I ran behind the tree hoping he wouldn't see me. The game of hide and seek was a tactful game full of mysterious surprises and hidden laughs. I quickly scaled the tree and sat in its branches using my Brown and green cloak to try and hide me even better from there sight. There was a rustling in the leaves above me and I looked up to see a boy about my age, maybe a year or two older than me.
"Thoreth what are you doing, this is my tree!" I whispered loudly.
"Jazzy Shh, your so loud going to get us caught!" He whispered back.
There was a thump at the base of the tree and I fell, or so I thought. A hand reached out to grab me from above. The boy who had kicked the tree was an inch below my feet and Thoreth slowly pulled me up until we were resting on the same branch, I looked into his chocolate brown eyes or at least that's what I thought they looked like only ever having tried chocolate once. It was too bitter for me and I spit it out even though it was considered a delicacy. Thoreth reached up and pulled an apple off the apple tree and bit into it before handing it to me. I grabbed it and bit into another spot before handing it back to him. He bit into a spot right by my bite and I giggled. He threw the apple away and kissed me. Shocked I did nothing. He opened his eyes and pulled back looking into my eyes.
"Jazzy... I think I love you." Still in shock I didn't react.
"I'm leaving today for a trade school, I'll be back in three years... but I don't want to leave you." He looked at me for a sign but I was still in shock.
"Thoreth it's time to go!" His mom yelled from her window, which was just over the hedge of the garden.
"I love you Jasmine, no matter who your parents are." A tear drop slid down my cheek and he slid down the tree and ran from the garden. I watched him go.
"I love you Thoreth Roedin." I whispered to myself.
