Firmaments with ICE - Chapter Eight

ICE's POV:
My wings lifted us up off the ground and into the air. It was warm air and I wasn't use to it yet so my scales turned a warm blue color. They did that with emotion, heat-coldness, and etc. But it was all new really because in the north where it's frozen and icy my scaled were almost white from the cold and bitter frost. This was all new for me, even Jasmine. She was wonderful... the perfect counterpart to my dragon side, she was sweet, kind, brave, and I could tell even a little stubborn at times but she was my stubborn. I looked down on the forest we were flying over, it wasn't the biggest or smallest forest I've heard about being called Little Green as it was, however there was suppose to be a forest serpent who lived in the very middle and deepest part of the forest, but it was really a bog when you got about three miles in and you could clearly see that. I swirled my head to I could see Jasmine, she had been out the first six days we were traveling and I was surprised when she didn't ask for any food.
Wasn't she hungry?
I mean I had to eat every other day at least and I heard humans had to eat three times a day, I mean how exhausting having to eat that many times a day and then she goes six days without food and she's fine?
I sighed and looked back at the bog forest thingy. I missed the snow and ice, if only Jasmine could withstand the cold temperatures, I know she would love it.
Flora?
I pushed my thought into the lovely green dragons head. She was beautiful after all, I mean for a forest dragon that is. She's got glimmering scales that any of the young dragesess would kill to have, even if they were green and those wings... Oh the structure was simply perfect, and don't forget her shimmering sparkly green eyes I mean I could get use to her looking at me like she does. And oh her simplicity it was perfect like the rest of her like every scale on her.
Yes, ICE?
I swirled my head towards her.
How many more miles is it?
She turned her head towards me and blinked slowly.
Not more than a hundred or so, we made good time. She paused. We should be there by tonight.
I turned my head back to my original forward flying position.
Thanks, and that's good.
I kept flapping my wings and she went back to her flying rhythm.
Yes, it's very good.
I smiled through my deadly teeth as I heard her purring.
