Me and Kinkajou soared through The air following Moon, I was trying to ignore Kinkajou's teasing, poking and grinning and turning millions of colours, needless to say I failed miserably.
Moon is still a better flyer than me and she doesn't get much time to practice, I'm so glad she can't hear my thoughts, that would be embarrassing.
So to distract my self I flew up beside Moon and asked, where are we going?
She turned and answered, to jade mountain, I haven't been there in over 6 years much less any where outside the night kingdom, what! You haven't been out for adventures? or hunting?
Nope! She said I've been really busy and working my way to the top I'm the most important night the General, Glory is their Queen but I'm second in command of night wings and an adviser to the Queen.
Wow!! I've certainly traveled more in the last while but you've done more than me by far!!! I can't believe she did all that it's amazing! She is very sure of her self and is great in a fight too! She's been practicing fighting, I wonder if she's seen winter lately?
Hey, Moon have you seen Winter lately, she blushed and nodded yeah he comes and check in on me to see how I'm holding up. She blushed again and I saw her fingering a moonstone necklace, a chill went down my spine. Winter must have given her that necklace and probably a kiss too, all while looking heroic and tragic, and gazing at her his scales glowing and lovingly staring into her eyes. And then a sick twisting feeling came into my stomach and my heart felt like it was burning, Winter was dating Moon and either broke up or love each other from afar, and I'm jealous, (sigh) it's like nothing has changed at all.
I looked up to see I was falling behind and Kinkajou and Moon were chatting as though no time had pasted.
It was late and we decided to sleep until morning and than go to Jade mountain. Kinkajou curled up on the ground and Moon lay down beside her covering with her wings and Kinkajou spread her wings to keep both of them warm. I lay down on the other side of Kinkajou and bigger than both I wrapped my wings around them, and we fell asleep like in a big cozy happy pile like old times and I never felt so happy.
