Chapter 11

-During this time, with Nightmare and his gang in the other Multiverse-

Saying that Nightmare was devastated was an understatement. He and his family lost Error a couple days ago, and they couldn't get over it. One would expect to see they crying and being depressed, and they were the first day, but their sadness was soon overcome with rage when they realized why Ink wasn't already creating and slowly destroying their Multiverse; that bastard dared to throw a party in honor of the Destroyer's death!

They learned that because Cross went to spy on them while they were preparing to make them pay, probably by crashing a meeting or something equally useless. When he came back infuriated, they knew something was up. As much as Cross was one of the most childish sometimes, he was also one of the calmer member of the gang, and even if his emotions were all over the place since Error was pushed, seeing him so angry could only prove that something was up with the so called 'Heroes' of the Multiverse.

When they learned of the party, they all went haywire, destroying everything in their path, before tiring up and sitting down, tears cascading their faces. Cross mentioned that everyone seemed more afraid of Ink since the ambush, but that was to be expected since the soulless bastard finally showed his true colors.

Blue was the one to suggest what they all thought about; crashing this damn party and killing as many Blind Judges as they could to avenge their friend. Who cared if they were Originals or not, their friend was gone because of them! The only person who was holding them back from killing everything and everyone on sight was not here anymore, and it was all their fault!

Now, if they were knew as the 'Bad Guys' of the Multiverse before, they were now going to show them how real bad guys act. They didn't even care if they died in the battle; they were all doomed the moment Error fell into the Void. If they were going to die, they'll die like the demons everyone thought they were. If they thought that getting rid of Error would assure them 'peace', they were even more stupid than what Nightmare's gang originally thought. And they didn't have much hope for those Blind Judges, unlike Error who still hoped for them to see the truth.

And like that, they gathered information on this party, learning it was being held in a special AU made specifically for the occasion. It was the only AU that had been made since Error's death, since Ink was too occupied by organizing his cursed party. Not that they cared, their Multiverse was going to collapse soon anyway. Everyone knew about Ink's creating sprees. They wouldn't last long without Error. Actually, that managed to make them smile a little. They couldn't wait to see everyone's face when the AUs would start collapsing with each others, even if, knowing Ink and his army, they would probably blame Nightmare, even though they all knew he couldn't destroy universes.

They trained hard, knowing that all the Judges of this damn Multiverse would probably attend the event. They warned the Charas and their equivalents, who were on full Genocides Runs, and if not, they were attempting to kill the Judges, not caring about the Run they were in. The Toriel stopped playing their roles and answering the Ruins' door, being also close to Error, even if no one knew that beside Nightmare's gang. The First Fallen Humans all wanted to join the 'party', and they couldn't refuse them that. The more, the merrier, as they say. The Toriels where also coming –or rather they forced themselves on Nightmare, who didn't want to face a bunch of angry goat mothers. Did they all adopt his dear brother without anyone knowing?–, some to fight, and others to heal the gang if they were to get injured, which was nice, really. Nightmare felt that they would need it. Truly, this fight would go down in the Multiverse's history.

They were ready to crash that stupid party, they just needed to wait now, since the party would take place later that day. They were now sharpening their weapons for the ones with physical weapons –like Horror's axe or Killer's knives– while talking about who they wanted to kill –Blue was very adamant on taking care of Stretch, unsurprisingly–, when suddenly, a colorful portal appeared, and a skeleton they knew all too well came skating out.

They all looked up without threatening the colorful skeleton, knowing that even if he was more on the Neutral Side, he was very fond of their glitchy friend and probably also needed some comfort. However, they didn't expect him to say what he did. "I'm coming with you, and I don't care if you disagree." Seeing Fresh drop his lingo was rare, but the tone he used let no place to argument. He would come, even if they weren't the one to bring him. Knowing that, they just nodded, making the 90's Nightmare –Nightmare never understood nor agree to be compared to him– smile a little. "Did y'all went to Glitchy's radical home since the total unrad ambush?" Aaaand the slang was back. Dust was the first to respond.

"No, why would we?" Fresh smiled slightly, as if knowing something they didn't –but when did he not know something they didn't? It was Fresh, that guy knew everything and nobody knew how that was even possible–. "There's som'thing totally rad that y'all need to see there. Promise, you'll see, it's da bomb, you'll like it my brotato chips!"

They all looked at each others, hesitating, before Nightmare sighed and nodded. "Ok, open a portal then Fresh." Fresh finger gunned Nightmare with a smile. "Aiight, got it homeslice!"

He opened one of his eye-killing portal and motioned to them to go in, which they did without any complaint, ending in the never-ending white hell Error called his home –or prison, depending on his mood–. Horror sighed, looking around. "What did'ya want to show us?"

"Look up, homies, you'll understand." They did as told, only to be met with Error's blue strings, his puppets and the numerous SOULs he collected during his eons of work as a Destroyer. They frowned, and Cross was the one to ask what was in all their minds. "What did you want us to see? There's only his puppets, the SOULs and his strings."

Now, Fresh hates cursing, it's a known fact about the living parasite, but right now, he really wanted to curse their stupidity. His glasses changed from their usual "YOLO" to a "REALLY?", while he looked at them expectantly. He smiled when he saw Nightmare and Blue's expressions brighten suddenly. "ERROR IS ALIVE?!"

They all turned toward Blue –who was the one who shouted–, seeming confused. "What? What are you saying, we saw that bitch of a Creator push him into the Void..." Their expressions soon turned angry, thinking it was all a cruel joke. "Well yes! But look, his strings are still up! I remember when I first met him, he told me that magic was all about intent, and that if the owner was to die, their magic would follow soon after and disappear. But his strings are still there! That means he is still alive, somehow!"

Realization flashed across all of their faces, and a smile grew on said faces, their previous anger totally forgotten for an ecstatic happiness, making Nightmare curse their positivity that weakened him, even if he was just as ecstatic. Fresh smirked at their reaction, knowing their glitchy friend was still here, somewhere, and that they would find him now that they knew. "Gosh diddly darn it, it took y'all long enough! Now that y'all know that our glitchy pal is still alive, let's focus on this unrad party, those Judges still need to learn not the mess with the darn Balances!"

That alone caught everyone's attention, a maniacal glint appearing in all of their eyes –even the young Swap Sans, who was supposed to be one of the saner of them all–. Oh they were going to make them suffer like they never suffered before; they were going to make the Genocidal Runs look like heaven. "Now, let's bounce!" And with that last comment from Fresh, they all got back to the mansion, ready to spill some dust. Fresh was the only one still standing once they arrived. "Those totally unrad Judges don't know I'm buddy with our radical Glitchy, so they invited me to their hella unrad party. I'm gonna go see the AU and take pictures so we can plan where we will appear from. See ya home skillets!"

And with that, the 90's parasite went off to spy on this damn party, while Nightmare's gang was still processing this news. Error was alive! Nightmare gently grabbed the crystal around his neck while hugging his family with his tentacles. "Error."

They all grabbed their crystal, murmuring their friend's name just after Nightmare. And what they saw made them all smile; Error was being hugged by a Gaster, a young Papyrus and... Was it a dragon? They didn't really care if it was one, what mattered was the smile –even if he seemed incredibly awkward, curse his social awkwardness– adoring his face and what they heard after Error was done telling this Gaster his story and proposing him to stay with his sons and himself.

"So, Drako, welcome to the family!" Error –why was he called Drako? Even if he looked clearly different, they could tell it was their Ruru– smiled and nodded, hugging back the children on his laps. "My OnLy CoNDItIoN Is ThAT YoU aCcEpT tO AdOpT mY FaMiLy tOo iF ThEy FOuND A WAy To JoIn Me HeRe." It made them smile, even here –wherever 'here' was, frankly they didn't know–, he still thought about them before anything else. They saw the Gaster nod with a smile. "Of course, I will be pleased to meet them, and I'm sure Sans and Papyrus would love them." Nightmare smile, feeling Error's –or Drako's? Damn, he will need to explain himself when they find him, even if the end of the story explained already some things– happiness coming from his necklace. They swore they heard a Voice saying he was now stuck with them, either that he wanted it or not, before Error rolled his eyes with a smile.

They all held their crystal close to their chest, some at the brink of tears at the sight of their friend. He was really here! Alive and seemingly well! And that Gaster was accepting them in his family without even knowing them! They listened to Error tell stories about them with a fond smile, making them smile even more and forcing Nightmare in his passive form –too much positivity for the goopy skeleton–. They were all determined to find their brother now, even if they had to jump into the Void –which would be logical, now that Nightmare thought about it, since it was how Error ended there– to do so.

That didn't mean they wouldn't crash Ink's party, of course. This whole Multiverse could consider that as a goodbye gift. They knew it was dangerous, and even now, they knew some of them would possibly die, but they were filled with an unsustainable desire of vengeance. They hurt the big brother's figure of the gang, they will be faced with the consequences.

After a few more minutes, Fresh came back, seeming clearly angry. His glasses didn't show any word of message and he didn't have his usual laid back smile on his face. "They're almost done. Ink did his part and went off to create more AUs now that 'that evil Destroyer is no more'. Probably in a creating spree while we talk now." Once again, he dropped his lingo, seeming as unnerved as the gang by their Creator's stupidity. He sighed, putting on a clearly fake cheery smile before showing them his camera. "But I took some radical pictures, y'all need to see that!"

And like that, they all started to make plans while analyzing the pictures Fresh took, commenting sometimes. After a few hours, they were ready for the party, even if they couldn't exactly plan everything, and therefore going more blindly in the fight than what Nightmare would have liked, but they didn't care. As long as dust was spilled –Dust did get offended at some point, thinking the conversation was about him, but quickly realized his mistake and laughed–, they were satisfied.

Nightmare felt a tug at his sleeve and looked down to see the smaller skeleton known as Blue. He raised a brow interrogatively, watching the nervous smile on his smaller friend. "I... As you know, we are going to crash those bastards' party, and we're likely to lose some of us in the fight... So, if I die, could you give my Blaster Hammer to Erry? I know our necklaces will increase the others' magic and possibly offer them some powers, but I want him to have at least this... Y'know, so I have the feeling of protecting him even after I die? I know you're the least likely to die, since you're yourself part of a Balance, and therefore a minor God."

Nightmare could only gap at Blue. Of course, all of them were resigned at idea of possibly losing some in the battle –that didn't mean they accepted it nor were ready for it–, but hearing the most cheerful of the gang say that really hurt his SOUL. He would have liked to promise nothing would happen to them, but he was a Sans, and knew he wouldn't be able to keep this particular promise. They wouldn't really die per say; their necklace would absorb their SOUL, making them 'look after' the others through their own necklaces, but the feeling would be there.

He sighed, looking at the determined but nervous expression of the blue clad skeleton. "I promise I'll do it, Blue." Blue smiled gratefully, invoking his Blaster Hammer and starting to whisper at it. Nightmare always took notice of how Blue considered it more like a companion than a weapon, and they all had the feeling it was more than just one. Plus, somehow, only the ones approved by Blue could lift it, they didn't know if it was the magic of the weapon or if it had a mind of its own, but that thing caused many accident in the mansion because the gang wanted to lift it. It was funny, but the damages were annoying, so much that Nightmare put the rule to ask the damn thing before trying after seeing Error ask and lift it without any problem –somehow, it worked better, they stopped trying to question it–.

Blue took his necklace off, gently attaching it with great care to the hammer's handle. He then placed his hand on his scarf, seeming to hesitate. "Hey, Nighty, if I die, could you put my scarf on my hammer? I don't want to take it off, but at the same time, I want it to be with my hammer if it goes to Ruru..."

Damn skeleton, making Nightmare feel sad by talking about his potential death like it was inevitable. He just wanted to grab his shoulders and shake him while screaming he would live, but decide against it. He simply nodded, making Blue smile while gently caressing his scarf. It wasn't a surprise for anyone that he loved it with all his SOUL, and they knew he slept with the puppet Error gave him for his birthday.

Talking about birthdays, Cross suddenly had a thought to say. "If we're going to join Erry, we should bring his gifts! It's a bit late, but he will love it anyway!" Everyone smiled at the sweet idea. Error would definitively be happy. Suddenly, Nightmare's phone rang out, surprising them all. He checked who was calling and raised a brow before picking up the phone and putting it on speaker after seeing the curious looks of his family. "Hello Life, is something wrong?"

"Oh no dear, quite the opposite actually. San-Hm Reaper joined my garden crying about the loss of a person he could have touched, only to realize he never felt his SOUL die. I didn't feel life leave him either, so I took the time to tell Reaper about the Balances, since he was here. He wants to help our little surprise, being quite hateful of our Creator. Would you care to come and see him? He really wants to apologize for having been blind."

A small smile appeared on all of their faces. Having the God of Death on their side? That was unexpected, but clearly appreciated! "We'll be here in a second. You both are in your garden, I presume?" Life hummed in agreement.

"Indeed, we are." Nightmare nodded to himself, signaling to the gang to get up. "We're coming right now, see you Life." And he hanged up after Life said her answer, nodding to his family. "Let's go."

Nightmare opened a portal, gesturing to his gang of overgrown children to go in, before entering himself. He was met with the sight of his boys hugging the Toriel of the universe while Fresh was just looking around and smiled softly. He looked around the beautiful garden of Life and smiled until his eye laid on a depressed God of Death floating slightly above the ground as to not kill the plants. The King of Negativity sighed, feeling all the negativity emitted from the local Sans. He went near him and gently poked his cheek, making him jump and look up with fear. He gaped at Nightmare. "You... Didn't dust...?"

Nightmare only scoffed in response. "Please Reaper, I'm a God too, of course I wouldn't dust! Dream didn't tell you that?" The look on the reaper's face was all Nightmare needed as a response. "Tss, what a sad excuse of a friend." He grumbled angrily, gently patting Reaper's head. "Ink, Error, Dream and I can't die by your touch since we're all Gods. Even if Dream and I are only minor Gods. I'm guessing he didn't want to approach you too much, since your deadly aura would weaken him, or he was too scared to try." Reaper didn't answer, seeming shocked by the news. "Ink did tell you that... Right? He can't be that much of an asshole to leave you without telling you when you're clearly touch starved?"

Reaper shook his head, making Nightmare frown. 'Damn bastard, of course he wouldn't tell him...' Without any warning, Nightmare grabbed the God of Death with his tentacles, forcing him into a hug he really deserved. Reaper froze, before starting to cry softly, hugging the King of Negativity back while all the others watched with a smile. He gently rubbed his back and stayed like this for a few minutes before finally talking. "Now, let's talk about this party, huh?" They all nodded, took place on one of the chairs and started talking.

Now, they were already angry at Ink before coming, but learning that Reaper didn't even know there was a party until Life asked him why he wasn't preparing for it like the others Sanses only made them hate him more. Yes, they hate the reason of the very existence of this party, but Reaper never did any wrong and never chose to have a deadly touch. Even if he probably wouldn't be comfortable in such a crowded place, not inviting him was once again a proof of Ink's meanness. It was a secret for nobody that there was once a Christmas party where Reaper's touch was ineffective –they swore they heard Blue mention something about spiking the punch, and they were happy to not have been there. Only Error and Fresh were, and the Destroyer regretted it when Stretch punched him in the ribs, effectively breaking one or two–, so Ink could have done something similar for Reaper. He was intentionally rejecting him.

"Damn, why didn't you join us sooner if they're so cruel toward you?" It was Killer who asked that, grabbing one of Nightmare's tentacles to pat the poor God gently –as much as it annoyed Nightmare to be used like this, it was the only way to touch him, and it was already more than what the Council ever tried for him–. He shrugged, hugging one of the King's tentacle with a small smile. If he knew they were so nice, he would have ditched Ink and the Council sooner! But something was making him curious.

"I heard that Blue went with you after the ambush but I didn't know Fresh was on your side?" He winced slightly at the mention of the ambush. He wasn't there, he didn't want to participate to something so cruel, even against the Destroyer of Worlds –he was quite happy for that now that he knew why Error destroyed–, but it still feels wrong to talk about it. It makes him think about everything he could have done to protect Error. Of course, his brother wouldn't have accepted it, for once, he was very adamant on wanting a death to be painful. It... It didn't felt like his brother to think like that. He knew that Grim, his Papyrus, went to the ambush, and didn't really talk to him since. Not like it mattered much, they never truly talked because of their jobs. It made him realize how bad their relation was, and the feeling was only increased after seeing Nightmare's gang act like a family when they weren't even related.

"I ain't really 'on their side' per say, but it would be totally uncool of me to be against them knowing how radical they are! Plus, Glitchy is my buddy." Fresh simply answered, smiling slightly. That was enough for Reaper, who smiled and nodded in response. Suddenly, black smoke surrounded all of them, making them look up to see Chaos, Reapertale Chara. Reaper didn't react negatively, having been told about how the Charas were also scapegoats of the Multiverse. He actually apologized toward Chaos before they came, making the child quite happy. What Chaos said actually made all of them smile.

"Everyone is ready to crash that stupid party."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I can't write Fresh's lingo correctly, so sorry if this is bad.
I had to do researches and I'm now hesitating between slamming my head in a wall and being fascinated (pretty sure it's Fresh trying to get into my brain x) )-
(Note from a few months later; He didn't got into my brain yet, but I feel like I'm making him talk differently each time he appears-)
Anyway-
Back to the old Multiverse with Nightmare's gang, who's getting ready to crash a party, yay. This will be fun.
Also, Reaper joined the party! I'll be honest, I didn't plan on making him join as I had forgotten him for a while, but I'm happy that I remembered to add him. He deserves some affection-
Anyway, I hope that you enjoyed this chapter! ^^
Lunar's out!~
