Goten

I flew home, as I was carrying the supplies for the house. "Kim, I'm back." I yelled, hoping to find my daughter at home.

But it doesn't seem to be the case. I found a letter written by her. 

" Papa, by the time you found this letter, I would already been gone. 

Things are not good as I was walking home from school. I found out that Nappa has taken Uncle Gohan and Pan hostage, and I knew what he wanted .

It was no coincidence. He wanted the Dragon balls to summon the dragon to do an evil deed.

I'm on a journey to find all eight Dragon balls.  I think it's best to finally tell our secret, Papa. Even if Mom was here, she would tell you the same thing.

You have keep the legacy of our family grow, and it has to be you.

I'll be careful, Papa, I love you.

I sigh, as Kim does have a point. After Komi died, I wasn't myself. I became distanced, away from Trunks, Bulma, and everyone. 

I have to help Kim anyway I can. But how I suppose to help her find the Dragon balls?

That's when the idea hit me. 

I flew to Time Corp building, where Trunks, Vegeta , Bulla lives.

Bulla said, "Goten! What a surprise!"

"Hey, Bulla. Is Bulma here?"

"She's inside with Trunks and Lin is training with Father. Is something wrong?" Bulla asks curiously. 

I run inside as Lin spots me from her training. 

"Whoa, Goten! I didn't know you came here. What's wrong, I can tell by the look of your face, something isn't good." 

I blink of the young Earthling in total amazement. "How can you tell so quickly? You know it's about Kim." 

"She's my best friend , just like you and Trunks used to be when you were kids. Does it involved with the Dragon balls?"

I said, "Yep. Listen, I want you to go back home straight away." 

"No can do, Goten. Kim is my best friend, and besides you treat me as if you raised another daughter, and you are like my father figure. I want to help you anyway I can." 

That's when Trunks appears as if he overheard our talk. 

"Trunks." I said, as he runs away from us.

I couldn't believe it. Goten has a daughter? Is that why he was distant from us lately?

As I stopped running, Goten said, appearing, "Trunks. Look, I'm so sorry that you have to find out that I had a daughter. 

It's not that easy being a single father. Kim and I ... we had a hard life when she was little, and I have to help her train her Saiyan powers.

Komi always have a way to help me with these situations. I miss her smile, her determination to help others, not just for our family.

She's more than my wife, but one of my closest friends after I went to college. I wished I can take it all back, to tell you all about us.

I'm sorry, man."

I replied, "I can't believe you hid this secret from Gohan and Goku. They're your family after all. "

"I know, but I was afraid of Kim loosing control of her powers, that is why I hid her existence from Gohan and the rest of my family.

Lin is the only person who knew about us. "

I sigh as I knew I couldn't be angry at him anymore. He needs me.

"So, Kim's looking for the eight Dragon balls. What's her game plan of rescuing Gohan and Pan in this condition?"

"I don't know.  I have to find Gohan and Pan while she is looking for them. " He said.

"Gee, that's original coming from you, Goten. " I laughed. 

Lin wears a Gi that symbols her training under my father, as I said, "You look good, Lin. Are you sure you want to fight even though you're not a Saiyan like us?"

She laughs, "C'mon, Trunks, I was your father's pupil for crying out loud! He put all his knowledge of fighting into me. 

And besides, if you want help of finding Kim, you gotta need me." 

Goten said, "She does have a point there, Trunks. C'mon, we have to find the Dragonballs as fast as possible and hopefully Kim has a plan to rescue Gohan and Pan from this mess." 

We flew through the sky as I sense her position. 

"Kim!" I said, as the teen was surprised , yet amazed of seeing us. 

"Papa! I guess you found my letter. " She said. 

Lin smacks her, "I can't believe you, Kim! You really are dense just like Goku was. Geez, why I have to look after you?"

Kim blushes, "Sorry, but Papa, if we going to save Pan and Uncle Gohan, where we go for the eight Dragonballs? 

I found a pin point of the fifth Dragonball, but I'm not quite sure how to describe it." 

"Com'on, how bad can it be?" I ask.
