't fulfil my goal of writing a chapter each day, I'm sad-
Oh yeah, I had a few things to say. Firstly, there probably won't be any ship in this book. Some might be heavily implied, but nothing else, as I can't make up my mind about who to ship with who.
Also, if everything goes well, there should only be one more chapter left for me to write once I'm done with the hellish chapter that I'm currently writing. So I'll either start another story, or you can suggest some scenarios that I could write with this book's characters. Not now, since it's only the start, but would you all like the idea of it? If so, I'll probably put that proposition in either a later chapter or make an author note.
Anyway, normally the next story should be the one with Error as an author himself and putting Ink in a chicken disguise, as it seemed to be the one you liked the most, unless I get more inspired by another one. I still don't know if he should jump or not, though, nor where to put him if he does. It shouldn't be as long as this story though, as I already know how this will probably end if he doesn't jump and it shouldn't take too many chapters.
And I think that this is it...? I'll probably remember something else after publishing this chapter, my memory is almost as terrible as Ink's sometime-
I hope that you enjoyed this chapter! ^^
Lunar's out!~
